Have done this in the shop i work at and my god do i hate seating the bead, Its sketchy dealing with such high pressure air, Great video, You got it spot on.
Always keep your valve stem at 12 and 6 when breaking it down so you dont brake the sensor. Some have a sensor connected to valve stem anf others are a band which is when the sensor is directly across from valve stem . If it was installed correctly.
I’m actually getting new tires installed on my car later today at the Walmart auto care center in my town. I hope they do all this when they install them. I’m sure they will.
WOW, 1A has stepped up their YT game quite a bit. Rarely like music in these types of vids, however good choice a la Top Gear, maybe just lower the volume a bit more so we can hear the presenter better. Camera work is very slick, someone's got a steadi-cam....
Thank you for the demonstration. However, when mounting soft alloy wheels it is best to use the external lip clamp feature of the tire machine in order to prevent putting unwanted dimples in the customers expensive alloy wheels. Only use the internal clamp feature on steel wheels or wheels that you simply don't care if they are damaged. It's the small but significant details that make the difference. If you're paying for a professionals expertise then it should be expected.

Very interesting video and I learned from that show & tell. Good job. Once u take the tire off of the rim, that's when u should point out the tire monitor. And is the tire monitor telling me what the pressure of the tire is? Is that the job of the monitor? When did u take off the valve? I didn't see u do it. U said u hv to put the valve back on. I guess I better watch Costco doing my tires to make sure they clean my rims should they need it. Thanks again for the video.
Im doing research and going to mount my own tires in a bit..1. isnt there a dot mark where u r suppose to put it next to the valve? 2. u said u want two tires going one way and the other 2 going the other way, is that rt? 3. how do you know which side goes on the inside r ther markings on the sidewall or u use the blue line as the indicator? thnks
no I haven’t wondered. At 16 I was using these machines in auto shop. One thing I have always wondered was why does it cost so much to balance the tires when it’s so easy
the expense of the machine, weights, employee, facility, insurances, utilities, taxes, etc., all add to the cost of doing business. Even the most mundane tasks acquire some degree of expense that must be covered or the business will not exist.
Why do tire shops not pay any attention to the colored dots on the tire? Tire manufactures recommend the yellow dot line up with the stem for balance purposes.
Not enough scuffs on that aluminum wheel to use the center clamps. I only center clamp if the wheel is thrashed. With those dimples, its pretty much is thrashed now.
+Philip Webb Thanks for watching! The machine tells you how much weight to up on either the inner or outer part of the wheel. If you need to put weight on both sides you just put them on opposite ends, 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock.
+Les Tapp Thanks for watching! The easiest way to tell the difference between the two designs is to look at the hub of a hub and wheel assembly. If the hole in the center of the wheel fits snugly against the hub, then it is hub-centric. If there is a gap between the center hole of the wheel and the hub, then it is lug-centric. You would have to use an adapter to mount lug centric wheels to the machine to be balanced.
Good video but it didn't cover the red and yellow dots on the tire and what their significance is and where they should be placed on the rim. Different videos say different things, can you please verify?
+Horus Sebeck Thanks for checking us out! We're always cycling through common cars and repairs. We'll add this repair to our list. We are also working on our CC system and hope to have this in Spanish soon! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
you should clamp the wheel from the outside not the inside, any water, dirt, brake dust and it will slip potentially causing harm to operator or the wheel
You can tell this was a sales man that doesn’t know the machines. And notice how that tire iron smacks the wheel when the he rotated the table. Good tire techs will pull that out after you fold the lip over the duck head it prior to rotating..this guy demonstrates how to damage wheels and picky customers will have the shop pay for repairs. But this is why high end shops don’t even mess with these machines and go to straight touch less.

No comments on the thumbnail 😲?! ✨I am enchanted!✨ *clears throat * I'm strictly here to learn, sir. . .
The thumbnail is the only reason I am here right now. How the hell...
I like the way they had the cameras inside of a tire for the bead breaker on the turntable. Again, big shout out to the cameraman. LOL 👏👏👏👏👏

+Jonathan Williams Thanks for the feedback!
I do this everyday for work and here i am watching videos on TH-cam about it. Lol.
also tires have yellow /red dots, yellow with red , line with valve directly if only red then across to otherside with valve 6/12 o clock

I like that tire machine
Please explain which tires go in which direction.

Great informative appreciated
You didn't show how to know where in the rim should you put the weights on when the machine stops???
Great video..
Please make a video on trans fluid change for 2015 Honda Civic si please

What about the dots on the tires?
You didn't say how the balancing machine tells you exactly where to put each weight on the tire.
+Philip Webb Thanks for watching! The machine tells you how much weight to up on either the inner or outer part of the wheel. If you need to put weight on both sides you just put them on opposite ends, 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock.
@@1AAuto Yes, weight needs to go on the inner and/or outer surface but WHERE on the inner or outer surface?
Epic
How much is this machine? I might buy one, do it myself and do the neighborhood tires to pay for it.
How can you determine if the wheel is hub centric or lug centric? And doesn’t this determine how the wheel is mounted on the balancer? Thanks.
@@1AAuto thanks for the information.
Shoukd the sticky weight glue be taken off

OOH MY GOD, WHERE IS YOUR MASK AND HAND SANITIZER BEFORE YOU OPERATE ALL OF THAT MACHINERY????? YOU'RE KILLING GRANDMA BY MAKING THIS VIDEO!
Hey man. If it’s grams time to go then it’s grams time to go. No stopping god from taking her home.
That tire machine is way outdated. Should have purchased corghi master code. I would never bring my vehicle to your shop.
