“Is this the new thing? No longer spending 100 dollars on a keyboard?” Me who spent over 200 dollars already on switches and my key caps for my custom keyboard: *laughs nervously*
Love these types of videos keep up the work. I bought my keyboard from eBay for $25.99, it's fully mechanical, 104 keys, and tons of RGB effects. (Ombar k676 RGB) the switches are also cherry mx blues. 10/10
There are a lot of Chinese branded Oetemu mechanical keyboards on Amazon that go for cheap. I personally bought a Velocifire full size keyboard with browns for about $50 and it's been working well for 7 months so far, and it's also heavy like the Apecha was. Red Dragon seems to be the most bought Chinese brand so you can't go wrong with them.
I've been using the Acepha keyboard for about 3 years now. It honestly bought it because i was looking for a mechanical keyboard and i thought the RGB-Overload was hilarious (still think it is, plus you can switch it anytime off no problem). It cost me decent bit more than what is mentioned in the video, but it still was relatively cheap and turns out that for my taste the keys are a lot better than many of expensive ($100+) mechanical keyboards i tested in stores. And to this day its still running strong, no broken keys or lighting no paint coming off, so in hindsight i think it was really worth its money. You can customize the lighting to a certain degree (highlighting certain key's or preprogrammed patterns), but if custom programming is something you're looking for you maybe should consider something else.
on the acepha website. they list it for 37.99 usd. so i guess they made a mistake of pricing these on amazon. that's why they took the item down on there.
those are the newer outemu blues in the mech keyboard. Some of the people in the mech keyboard reddit say they actually prefer outemu blue over cherry mx blue, but I haven't tried both yet so I don't know. The hot swap used in the outemu boards only work with outemu because of the tight fit and most other manufacturers using thicker solder pins so they don't fit.
Cherry switches are like standard for comparing, there are many "blue" variants of other switches, like Kaihl, Romer G, GX, Outemu etc. or even keyboard manufacturer specific like these are probably.
I like these guys because they don’t have super high standards so all there top 10’s and 5’s and 15’s and shit really fit what I can afford and would enjoy
In my country (middle Europe), there is another keyboard: CZC Crusader GK800 -it's mechanical (outemu red, 50M durability) -has full RGB -is made from aluminium -costs around 20-25$ -has Nkey rollover -has 'cooling pad' (normally the 'hand mat', is plastic, but this one is from aluminium) -has the layout for my country -has numeric part In my opinion, this one is great, but there is a disadvantage: it's available in only one store. Also, people say that the software for RGB lights is bad, but I don't think it is.

The history of my keyboards went from an old dell keyboard,to a Logitech g203 prodigy, to an ajazz ak33, and just today I ordered a massdrop alt at $200

Can you plz make a Best 60% Keyboards Under $50 or just Best Keyboards Under $50, and bye I saw you guys had the E-Element Z-88 I don’t know if I should get that or the Tecware Phantom
Although the acepha looks like a great option as it is mechanical, has rgb, and is hot swappable it really isn’t. The reason I say this is because any hot swappable keyboard usually has a lot of problems recognizing a keystroke when someone is inputing keystrokes either very fast or many at once. A good cheap mechanical keyboard that I would recommend would be the Ajazz AK33 although it is around 50 bucks it comes with some great rgb settings and you can buy it in either blue or black gateron switches.
That last keyboard is pretty sick. I'm pretty sure those are Outemu Blues. They're one of the switch manufacturers that have started making them with those sliders. The hotswap sockets look like the same kind of Outemu-exclusive ones that show up on some Redragon models. You COULD fit any switch onto it, but they're designed for Outemu only and you'd need to file down the contact pins a bit to make them fit. Luckily, Outemu actually makes two switch types that are actually not clones and worth buying: Outemu Ice and Sky. The Skies are one of my favorite switches of all. With this board, sure, you're not getting metal construction or good keycaps (or taste tbh), but it's such a stupid value. If you wanted to dip your toes into customization, you could get some decent Tai-Hao caps, some Ice or Sky switches, and then mask off the key sockets and spray paint the board to something nicer looking. The cool thing is you don't even need to change the switches: Outemu switches aren't Gateron or Kailh BOX quality, but their Blues are perfectly fine for beginners. It's crazy.
The switches on the mechanical are the dust-resistant version of the Outemu Blue switch. I have some in one of my keyboards but my daily driver is an IBM Model M. Can't beat those buckling springs.
