Casting Chris Pine as the young James T. Kirk was an inspirational choice! Could not have been anyone else. 👏 (not to mention, the entire cast was SPOT ON!)
Just got back from seeing it. I enjoyed it. It was a little odd but you just have to relax into it and go with the flow. I am not usually a fan of Annette Benning but I loved the energy between her and Danny Devito. There was a scene where DeVito and Pine are on a stake out in China Town and DeVito is telling a story and it was just so odd and random that all you could do is justsit there and blink but it was oddly relatable. The selling point for me was Ray WIse and he is brilliant. Absolutely loved him. and Mint Chip the lizard. The lizard was so adorable I swear it looked like it had rosy cheeks.
I love Chris Pine & always will but I do prefer him when he cuts his hair and shaves 😂Although I get it, he is being the antithesis to his amazing good looks. Interesting story, he auditioned for the part of Ryan in The OC & apparently wasn't cast because he had bad acne in his youth. Maybe gives some insight into his deep insecurity especially in his early career days.
It was the first movie where I saw him, I watched it because of Alan Rickman. Then I read that he will play Kirk in the reboot, and I have felt instantly optimistic about it.
Poolman last I checked was 17% fresh on rotten tomatoes & as a movie lover, I say that's not the worst..to get 50% is the worst. When you get 17% that means you moved folks in some way, maybe triggered emotions...and that's what movies/art is about. A strong negative reaction is a reaction... I love to watch movies on either end of Rotten Tomatoes...the high & the low scores...
*Looks like a forgettable film but **_always_** willing to support a Pine project. (And this comes from a viewer who **_somehow_** endured "Dungeons & Dragons.")* 👍
Takes an ordinary role, and makes it special. As a fellow southern californian, I can't WAIT for Pool Man.
Very humble for sure!
I dig Chris way more now, awesome story and wow I remember his dad from Chips!
I KNOW! His Dad was my fav!
What a marvelous actor like Chris Pine was!
Amazing that an introvert once played Captain James T. Kirk.
Chris Pine is just plain cool.
I like that he realizes how lucky he is ! And he gets to do what he truly loves doing

Good luck, Chris. Always elevate a film.
I first seen Chris Pine in the movie Unstoppable with Denzel Washington, he was really good in that role. Very handsome man.

A very cool guy.
He was seriously good in Outlaw King, too, including his Scottish accent....
He reminds me of a younger Kurt Russell.
I absolutely love him in Bottle Shock, and really root for him. I'm looking forward to seeing this.
he should do a re-boot of "CHiPs", he's about the same age now as his Dad when his Dad did "CHiPs"
I loved him in Just My Luck.
Very Cool 😎
What about his role in Bottle Shock ? Pretty laid back in that one…..

Para mim, o ator mais bonito de Hollywood
Id love to c him in macabre movie
What!????? They gave him only $65.000 ??? For a DISNEY movie????? The Princess Diaries??? They totally ripped him off!!!! 😵🤯
Those of us in Hollywood are NOT surprised by an amount like that from Disney.
❤️🔥
He's the best in horrible bosses 2
Cool jacket! Anyone knows what jacket it is?

Holy crap, his dad is the Chips guy??
SOUNDS LIKE A 👍 GREAT MOVIE 🎬 🎞!!! I'D DEFINITELY GO SEE IT AT THE MOVIES!!! ❤❤❤❤ VOTE TRUMP MAGA 2024!!! 😊
dude is 43 and looks 53
I love him, but that man desperately needs a significant other or stylist. What the f*^k is he wearing?!
He has a significant other but I guess that SO does not care how he looks
@@Marujita71 As it should be.
Chris should quit smoking. I can hear him forcing his voice. Poolman is part of his comedic face, like in "Smoking aces" and "Stretch".
Didn't know he was a smoker, some people have smoker voices but they are non-smokers like Awkwafina (Nora Lum)
The beard disguises his good looks.

Loved POOLMAN, like I love De Palma's BODY DOUBLE, or The Big Lebowski... It is a fun character study with the lovely L.A. backdrop
Bonza living the dream😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Im first😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pool Man is a complete flop! Too bad cause i really wanted him to be a success! 😮
