I have a 2019 and purchased this bag in 2020.
I was planning a long trip but then COVID hit so canceled until I was sure what the road would be like. I added the tie down hooks to my passenger handles as I never have a passenger on the bike.
Good advice on packing the left and right bags to prevent being exposed to traffic if you need to pull over. Thanks for the review as I planning to travel more next year and was looking at this exact bag. One question. - did you install the Goldstrike highway boards and if so are you happy with them?

You seemed to gloss over the waterproofness of this You mentioned you sprayed it 5 times but gave no info on whether it kept your stuff dry. Did you end up getting a rain cover, and if so, can you give some details on that? I strap a huge dry-bag across my pillion but it looks like hell and I'm thinking about getting something like this, but I'm really concerned about keeping things dry if it rains. Thanks TWE!
Nice review, very descriptive and allot of good features on the bag. I ended up with the Cycle Gear S&S Grimer bag at 50 liters, but it's a little small and I also need a 15L bag on the luggage rack for enough clothes for 10 days. What is the total liter capacity of the Saddleman bag? 👍👍video.
I've done the same formula to get total volume inches, then asked Amazon Alexa to convert. Thanks for the dimensions.
Can u open your trunk with bag attached?

I had the same question. When we open the rear trunk, (model 2021) the top part comes back on the passenger seat. I conclude that it is necessary to remove the seatbag to open correctly the rear trunk.
