It's April 5,2022. I watch every video I see here in Conowingo Maryland, USA. Do you have any plans, or would you consider bringing your traveling road show across the pond? Thanks for a great lesson.
Love your videos. Recently getting back into wood turning at 60. Actually an amateur engineer for most of the 60 ;-) Off topic question ... I have a source of beech. It's quite regular and tight grained. The best finish I got was was with french polish, shellac, tried Danish and linseed. Very little effort to get a glassy finish with the french. I wondered if you had any recommendations to bring up the grain on beech which is lovely to turn but ends up rather plain looking?
Hi black5f, the following reply is from Colwin - "Finishing Oil will bring out the grain really well, and a gloss finish can be achieved if you apply several coats, leaving 24 hours between them." 😊
Great piece of wood shown off by excellent turning, well done
Thank you very much! What lovely feedback 😊
Excellent video as always, lots of good tips
A perfect demo as always eoghan .

beautiful piece of Elm wish I could get some and as usual you give sound advice to the new turners.

@@axminster Brilliant, thank Colwin for me, sorry to be a pain but this is the Liberon? Many thanks in advance.
