Good vid. The CR 90 is a classic. As far as the aft firing arc, the main guns can get about 15-20 degrees off rear axis which isn't bad. Also, with 11 ion engines running, who'd wanna get to close to the aft of that thing?
@@ds6080 True, but you will note the Devastator came in above and behind the Corvette. The Tantive was shooting back at the Devastator so the SD was not just behind it.
Farstar wasn't built with hanger capacity. She was modified to carry fighters long after she was built. Night Caller/Ession Strike and Constrictor from the Wraith Squadron novels were CR-90s built with fighter hangers though
An early chapter from A Certain Point of View for A New Hope detailed how the damage to the ship's engines allowed the Empire to track the Tantive IV to Tatooine through hyperspace and catch up with them.
Rebel Ship name-wise it would depend on the ship but if I was going with a YT freighter it would be The Pulsar Puck (as in the mischievous spirit) or if it was a starfighter (I like the idea of a modified Belbullab 22/24) I'd go with The Merlin both as the raptor name but also so for the British mythos
Just a thought for some more episodes talking about the scarcely seen ships through the any of the sci-fi series like Stargates the Needle Threader ( Teal'c and Hammond), Ori fighter dropping Ring transporter, Vanir ship ( Pegasus galaxy Asgard), any other Alien/bounty hunter type ships
I think later we could explore more Legends, just I think it can get a bit confusing for those who are not fully “in the know” with Star Wars, if that makes sense?
Such a good looking design! But I would not be associated with such scum! But if I had to choose a name it would either be Canon Fodder or the Invincible depending upon the story requirements
This is my favorite Star Wars ship, my favorite version is the Pocket Carrier version that can carry a squadron of starfighters !
The Farstar and Nightcaller

@@codycroft6311 Devastator comes to mind
Imagine if the engines could concentrate all the thrust to a single point in rear , anything behind honking would be toast

in "legends" there was a version of the CR90 that was built with a pair of hanger bays called the "Far Star"

I remember in a Star Wars campaign the the ship that I was a part of was called the Wookies paw

That was fun!
Hmmm... Could have sworn the Corvette used by Bail during the end of the Clone Wars would be the Tantive III.

Thanks! Certainly want to explore some more of those "obscure" Stargate ships!
I don’t understand why many content creators don’t Use Legends lore in such videos , like the Far star , Night caller etc

Rebel ship name: Decade Chicken
I would call mine the warhowl😊
My ship would be "the dropped coin"
Freedom's Dagger
I would name A CR-90 Freedom Runner or Star Dance. What do you think of my names?
If I were to name any ship in the SW universe, I would call teh CR-90 the Valkyrie. To me it seems oddly fitting.
If I was to name any starship and give it a name, I would choose one or two eithier light of the comet or light of the Jedi
My rebel Starship would be named the enterprise because why i have not..
