My Pilea has been my biggest struggle this year 😕 Been losing leaves consistently, they keep going yellow and then falling out, I think it's a watering issue so I've been giving it more water and moved it to a brighter spot! Fingers crossed 🤞
Ugh I needed this video too, its so easy to get discouraged in the winter. I have 2 Allocasia Polly's and am fighting the war against spider mites. Also my 2 calatheas are having a rough go with these dry cold Canadian winters. Just hoping they make it to summer! Your pilea looks great imo! Not al leaves have to look perfect, and she's got so many little babies!
it really is! isolation has been the best solution for me against spider mites because they can be pretty stubborn. the pilea is definitely doing her best 😅 i've accepted her for the funky leaves i just hope she's healthy enough to keep growing!

i feel like this winter was just horrible for syngonium for some reason?? everyone is having syngonium drama lol. i had a watermelon peperomia that was the same exact deal. one day i looked at her and was like....it's time 😔✌️
My Syngonium was looking like that as well (horizontal growth). I decided to buy a moss pole for it to keep encouraging it to grow upwards. Hopefully my other ones start vining soon!
Needed this video. Feel like a bad plant parent rn because so many are struggling so this reassured me. My adonsonii won’t stop turning yellow. It has humidity and fine light and good watering so idk what’s going on with it all of a sudden. Even new growth turns yellow. My pepperomia hate me too so maybe I’m just doomed😂
i also feel like a bad plant mama but i guess that's just part of the plant experience 😔 every spring i am surprised by the sudden comeback of my plants so this year will probably be no different for us!
Just last night, I decided to take a peek at my oldest rhaphidophora tetrasperma's (who stood 3.5 feet tall) roots. It put out two new but very tiny leaves which is out of character for my plant. Sure enough, root rot. I'm so upset. I chopped it up into a million pieces and now I have some propagating in water and some in sphag moss. I have also been battling my emerald green pothos as she too declined from a healthy mature plant with severe root rot! I can't even get her props to survive! So, yeah...
I feel like my maranta prayer plants always have mealiebugs bugs. I've never had any on my other plants. I've treated mine rabbit's foot maranta and it seems to be mealie free now. I really want to get the varigated maranta like yours but so don't want the mealiebugs again. 😣

Cupping is also a sign of low humidity. Stick it in a clear box or bag for a couple days and see what that does XX my black velvet alocasia was curling it’s leaves lengthwise and it was most definitely from low humidity. This was this past week that I stuck it in a box and within one day it straightened out.
WOOF my alocasia poly went caput real quick, I felt that as soon as you pulled it out. My mom purchased one, and I warned her about the inevitable disappointment, yet hers is thriving and has flowered twice... typical.
I just threw out two vining plants this week and I'm sad about it. They were growing and doing well in beginning of winter and half way through they stopped absorbing water well and we're majorly declining. I think my dry heat from my furnace killed them. :(
@@GoodandPlanty you can’t be left with just a couple nodes! It was prob a combination of fall coming and maybe too big a pot upgrade? You have to try again! I propagated some from mine and I’ll let it grow some more and then pass it on💕

I put my pilea into a plastic pot from terracotta and it is growing like crazy now. BTW YOUR VIDEOS ARE AWESOME!

ooh i feel you! root rot is the worst because you'll have a healthy plant for years and all of a sudden it's down to a few cuttings 😭

humidity!! and distilled/filtered water if you can 🤓 they can be little divas but usually bounce back

i feel like a trade might be the best way to get a variegated maranta while avoiding mealy bugs if you have a hard time with them!
How do you clean your leaves? Do I have to use neem oil? Cuz neem oil in my country are pretty expensive.
i have a whole video on my leaf cleaning solution! but unfortunately it does include neem oil lol. you don't have to use it but it's my preferred way.
