I saw the title of this one and thought that you would be including a Trailmaster full off road Pod trailer with all the good things like lithium battery, fridge, awning, roof top tent, same wheel/tyre combo as my 4wd etc etc but alas it was not to be.🤣🤣 On a more realistic note I was given a Darche fire pit by my kids recently and used it on a camping trip in the Desert last week. What a great bit of kit. Well made, packs down nicely and can be used for cooking on, heating water and whatever else. It uses much less wood than an open fire and leaves no trace on the ground after use. Obviously situational as to its use and won't be any good for some people but we were very impressed with it and the people I was camping with went and bought one as soon as they hit civilization again. That looks very much like the first aid kit that floats around in my 4wd. Plenty of stuff in it but I'm struggling to find a permanent place to stow it.
The prices for some of the descent Prepper kit are now just outrageous. I was looking at the price of a BOB IBEX 28 PLUS for 26 Inch - 700C Wheel with Suspension & Yak Sak CTS109 bicycle trailer at it was £1050. That is getting on for nearly three to four times the price around 8-10 years ago, when I got my one. Prepping is getting to be a very expensive game.
This is a great list. I'm selling my new jacuzzi right now to get hold of a few of these. I want a better dehydration unit. I'd like to see exactly what is in that box and see if o can replicate for less. I'll look for you review! The first aid kit SHOULD be pieced together by the individual it's meant for, in my view. The bike would be useful on the estate. With the remaining cash I'm getting a new soild oak table and chairs for the East wing of my abode. Edit... solar cooker... here... in the UK 😂 Cheaper to get a Kelly Kettle. Cheers 🇬🇧
My late Mother was from NZ originally before settling here in Australia. She bought a Thermette which is sort of like a Kelly Kettle from what I can see and was developed in NZ. She gave it to me many years ago and it still hasn't been used. Must pull my finger out and give it a go.
If money were no object i'd buy a 150 to 200ft ship and live aboard with everything we would need to just up anchor and head for sanctuary away from the masses on the mainland . Oussant maybe Porz Ligoudou where it's nice and sheltered and warm with plenty of scope for fishing offering mild winters with a supply of food and plenty of sunshine to run solar for constant power . Nice little 20ft solar powered boat to head out fishing on and a sack of seeds to set up a community farm for the islanders and should be set for a decade or two lol . Back to reality with no prospects of winning the lottery it's a disused rail tunnel and a trailer tent and a pocket of stones for the catapult for rabbits ! .
Instead of purchasing the pre-made eV bicycle, a mid drive 750 W Bafang kit from Aliexpress on a Steel framed mountain bike would be a recommendation. This is what I use on an old 1993 Columbus Niva OR frameset and fork I designed and welded together (hard silver soldered fillet brazed) as I was 753 Master frame builder back in the day, I suppose it could be considered a Gravel bicycle today, so it was a 26 inch wheel design built from robust MTB and touring components (Brooks B17 saddle and Cinelli Spinaci acrobars etc ) with a more road style geometry. Installing the Bafang kit allows the end user to also gain experience in maintaining the bicycle in the field as well. Also even bugging out on an eV bicycle the heavy mid drive kit can be ditched if an EMP damages the Lithium Battery and controller and the original front chain wheel and bottom bracket reinstalled if taken along when bugging out reducing the bicycle weight by around 5 Kg.
I would instead get the bulk 30 meal standard Summit to Eat freeze dried food, which has real meat not just flavourings, 1/3 more calories, much easier to prepare and £10 cheaper with an additional 10% discount code. The food quality is excellent especially the Summit to Eat Pasta Bolognaise and the Summit to Eat Beef and Potato Stew.
Hi Mike, I built my own dehydrator from a 45lt tote & 4 small 12v PC fans. I dehydrate meat (biltong, similar to jerky) vegies & fruit. I will e-mail you pics. Very easy & cheap to build & works very well. I dry meat about 1/2 inch thick in about 3 days.
The Solar Oven just isn't going to work in the UK. I would go for a solar carbon storage CO2 capture organisms stove such as a Winnerwell Stainless steel Woodlander or Nomad, along with the folding oven and hot water tank or a decent kettle like the Petromax tea kettle for the Summit to Eat freeze dried meals. If using a Solar Generator such as the Ecoflow Delta Max then the Petromax tea kettle can also be used on a high efficiency induction single ring hob.

That solar oven..... Will it work in the UK..... It's almost always cloudy.... And rain..... I would rather invest in a good twigstove. Wood twigs will be more available
For your wallets sake do not buy a emp shield, with wires that small at best it can only deal with a few amps , not to mention that 2 wires connected to the battery and another wire to the chassis ( even though all negative wires are already connected to the chassis) is not going to protect anything
Solar oven in the UK ? And have those EMP shields, actually been tested or is it a "works in theory" item ? Better off with a home made first aid kit, a lot cheaper and better quality items. Totally agree on the Berkefeld, but upgrade the plastic tap for a metal one If I had the money, it would be a satellite phone
@@Lee_Proffit sorry I thought you meant the bag for some reason. Long day. Lol. The shields have a website all military and lab tested. But I’m with you. Not 💯 sure
The more powerful EcoFlow Delta 2 Max just came out not long after I picked up a Delta 2 power station similar to Brian @Scottishprepper73 but that’s only one I could afford 🔋.
I have the older delta max and x2 of the delta 2. The delta 2 max has the benefit of twice the capacity but also two solar inputs, but for the price point I went with x2 delta 2 , as it was no single point of failure . Great kit imo.
i got one........what was shocking was that it was like almost double the price of it in the US market. They tried to explain that its purely down to USD to GBP rates and tax which ofcourse only explains a % of the difference.
