    Hi Stacy, so glad to see you! This is a super project. Thank you so much. I hope to see you at Tish's again soon...maybe on Artapalooza?....or maybe on Heather Mader's Friday night live at 5pm (west coast time). I miss you! Big hugs ~Cheryl

      Thank you, Elisa, for pointing out my error. Elisa, please accept my apologies for typing the wrong name! I really DO know the difference between you two lovely ladies. And I DID mean you and not Stacy. While I watched your video, I realized that I had not seen Stacy in a quite a while, so I wrote a note to myself to follow up because I've not been getting all my YT notifications (really irritating!). I accidentally typed her name instead of yours. I DO apologize, Elisa!!! And I do hope to see you, Elisa, at Artapalooza or on another live (Heather Mader or ???). You have a fabulous sense of humor as well as being a gifted artist (I watch most of your videos even though I don't work with resin)!
      Bottom line is that I miss you 🤗🙂. Happy Wednesday! oxox

      Aw thanks Cheryl, you’re too sweet! No worries about the name, I get it! Not sure when I’ll be on another live, as I have been taking advantage of the longer days and time at home as much as I can with things around the house and learning new things! It’s on my mind though! Thanks for watching my videos! 😘😊

    Thank you for sharing this! How did you deal with the curl on the magnets? I have been trying to adhere the magnets to the chip board and it starts to curl immediately and pulls away from the chip board.

      You need to weight it down for it to stay flat while drying. You can see in the video at 3:27 that I put it under a tile and put a bottle of alcohol on top for extra weight. You can also roll the magnet sheet the opposite way to help flatten it a bit first.

    Did i miss the magnet backing? Ok, photo on the magnet then the chip board. Does it hold strong enough? Thank you.

    • @JOTZdesigns
      @JOTZdesigns  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This holds very well. I like having the ribbon tab to help remove it from the refrigerator if I want to move it, but that’s not required, of course. The photo goes on the chip board, then that goes on the magnet (white side of what I used). Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! 🧡😊

  • @ArtisticallyRandom

    Elisa, this is a great idea! Do you know if there are different strengths of magnets? Well, I mean technically I know there are lol but are the ones in the rolls available in stronger types? I would look myself, but I'm not sure what to even search. Do you know if it would be similar to paper? Like 12 point vs 24 point etc...

    • @JOTZdesigns
      @JOTZdesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks Tina! I really do not know how to tell the strength of a sheet magnet. My GUESS is the thicker it is the stronger it will be?? I just got my roll on Amazon, and it’s 30mil (.03” thick). I’ve seen others that are 20mil, and I’d guess those aren’t as strong.

  • @Will-fi9xv
    @Will-fi9xv 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Okay so I am looking at doing this with my engagement photos to put on my work toolbox, do you think if I got a thicker magnet underneath it I should put like a plastic wrap over top of the picture itself so it doesn't get covered in brake dust and corrosion and ruin it?

    • @JOTZdesigns
      @JOTZdesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d cover the image in resin to protect them, personally. Then window cleaner to clean the resin, and if ever needed the resin can be sanded and a new layer put on, or it be polished up. I would just recommend testing on another picture first to make sure the paper options you chose do not bleed/warp with the resin, or if you need to seal them with something like a clear coat of Kamar clear coat first. I would also recommend metallic paper, like I used in the video, over a glossy or any other kind of finish.
      Thanks for watching! 😊

    Do these magnets stick on stainless steel fridges?

    • @JOTZdesigns
      @JOTZdesigns  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not all stainless steel refrigerators will hold standard magnets. These work just fine on mine, but would not work on a friend’s (at least not the front, the sides of her fridge holds magnets just fine). So it really depend on the refrigerator itself. Thanks for watching!
