Really gorgeous views. Reminds me of the beaches of St. Thomas, although there you have to watch out for black sea urchins that are sometimes on the bottom where you walk out in the water. Moving travelogues are always popular. There are a lot of them with people driving or walking along since TH-cam goes worldwide and people are always interested in areas they haven't seen. 😁
Loved watching your beach walk. We enjoy watching all your videos. We’ve been to Isla 15x in 6 years. We love it as much as y’all. If we aren’t there we are watching You Tube of others there lol... We are heading back to Mexico 9/14-9/22. We’re staying in Bacalar and Tulum first though before we end up there that weekend. Would love to meet up with you guys there sometime. We go 3x a year- if we could work it out to be there the same time we would have a blast! We love meeting with and hanging out with cool people while we are there. We stay at Mia Reef. Love it. Super friendly staff. Buffet is good. Villias with balcony right over the water. We wer there Feb'21 and May '21 going back in Sepember'21
Walked the same route from the same hotel having been to the island 5 times already although it takes a toll on you especially when flying from Amsterdam.its the most amazing place I've been and found on my travels,it's my ZEN place a place where all my demons and stress disappear I guess it must be the beauty and the ora of this island amazing

I stayed in the very last villa at the end of the Island at Mia. I loved the location and snorkeling but the resort wasn't great. We were supposed to have a room with 2 beds. My son ended up having to sleep on a cot. The food wasn't great and the service at the swim up bar sucked. Our shower smelled like sewer very bad. There was another problem with the room, maintenance had to come out twice. It's like the Holiday inn of AI. The service on the beach by the shrimp shack was fantastic however for drinks. They advertise that snorkle gear is included at the resort but every time I asked for equipment they said they needed it all for a "class". I think its probably better to stay somewhere cheaper.
Keep in mind you were in a building on the end of a limestone rock in the middle of the sea. You won"t get the city water and luxury we are used to. the water smells like sulfur and the humidity beats the air conditioners to death. We have never stayed at Mia because we consistently hear its over rated, out dated and over priced.
@SchmoopsAdventures the water was the smallest of problems to us but I definitely know people that wouldn't be happy walking around smelling like a fart all week🤣 but when you pay 4k for a week you expect a bed for all your guests ya know? Like I said great location but the money would be better spent on food in town and a cheaper hotel or airbnb. I'd like to check out Guru or maybe stay at the other end next time. My friends stayed at the Shell house last summer. That was pretty neat.
Appreciate your videos, planning a trip for 2 weeks to Isla in January /February. Last time I was in Cancun was in April years ago and was so humid like a punch in the face. How is it there now, brutal?
I’m not gonna lie it’s pretty hot and humid but as long as you stay hydrated and take advantage of the pools and beautiful blue water it’s very comfortable
