I like that there is a window in the dressing room, someone across the street will be very happy. Maybe there should also be a security camera in there so people don't steal any of the pants. Also, the SSP only concern themselves with old people, redheads and dog walkers sweat shops are fine, they keep those kids off the streets.
😳 The design of the "where are my pants" sign above the door is great! 👍 So is the design of the sewing machines. Where is the super secret police when you need them? And the pants-sign on the roof! 😂 So cool!
LOL This episode is like Happy Tree Friends, from totally being innocent to suddenly getting dark LOL. Art imitating life. I love the big 3D signs and the details you put in each floor. Maybe the changing room can be Vito's or famous fashion designer's office. Thank you so much for the collaboration and I will definitely keep you posted on possible future collabs. I also look forward to you making your new MOC modulars. Keep up the great work 😄
(12:30) On the street-level sign, if you rework it with part 99206 (or 4304) instead of the brackets, it wouldn't put as much stress on any of the pieces. (though it would stick out another stud)
Yeah, the pieces used in the video actually stick out ever so slightly against each other, so the method is illegal. It has nothing to do with what they are attached to. The super secret police are after you, Mr. Hood! As suggested, using part 99206 works fine. An even better alternative would be using two new 4585 pieces in opposite directions. That sign would then be one plate thinner.
Just wonderful. Maybe you could use the space in the kitchenware shop top floor to have the SSP listening through the wall ready to take down the sweatshop gang? Some novelty oversized headphones and listening devices ready for a sting operation!
Love so much about this. The exterior design is so good - many props to Kim for their wonderful work. Robin - your tweaks and additions are of course awesome, and the dark humor with the sweatshop is amusing. The 3D sign is both hilarious and a great design! It all looks perfect next to Assembly Square! Well done!
Selling custom stickers in your store would be cool. I'm sure others would like to have Brick Nottingham as a destination for their airports and train stations.
Fabulous build, you really need to do a scene in the dressing room which could be hilarious and maybe where the blond kid is working put a hole in the wall with one escaping through the kitchen ware shop would be funny or have one of the boy scouts infiltrate the sweat shop to try and take down the people incharge - something to think about Great collab would love to see more with other moc builders - could be cool, maybe with TheBrickinPanda who make some amazing buildings could be fab
12:00 that is quite interesting, I wonder if it has to do with the miniscule tolerance differences such as: why tiles can be placed upright between studs, but plates can't. My guess is that the tolerance of plates vs tiles is at play. If it's a known quantity, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be programmed (though I do have even more guesses!). The broad rim to the underside of the 2x2 bracket may have the same tolerance increase that tiles would have decreased. If it works on designer, but doesn't in real life, that means even LEGO's own CAD models are off in some way (which is no surprise - things like this have made their way into produced sets, which indicates they may never have been built with real parts). The above makes me really wish there was a very simple 1-2 page cheat sheet for lego math, all tolerance, SNOT, and wedge angle interactions included with simple examples. In a similar light, this is looking great, the depth of field / color comes out way more in the real model than a digital one. The pants change of flavor is perfect, and having only the legs be on display rather than a full mannequin is perfect lego goofiness.
Yay, thank you. Yes the parts go together fine on Studio, making it even more odd. Digital Design definitely makes all the different combinations easier to play around with and understand but a cheat sheet would be good!
That’s a great Modular MOC. I love a curved façade. I’ve just completed my very first Studio design, the Disney World train station Main Street, a near replica of which was built for the grand entrance for the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Australia. The latter is my home park, so that’s my inspiration.
A beautiful building, and I think it looks very good next to the Assembly Square. And who knows, maybe the SSP can crack down on that illegal sweatshop on the third floor sometime in the future.
Brilliant build, 👍😄 i would definitely love to have this build if i had the room. However i did enjoy watching you constructing the build in your own special way, excellent 👌🐱🐈👍
It does doesn't it. I'll have a reshuffle after getting Brick Cross Station in there. It's 1.5 baseplates wide annoyingly. Bookshop to the rescue maybe!
Love the build love the 3rd floor no bathroom forced labor lol, I was surprised you didn't put baby minis up there making pants lol You need a naked or pant less person trying to sneak up to the shop 😂
Ah, yes! Baby labor!! Maybe a person running into the store or down the street with a towel around their middle. This is too hilarious. I didn't remember at first that in the UK "pants" means underwear. In the US pants are outerwear. So, during this video I got The Joke. Very funny indeed.
This turned out amazing! Def. buying the instructions for this after I finish my current build! If this doesn't end up being the final spot, maybe put it right beside the police station so they could have the labor upstairs right under their noses and not even know it, lol!
The 3D sign is the perfect topper for a sweat shop. Love the build and its a great design that fits great next to the piano shop. really enjoyed the video.
Love the pant shop, I do like your 3d signs. While I was watching the placing at the end I wondered if the level crossing could be improved by turning round the far side barrier so the red and white stripes could be seen from the room. It seems a shame to waste them on the blank wall. Keep up the good work.
Great and funny modular build! 👍 The sections you have added have made this build into an awesome shop!! The 3D sign is very funny.😂 If the SSP are doing nothing about the kids sweat shop then what about the scouts? 😆 I think outside it could do with a funny scene like someone needing pants quickly - like the lady from your old beach? 🤔 JJ F
Beautiful build Robin! The original design was extremely well done and your additions added that Robin Hood Brick feel. Pretty sure you even have an advert for this store in your mall build. If you could figure out a way for some ingenious child to try and be alerting passersby to the sweat shop situation (a white flag out a window perhaps?) that could be clever. However, it is pretty impossible to earn a ba-doing for this one, as it is practically perfect in every way. Including giant underpants.
It looks excellent, Robin! Just a thought, maybe your train should make a brief stop there. The lads need to get to work somehow! They're just not old enough to drive yet. 😅
Haha, robin!!! you miss a chance to have an awesome scene!!! Why not have a woman getting a change in the changing room and then she is shock because there was a drone outside the window watching her 😂 (could have the drone attached on a clear bar from the flowise sign)
I thought for sure when you were setting up the sweatshop that when it panned to the actual set it was going to be Santa and his elves working the shop
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I was beating my head against the wall trying to figure out a 2 sided sign using the 4x4 "burgers" tile from 60404 and this was the answer I needed! Genius design THANK YOU!
@RobinHoodBricks now if i could figure out angled walls and doorways! You make it look so effortless. I've learned so much from your channel. Fast Food Corner had me hooked!
You need a scene of a kid escaping the top floor of the build, and they are getting chased by vitos own personal pet. The pet choice can be up to you, but whatever it is, I hope the kid who escaped is scared of it.
@RobinHoodBricks Just thought a large animal or something else would be different since that's something we haven't seen in your city yet. Large land Animal like the panther lego did a few years ago.
The bracket pieces for the double sided sign are not centered. So both the same direction will fit and even both going the opposite way (top to top) works but because of the miniscule offset you have the strain when you go back to back. I ran into a similar problem when trying to create a double sided sign for my Ghostbusters Headquarters since I didn't have the proper printed tile pieces. I used modified 1x1 plates 4081b and put trans red round plates to signify lights on the plate portion that sticks out. If you don't mind a thicker middle there are more options using 35480 plates with 78258 in the middle to hold them together.
Yeah, majority of snot bricks and brackets have this slight offset upward of their studs. One exception is 99206, which is actually offset in the other direction so that it can do this type of inversion. Which interestingly means it's minorly illegal to put regular snot bricks on top of them and try to connect the studs, same distance error as this bracket build has. I think it's better known that the holes in Technic beams are at a different height than snot bricks but once you really get into it this comes up. I believe it's 1/20th of a plate thickness.
That's brilliant! Both of the sales people have stripes on their shirts...is that a hint of the shady business upstairs? It would be funny if you placed the facade with the naked man escaping from the hungry husband near the "Where are my pants?" sign.
Those torso reminded me of the old Town lady and man who had adventures, as I recall them. Although thinking about it more, she actually had red polka dots!
Maybe turn the shelving unit with neatly folded pants 90 degrees so the colored pants might be seen through the window instead of the solid color of the shelving unit.
The SSP probably looks the other way in return for SSP branded pants from the child labor. And speaking of the SSP, you need to design and build an SSP recruiting office.
That is an awesome build Robin and design by Brick Artisan. The only addition I would make, is to have one last bit of foliage near the crown in between the two structures using that bare stud somehow. Would help conceal the the gaps from the plate connections on the side of the cookware store too.
Watching you build this is making me want to work on a moc idea I had… a more modern fire station. Maybe if it’s good enough and I can make good instructions a larger brick Nottingham needs a second fire station 🧐
How about adding the SSP on the roof of assembly square with one squad member abseiling down the next building looking for the sweat shop. So close but as usual failing miserably.
Love the creation, I know that you have been picking up the newspaper window panels in your brick hauls, maybe resize the windows to the smaller size that hold them, on the third floor so the public and the SSP can not observe the sweat shop in action. Also maybe a SSP office at the side taking a payoff to look the other way in terms of the sweatshop as well.
Robin, swimsuits, similar to underwear, you know. And your airport, will it have a roundabout road? q is the shape you will want. But if you leave it there, add walkway paths to the rail crossings. That parking garage, make it a facade in the background, that way you can turn the dept of it, into a lengthy one. The Tumbler needs a place to start it's roof hopping, to the highway.
You could buy it'd have the kitchenware shop every quarter or a double version every half. Brick Artisan had a picture of it side by side with another one for the almost semicircle!
Did you build a back wall for the Guarded Inn? We haven't seen that build again since you built it according to the published instructions. I'm interested as I have that set.
Maybe the tall shelf and the manikin display should be swapped so you can see a bit of the side of the shelf through the window. Where are my pants, a family company.
I think you should probably replace the railings on the top or middle floor stairwell with proper walls and a locked door, can't have the customers seeing the sweat shop, after all! EDIT: And actually install the trapdoor in the floor between the kitchen display and the storage room, don't want customers going in there either!
13:21 I have had the same issue, and it has been consistent when I try to put the parts on the underside of a variety of parts, so I don't think your piece is the issue. I am impressed with your clever solution, but I don't like the way it puts stress on the parts.
Only if it gets really cheap and not for certain even then. I didn't get the Sanctum one. However this one has cool figures so maybe I will, for the right price. I need a Gambit!
Although I do prefer the cleaner, more boring ,flat to the wall sign. The stickier out one could look even better if you could find the same parts in white, they could even persuade me!
"humorous sweatshop"... Brilliant. 😂
Only on RHB!
So is the design of the sewing machines. Where is the super secret police when you need them?
And the pants-sign on the roof! 😂 So cool!
So glad you liked all the amendments!
I've never imagined seeing two masters of the custom builds work together. The result is amazing!
Yes it was a fun collaboration!
Vito is kind of sweet for a guy who runs a sweat shop. I mean, he at least allows the kids to go to school.
I thought he stole them on their way to/back from school!
@RobinHoodBricks Geez, he really needs to change that school girl's uniform, then. I bet that thing reeks.
how about having a robin hood and some merry men on the roof of the pants shop staging a rescue of the kids? i think thatd be some good fun
Actually, it could be Indiana Jones and Short Round saving the kids....
You should your trams go through a building, with a stop inside😊
LOL This episode is like Happy Tree Friends, from totally being innocent to suddenly getting dark LOL. Art imitating life. I love the big 3D signs and the details you put in each floor. That would be cool but it implies they know what they're doing. Maybe it's the Boy Scouts!
Oh you do make me laugh 🤣 thank you Kim for gifting the instructions and for allowing Robin to put his stamp on it! Well done Robin 👏
I really enjoyed it. A great collaboration!
Dark humor and the use of a naughty word in the same video...think this has to be my favorite video now 😂
Fantastic build. And there is a window in the changing room?! That screams for a scene! :-)
Maybe a thief?
Binoculars or telescope across the street trained on that window. Oh, my!!!
Hahaha... boyscout's to the rescue? Again, a great collab guys that building is looking tight... pun intended!
you could always make it elves or fairies in the sweat shop, then you could have Santa staging a rescue from the roof... if you can make any space!
Santa can still rescue kids!
@@RobinHoodBricks Perhaps have Santa and his elves working together with rappelling gear and night vision goggles.
That pants sign is the best bit. I think I want to add a pants section to my multi floor grand emporium .
Haha, I had a quick design for the idea straight after having it and it looked so good I had the order done immediately after that!
That's quite the wicked mind you've got.
Then again, having kids work their fingers to the bone is in the best British tradition, so carry on!
Love so much about this. The exterior design is so good - many props to Kim for their wonderful work. can you build more shop, bussiness facilities into your huge Lego City Layout please
That's the plan. It's a slow start to make sure everything is right but then it should speed up. Brick Cross Station, the new Botanical Gardens etc!
12:00 that is quite interesting, I wonder if it has to do with the miniscule tolerance differences such as: why tiles can be placed upright between studs, but plates can't.

"Crowning Glory" indeed Robin. It is very nice seeing you build at this level again.
Now it's a landmark!
Robin, that was a very smart sign build!!!
Love the end result. One of my favorite 3D signs you've done yet 😂
Haha mine too. I'd have never guessed I'd have big pants as a sign!
That’s a great Modular MOC. I love a curved façade. I’ve just completed my very first Studio design, the Disney World train station Main Street, a near replica of which was built for the grand entrance for the Dreamworld theme park on the Gold Coast, Australia. Very cool. How did you find it? I find Studio hard work so use LDD whenever possible. I'm just quicker with it!
Three brilliant ideas, first the Marquis sign design and second the child sweat shop third that 3D sign!!!! 🤣😂😅
Haha, yes indeed. The three best bits!
A beautiful building, and I think it looks very good next to the Assembly Square. And who knows, maybe the SSP can crack down on that illegal sweatshop on the third floor sometime in the future.
a mirror sticker in the dressing room? :D
What a beautiful end result!!! And so much funny scenes!!! Only those kids... Well, it fits your humour 😅
Glad you enjoyed it. The kids scene is dark but as it's only LEGO we can laugh!
Brilliant build, 👍😄 i would definitely love to have this build if i had the room. However i did enjoy watching you constructing the build in your own special way, excellent 👌🐱🐈👍
Glad you enjoyed it. I did too!
This looks so good next to Assembly Square! I hope you can find a great spot for them both in Brick Nottingham 2.0 😁
It does doesn't it. I'll have a reshuffle after getting Brick Cross Station in there. It's 1.5 baseplates wide annoyingly. Bookshop to the rescue maybe!
Love the build love the 3rd floor no bathroom forced labor lol, I was surprised you didn't put baby minis up there making pants lol

the only "fun sweatshop" i can think of would be elves with a mean Santa overlooking :)
Weirdly I find that one less fun. What that says about me I don't know. I guess I don't like the idea of a mean Santa!
The 3D sign is the perfect topper for a sweat shop. Love the build and its a great design that fits great next to the piano shop. really enjoyed the video.
Great to hear. A lot of effort on that one so it's appreciated!
Love the pant shop, I do like your 3d signs. I have a big bag of them but it would work if the near side looked double sided too!
Great and funny modular build! 👍
The sections you have added have made this build into an awesome shop!!
The 3D sign is very funny.😂
If the SSP are doing nothing about the kids sweat shop then what about the scouts? 😆
I think outside it could do with a funny scene like someone needing pants quickly - like the lady from your old beach? 🤔

you could also add an alien with the kids in the sweat shop, to give yet another reason for the aliens to attack the city
I should do an alien child with short legs, haha!
I loooove your ideas! the kids working and the 3D signs! well done!!!
Thanks so much. It's appreciated!
Robin, you´re amazing. Thank you for the much needed laugh! Also: Cudos to Kim!
You are so welcome. Thanks for the lovely comment!
Awesome build Robin, your 3D sign really makes it pop!
It does. Thanks so much!
Love thos window on 2 nd level kim s dun a great job on it i seen his post. Befor he sent you the instruction s 😊
Yes, they're great!
Beautiful build Robin! The original design was extremely well done and your additions added that Robin Hood Brick feel. Pretty sure you even have an advert for this store in your mall build. Fantastic video sir
So nice of you. Thanks!
It looks excellent, Robin! Just a thought, maybe your train should make a brief stop there. The lads need to get to work somehow! They're just not old enough to drive yet. 😅
"Brief"
Pun?
i love the 3d sign and the sweatshop on the third floor.
Yay, fantastic!
Love the sewing machines!
Haha, robin!!! you miss a chance to have an awesome scene!!! Why not have a woman getting a change in the changing room and then she is shock because there was a drone outside the window watching her 😂 (could have the drone attached on a clear bar from the flowise sign)
Maybe replace some white bricks in the 3D sign with sundamaged ones ?
I'd have to deliberately sun damage them!
@Robinhood Bricks love the where are my pants store. I will be buy this store and hopefully doing your changes to it. Keep up the great work.
Awesome. Thank you. Pictures via email please when you do!
Brick Nottingham stuck in the medieval ages with the sourcing of the pants lmao
Got to be the most pants video youve done so far robin 😂😂
So true!
Vito looks just like Vincent Vega (John Travolta) from Pulp Fiction!
He's arguably too fantastic to be left inside. He needs to get down to Jack Rabbit Slims!
I thought for sure when you were setting up the sweatshop that when it panned to the actual set it was going to be Santa and his elves working the shop
That's not evil enough. And it's not the North Pole!
@RobinHoodBricks oh yeah. I thought you were setting it up to sound evil and whatnot to throw us off but then pull a switcheroo
You need Captain Underpants!!
I have the Condiment King. He has pants on his suit if I remember rightly!
Where do you think the SSP get their uniform pants? They won't shut down the sweat shop!
Love your content. Your channel is an inspiration, if I ever find enough space to build my own city 😋
Bless you. Best of luck with that!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I was beating my head against the wall trying to figure out a 2 sided sign using the 4x4 "burgers" tile from 60404 and this was the answer I needed! Genius design THANK YOU!
Glad I could help. Weird that this sort of thing isn't easier isn't it, haha!
This scene is getting darker and darker, haha!
@RobinHoodBricks Just thought a large animal or something else would be different since that's something we haven't seen in your city yet. Large land Animal like the panther lego did a few years ago.
i love it!
Yay, winner!
BOOHOO moved there sweat shops from Brick Leicester to Brick Nottingham 😂😂
Very topical, haha!
I agree with you about creating more MOC modular buildings. The videos I enjoy the most have been your MOC buildings.
It would be funny if you placed the facade with the naked man escaping from the hungry husband near the "Where are my pants?" sign.
...angry, not hungry, sorry!😅
Those torso reminded me of the old Town lady and man who had adventures, as I recall them. Although thinking about it more, she actually had red polka dots!
Maybe turn the shelving unit with neatly folded pants 90 degrees so the colored pants might be seen through the window instead of the solid color of the shelving unit.
The SSP probably looks the other way in return for SSP branded pants from the child labor. And speaking of the SSP, you need to design and build an SSP recruiting office.
I like this idea. It'll be great for when an appropriately sized gap presents itself!
That is an awesome build Robin and design by Brick Artisan. The only addition I would make, is to have one last bit of foliage near the crown in between the two structures using that bare stud somehow. Would help conceal the the gaps from the plate connections on the side of the cookware store too.
maybe on the 3D sign you could have them overlap a bit one slightly in front of the other?
That might be good in theory but they're a brick thick so it might look odd. I can check!
The Where are my pants minifig should be coming out of the dressing room
Really a wonderfull design and mod. And I think it got already a very good spot
You should have one of Vito’s assistants paying off an ssp somewhere on the stairs or outside or on the roof
Love how you made the dubble sided sign .would love to get what all thos parts are you yoused .can you post a pic or vid of the parts. Pleas robin 😊
Maybe you could also have someone in the changing room? Looks good 😊
Great build,
no need for a changing room.🤔
one size fits all 😂😅😅
If that double sided sign doesn't last due to strain, there is an option of putting the where are my pants sticker on an inverted tile
It's fine when it's together but that's even easier, yes. I did that recently with something else. I forget where now!
What an absolutely beautiful build!
Love the *cough* child labour *cough* 😂
A very RobinHoodBricks amendment.
Looks fabulous in the city
Haha it is. I wonder if I'll go too far one day. Forgive me when I do!
@ it depends on whats ‘too far’!
Is the shopkeeper showing off his pants too?
Robin, swimsuits, similar to underwear, you know.
And your airport, will it have a roundabout road?
q is the shape you will want.
But if you leave it there, add walkway paths to the rail crossings.
That parking garage, make it a facade in the background, that way you can turn the dept of it, into a lengthy one.
The Tumbler needs a place to start it's roof hopping, to the highway.
You should put Spongebob in the changing room as a callback to the episode “the fool who ripped his pants”
I have never seen SpongeBob!
@@RobinHoodBricksfor your American fans, it would be a funny nod…and a wacky way to include Lego SpongeBob in the city
Is it possible to put 2 of these sets together to make a semi circle shop, or dare I say 4 for a big rotunda?
In a previous video he showed that this design is a mirrored version of another building, making a semi-circle.
You could buy it'd have the kitchenware shop every quarter or a double version every half. Brick Artisan had a picture of it side by side with another one for the almost semicircle!
It would be funny if on the roof there is a ssp stake out for other "baddies". While being completely oblivious.
Did you build a back wall for the Guarded Inn? We haven't seen that build again since you built it according to the published instructions. I'm interested as I have that set.
Such fun!
Maybe the tall shelf and the manikin display should be swapped so you can see a bit of the side of the shelf through the window. Where are my pants, a family company.
Also, if you add another floor, it should be bunk beds for the child labor
Haha, good idea. Yes it could take another floor. I'll see what it all looks like with the Brick Cross Station first. That'll be next month!
It's not much stress and it works in Studio. That's why it's confusing me!
"why not have Child Labour?" -Robin, 2024 🤣
We need a Robin book of quotes!
Honey...? Where are my _paaaaaaaants_ ???
Wherever you left them!
Are you going to buy the X-Men Mansion and getting rid of all the Marvel elements like you did to the Daily Bugle
Only if it gets really cheap and not for certain even then. I didn't get the Sanctum one. However this one has cool figures so maybe I will, for the right price. I need a Gambit!
SSP officer in the change room, oblivious to the illegal sweatshop above.
May be you could find a way to have a little member of the super secret police under cover as a child working in the sewing room lol 😂
What you should do is an SSP speed camera van so it seems like they are more bothered about speeding than child labour
Great job
Although I do prefer the cleaner, more boring ,flat to the wall sign. The stickier out one could look even better if you could find the same parts in white, they could even persuade me!
Am I the only one who wants him to swap out the men's pants with yellowed white parts?😂
Tessellated Robin ??? 😮
My vocabulary is voluminous, nay plethoric!
@ oh you sesquipedalian ! 😂
