From classic top 5 Gaming Mechanical Keyboards to litteral complete guide about differents part of a mech Keyboard, introducing to customising it and differents switches styles lmao! Fantastic video
This channel is seriously underrated. Not only did you give great recommendations, you also taught me lots i didn't know about keyboards! I'm so hyped rn
When you were showing the bad stabs, you were hitting very fast and I think that in the case of some of the keyboards you said had "good" stabs would sound just as bad if you did the same frenetic hammering on them. Also,I think that it's funny that you're saying that 1800 is "somewhat rare" where in the custom keyboard market, it's more likely to find an 1800 than a Full. In the budget market, which I believe is the sub-100 dollar market) I think that you really need to bring out the Yunzi AL71, an aluminum keyboards for 90 dollars and you can usually get that on sale. And then for a little more, but still budget, you can get the Chilkey ND75, 99 dollars for a aluminum fully built keyboard, it's easily mod-able with the ball/catch opening and the magnetic pogo connector, not to mention a screen. And as a sister company of Meletrix, it's very high quallity. Not on Amazon, but most of the best keyboards and deal aren't.
I agree with everything you said! For all the keyboard recommendations in this video, I get a ton of first time keyboard buyers and very few want to spend over $80, so we capped it there. I have featured the other keyboard you mentioned though in other videos. As far as 1800, it’s exactly as you say, in “custom keyboard market” it’s not rare, however this video is very much to educate a beginner that isn’t aware of this market or really knows very little overall!
i build my keyboard for lessthan 60$ i think and comment if you like to hear and see what to built. By the way that 60 dollars includes paint i used because i customized the case
Well to be fair, clicky switches actually have a 2 piece stem design that makes it “click.” This inherently makes it significantly harder to make a refined key press, both sound (albeit subjective) and feel. To go further with this, because clicky switches are not popular among enthusiasts there’s very few higher quality clicky switches. So all in all, MOST of the time clicky has a smaller use case due to loudness, worse feel, less overall choice, and inability to really lubricate it as much as a linear, thus limiting further modability. For those reasons I really just don’t recommend beginners to the space to get them. However, the only thing that really matters is your opinion for your own keyboard, I made this video as a guide to people that don’t already have their opinion or knowledge yet.
I think it's because most people find clicky very noisy and in reality most linears are also loud ... I always recommend a cheap set of Outemu silent linears or Outemu silent tactiles asap as a starting point.
I bought the Tecware Phantom+. The red wraith stock switches just aren’t fast enough for me. I want to get Cherry Speed Silver but on the amazon link for the keyboard it says only compatible with wraith switches so i’m a bit confused. Can i use cherry speed silver since they are both 3 pin or does it need to be wraith. I know basically nothing about keyboard so some insight would be helpful. Thanks.
I've been using phantom for 6 years and I hardly have any complaints whatsoever. It's durable, feel free to rage quit all you want and you can always buy the keycaps for cheap so there's that. I also have a Corsair K70 with cherry MX speed on my other pc, but always find myself using the phantom more when it comes to gaming. But if you have the money, def get the k70 because its STUNNING AF!
Hey Consumer TR, been a bit since I've seen your last video, and just wanted to say it's nice watching your vids again, just a suggestion, but I've seen a lot of good budget boards on Aliexpress recently, boards with alu case and prelubed stabs etc. I think it'll make a good top 10 budget keyboards if you are interested.
honestly, i'd just recommend getting a GMK67 or GMK81 barebones kit for like 30 ish bucks, then get some akko (i'd recommend cream yellow or lavender pro) or MMD princess switches for like 20 and rip off GMK keycaps for another 10, and you'll have a really nice customisable keyboard that sounds amazing, and if u want you can tape mod and holee mod to make it sound clackier or thockier
@@Joseph05227 for akko and the mmd princess? yea they do come pre lubed, but if ur tryna go for a quieter key sound, i would go for the akkos, significantly quieter imo

You always do a great job with your ¨top 5¨ videos. They are always informative and your choice of products you showcase is always on point IMO. So yes, keep making them for other products as well. Nice looking set also. Keep up the good work!
What’s your thoughts on the Wormier gaming keyboards? I bought the S - K71 and man is it lovely all the way around. Would definitely like your thoughts about that Wormier keyboards. Great content, keep up the good work.
is the ajazz ak820 a good choicr or nah? question: i do wanna buy the phantom but a lot of ppl have the exact same prob and im worried i get it too should i still buy the keyboard
I recommend to those that consider using clicky switches, just don't bring it to your workplace or any places that will disturb other people, I have experienced where people at my place actually complain, and I don't like disturb them. I have 2 keyboard where 1 is for office purpose and the switches is Milky Gateron Yellow Pro so it not as clicky and disturb other people as the blue switches, and another keyboard at home where I can customize to any switches I want even blue.
Hi! I know this isn’t related to the video, but I’m thinking about buying the AOC 25G3ZM/BK gaming monitor. I can get one for 122$, is it a good deal? Should I get something else for about the same price?
this video is amazingly done. One question though, are those cables you used with the keyboards in the video seperate? And if so, which ones did you use?
One of my favorite switches are the Redragon bullet a tactile s. I think it’s just a rebrand of outemu red pandas (at least that’s what I heard) great work as always Los!
last week i bought a redragon k632 pro mini, i do not like red switches. im so used to typing on laptops where i feel some type of click. wish i got browns or silver. but u inspired me to get a setup so u teaching is really good bc idk sht.
Another W Content from the King, you may not know this but you have helped me a lot on deciding on my mouse(fantech aria), keyboard(Aula f77) and iem(Castor) and ever since then they have been my favourite. If you guys are finding some gear check on his channel i tell you this guy never miss.
if this is budget then I'm homeless.
bro this shi aint budget 💀
You can’t drop $40 on the first one I don’t think you should have a computer.
What'd you spend on ur gaming pc I'm looking to buy one n dno what to spend
@@reissmain6573 a full setup + pc will cost like $1000 but if you go full budget you can get it for like $600
@@SuperAnge911 found a build for 1100, decided to save up n go with it because it looks great
The first 5 mins can be a standalone vid. But I understand why putting them in here instead is better for the channel's sake.

also thanks for the info about Akko! today I learned
Great video as always I’ve been missing the mech keyboard vids but these set up vids are also massive helps
Love the new setup and video style man. Very informative and entertaining. Makes deciding on which product to go with much easier for people like me!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!!
Why all keyboard reviewers are lowkey brainwash about clicky switches? Its always about the feel (pressing the switch). Sounds wont make you good.

If I play on 60 fps, is it worth it to get a $25 or $45 keyboard?

Ive had a clicky gaming keyboard for 2 years.. trust me when i say this. It drowns out after the first week. (Still wanna replace it though)
