Hello I am just starting out and so I have been using my inkjet printer on to vinyl and then i laminate and then i stick to 30 mil magnet. I have a cricut so I then run it through my cricut to get custom made magnets. Slow process, expensive process and time consuming. Is there a commercial grade print cut machine that would allow me to print direct onto magnet then laminate and then cut for me? I have not seen the roland do it...so am not sure if this is possible or wise. The machines are expensive so i don't wanna screw it up if i buy one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
if no mechanical damages occur they can last a year or two depending on the UV exposure, also thru carwash (pressure wash) no problem, mine last a long time w/o lamination, but for serious projects I recommend using it since it helps the vinyl to be more sturdy while applying plus gives it the extra long life +7 yrs
Hey boss love the video, but I would like to start a small business here I cypress Texas, is there a small printer I could buy and is the name and where can I buy one?
I believe Roland offers a smaller version. Other brands include mutoh or hp. We purchased ours from a distributor called Tubelite. Not sure if they are in Texas but try googling it.
@@lalo19851 We are printing on 20mil from Magnum and the print heads are dragging on the edges no matter how high we set the print head height. Any suggestions?
That was helpful, thanks, the cardboard worked great. I ran it with the heater low, but that was a problem as the magnet sheet warped after preheating and nearly messed up my printer. :( But I made it work with PRINT heat off and DRY heat on a lower setting. Also, If I run it slower, it may cover better. BTW I used a Avery Dimension MPI 3300Series Economy Gloss Profile, that seemed nice, as it covers Glossy vinyl well too.
Hi, how are you? I have a lot of doubts, I am starting in the middle of the publisher and I would like to ask you if you can help me with some meters of advertising material such as canvases, paper for business cards, vinyl, and paper brochures, I live in Vallejo ca. Thank you
Very helpful.. thanks Eduardo!
That's a good idea, it will save me steps! I will try with your suggestions! Cheers from TO
Nice tip that cardboard. Thank you so much!
Ok thanks I appreciate the reply 👍
Are you using a versacamm? I read in the product literature where its not for use with the versacamm as it wont fit under the print head?
sskeetr1 yes, it's a Versacamm. make sure your head setting is set to high. Also, the thickest we have printed is 30mil magnet, and that's run OK.
Eduardo Felix cool. Thanks for the quick reply. I will do it as you recommend and show in the video. Thank you
Is this material suitable for bathroom wall ?
I’m getting tiny lines - any advice ?
what brand of magnetic media?
Magnum
I wonder, could I contour cut magnetic material? I had considered attempting like 145g pressure, 2-3 passes to see what happens?
I've never tried it, but just from manually cutting magnetic blanks, I know it's a heavy material to cut through, and frankly, I wouldn't risk it.
What do you use to cut the magnet, just a straight edge and a blade?

Have you tried on id cards boards? I think it's the 1mm pvc board.
How is the roland ecosol ink on vinyl in outdoor weather without lamination?

We are printing onto 15mil magnetic as well with our Roland. What heat settings are you using?
Jason Thomas we're printing on 30-mil, and are using the default printer settings
