I also use this lens with my 1D-X Mark II, but also with my new R7, and it works perfectly with the adapter, i think even a bit sharper then with the 1D-X Mark II, the reach on the R7 is max 640mm !, i'm pleased with both camera and lens combinations. 🍻

I have this lens and the 1.4x that I use for 560mm which is a great combination and very tempted to buy a 500mm f4 ver 1 as you have both in your opinion is the 500 worth buying as I'm tempted because of the f4 but also if using the 1.4x 700mm f5.6.

The 500 f4 is an amazing lens tbh, I do use it most the time with the 1.4x on now as I have the 200-400mm too. Its a very heavy lens, But if your happy to deal with that is so sharp! and the prices keep coming down at the moment
