Get yourself a West Bend Stir Crazy electric popper, liquid coconut oil, Flavacol and whichever popcorn you like... The Flavacol melts into the oil, and that leads to a very even popping experience as the rotating bar keeps everything even and zero unpopped kernels, almost every time-- ❤
yes there is a huge difference btwn gourmet and regular! I got some premium popcorn for Christmas and I was surprised by how much better it tasted... it was soft and more flavorful. hard to describe but going back to the regular stuff after that was like eating dry cardboard haha
Salbree popper and the Amish Medium yellow popcorn is what we use and love it. I loved the video. I was wondering if you could use oil in the popper, some say no and some say yes.
I've not attempted to use oil in my salbree popper but I bought (on Amazon) the Nordicware one which is a rigid plastic version - about the same type of plastic that the old microwave bacon cookers were in the 80's. I've used buttery topping / popping oil in that (about 1 1/2 - 2 tblsp to between 1/4 - 1/3 cup of popcorn and popcorn salt and it produces an almost perfect movie theater popcorn - you do have to pop for a bit longer than the silicone popper (add about 20-30 more seconds). I've not gotten any burned / scorched oil in my Nordicware popper either
I grew up eating either ice cream or popcorn as an evening snack. I love popcorn! Now a days I use the Silicone Microwave Popper, the Flavacol, and Jolly Time Select Popcorn. My next try is Pop Secret Popcorn. Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Kernels is good, but not my first choice. Oh, and when I add oil for popping I use Sunflower Oil.🍿
I think it would be better to leave the butter off so you could judge the taste of the corn better. The butter would probably mask the taste of the corn some what. Maybe make it taste better than it actually was. Just my two cents. Liked the video.
I use mason jars. That being said, salt is a preservative. Any airtight container will work. I use the Flavacol and coconut oil as well, and apply clarified butter at the end. YUM!

Thanks that's a great point, will do that when we test the popcorn seasonings. 👍
Super chill couple, love this.
Me and my mom loves popcorn and grandpa and grandma and my daddy
When it comes to popcorn, comparing the actual varieties is much more useful than comparing brands.
Try the red, black and blue popcorn from them.
thank you guys ! ! !
FYI, Flavacol is available at Smart and Final for a much better price than Amazon. Also, coconut oil is the best popping oil.
Lol ikr it’s only 2.99
Got like 3 boxes
I can't believe she pointed out your shirt in the video.
Waiting for the popcorn seasoning video:)
Thanks for sharing! How to store your left over salt?🙏

Since not popped traditional with oil it really doesn’t work as a test. The oil used is coconut popcorn oil
Taste is important BUT if there are hard pieces, forget it...
You gotta clarify the butter before you put it on or it will get soggy......
You should do another water video!!!!
