    • @BenMartinStudios
      @BenMartinStudios 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I completed this mission and had all cores in 1508 by strategically assisting the mingsplosion without coring anything except a few provinces in Northern China. You want to completely wreck ming in the first war so that as many rebels pop as possible, then cycle between attacking a tributary to reset the truce timer to 5 years and conquering from ming again - keep as many tributaries around to make this easy, as ming will white peace on day 1 due to mandate being threatened, and give all conquered land to a vassal(s) which can be integrated instantly & for free when you get cores. There are a couple of provinces in the south/west that you have to return to other nations (i.e. Kham), and you have to ensure you can occupy 25 provinces & devastate a 25 dev city in Northern China for the missions, but otherwise it's easy

      Yeah. They can destroy ming in the first few years and run unapposed into china, devpushing institutions and being in a position to form Yuan and the Mongol empire (immediately after; not being a horde sucks) waaay earlier than any other strategy can. The Changtai-Uzbek alliance sucks, though. I'm still unsure if its a better idea to invade India through tibet early or if one should expand through the steppe.

    • @jackr3892
      @jackr3892 5 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Oirat is Definitely the Strongest. Th took Beijing and 2 others provinces plus over 2000 money in the First war.
      Then I annexed most of Manchuria to get 300 dev but Ming had already started to explode. I managed to take all of China in 100 years.

    • @Real_SkyRipper

      @Angry Abortion "As they should be" not really, i mean the Four Oirats were strong and Esen Taishi was a great general, but they failed at taking Beijing(at the time Peking) and then were destroyed, so the game is actually not realistic by making Ming look this weak, Ming only fell in the 1600+ but in-game they always fail before 1500 way to easy and fast now.

    Instead of full annexing Haixi at the start, I've found that you can usually trick Ming into defending you in a defensive war if you vassalize Udege.
    Ally Yeren, declare on Udege, take their capital, then break alliance with Yeren after they declare on Udege. Take some provinces and maybe bordergore your way to Solon, vassalize Udege and get called into their war as the defender, with Ming defending you.
    If you get lucky, Donghai will also declare, meaning you basically get all the provinces you need outside of Haixi instantly.
    I tried this several times without allying Yeren, and they were usually reluctant to declare war.

    Great video as always, the new patch is going well for me, doing a Brunei game, it was funny when Ming rivalled me when I got to 500 dev, then they collapsed about 10 years later. Now i'm over 800 dev and the primary power in Indonesia with Tondo as a March, Malacca and Madagascar as my vassal and Australia as my primary colony . Its such an under utilised nation I feel.

Tech and institution discounts help, but the best thing is stacking Meritocracy, Qing ideas, Full Innovative and maybe more for a 90% Advisor cost reduction. +5 advisors for 5 ducats a month! Also, if you declare your first war when Ming is under 50 Mandate you get a free occupation. AI doesn't wait to have 100 Mandate before passing a reform.

    Personally even with the new ideas and mechanics, I still think remaining as Manchu is the best if your going for world conquest. For me it’s mostly for the Tengri religion, confucian just isn’t that good even with harmonization. Tengri is amazing if can finally get to the Hindu provinces, when you synchronize with Hindu you get really big modifiers with Tolerance of heathens (which is pretty much 90% of all other religions for you.) and religious unity with a random even that can give you even bigger bonuses to those things for a few decades. Combine that with Humanist ideas and a revolt advisor you almost never have to worry about rebellions afterwards which can make or break world conquests.

    • @siinuxxblume5123

      That is true until you kill all of ming and get imperialism cb, because at that point there is no realy reason to stay a horde. You can take other tolerance+ to get everything accepted and +5% admin effiency is better than the whole manchu idea tree, but it is better to wait until imperialism i guess because free cb is always needed.

    It would definitely be possible to balance healthy expansion and colonization. Take Administrative first and make your way down to Indochina through Ming, than take Exploration and colonize the Spice Islands for infinite money. That is especially important since
    A: Qing is in Asia and will not be able to create Trade Companies for free money like Europeans.
    B: you can expell all non accepted cultires to Islands in order to raise more banners in mainland provinces.

I followed every step you showed for the first 20 years or so and, despite one or two restarts due to unfortunate rivals and alliances, it is now 1481 and I'm in my second war with Ming. They've got rebels tearing up the country, their mandate is 0, the unguarded frontier is well on its way, they have 0 manpower, and its just a slaughter.
    The only thing that never went according to plan was Korchin allying Oirat early on. Also, Ashikaga declared for my Korean provinces. But they can barely land a stack or two before my horses trample them.

And low mandate really hurts, it's not a modifier you just want to sit on and be unable to fix it. Compare that to the HRE emperor events that make you lose 50 diplo points.... maybe I just got really unlucky but I decided that I better invest my time into a Byzantium run where I make the HRE orthodox.

It may be because I completed the moral boost mission before attacking them, but they absolutely melt my troops I feel like that 10% boost wouldn’t even be enough to balance it out. I really want to do a Qing playthough but man I suck at war with Ming. It doesn’t help that in my games they end up beating Oriat and expanding by 1460. I have only done two playthoughs and both have miserably failed. The first time I tried waiting for the collapse of Ming, and even after the event Ming stayed intact. Maybe I should try and wait it out again because I’m in 1470 now and I stand no chance of beating Ming as it stands.

    Fun fact with the force tributary war you can take shitload of pronice. In 1 war i had more than 200 hunder overexstension. Dont do that guys. I lost all of my manpower to kill rebels but killed japan in 3 war. And you almost lose as many diplo as admin but i had a ton.

    The Guide is a good baseline, but there are some advanced strategies to play as manchu.
    1. The land in the north is useless so we burn it. You are getting ready to form manchu -> you kill tribes to your north -> take all their land -> core instantly by forming manchu.
    This will get you to the first technologies because those points are for free you dont even pay the coring for them.
    2. There is no point in switching to qing that early. After getting admin and the first national idea as manchu you can trucebreak Ming and make a profit on all points. You dont need permaclaims if the land is completly free anyway.
    3. dont take any chinese warlords only kill ming and after you killed ming and took the mandate in the last war you get free cores on everything in china and the warlords are really easy to take over too
    You can take over all of china before 1500 easily without any minmaxing. Just Being a horde and having the "take the mandate" cb with trucebreaking is way better than forming qing early. Also i would delay forming ming until acsolutism, but that is just because i like hordes more with their perma cb on everything and i dont like making claims. :)

      Is true i Rush for qing, was my mistake, i own the majority if china region, but the 400% overextesion, devastation and corruption, just when i manage the situation, mandate drops 0.

    I played Ming with the new update to get the "harmonise 6 religions achievement". Was pretty boring.
    The mandate buffs should be better, so you have more reason to take them.
    After taking a buff, you cannot go to war for some time, because the debuffs for low mandate are pretty high.
    And if you conquer a lot of land you cannot go to war, because you get a lot of negative mandate for the devastation.
    I like the idea, that Ming is pretty much dead without the mandate. But it is really hard to expand. I will try Qing with mandate next and hope, that it will make more fun. Also I want to try Yuan and conquer my way to Europe (if that's possible with the mandate).

    Every time I try this strategy my ai allies refuse to become tributaries cede provinces to the ming without become a tributary and do that over and over until they get annexed. On top of that ming usually has 110% discipline and 1 more morale than me. What am I supposed to do? Even if my allies are tributaries that just means they wont join my war unless I am also a tributary which is extra stab drops for me and I cant get unguarded frontier to fire, because I'm a ming tributary.

    Confucianism has such a bizarre name, considering the name of the guy who came up with it was "Kong" XD
    It should also be noted that my girlfriend is rather adamant that I try to distance myself from Confucianism as fast as possible, as her family lineage contains an unusual suffix that labels their heritage as descendant from Confucius (Kong). Confucianism is a rather divisive school of thought that really hampers individuality and was not so much a way to promote a good economy and work structure so much as it was a way to homogenize the entire society. So she's a little embarrassed about her ancestor... as influential as he may have become.
    It's all in goof faith though, and she's currently off back in her home country Korea, so I might do some fast runs as Confucian Manchu ;)

    I was watching old guides for Machu, and in 1.29 they broke up yeren/jianxhou into 3 other nations lol
    where do you colonize though? Taiwan and Philippines? Brunei? Australia? or Island Hop to the west coast of US? Africa?

    • @phoenix402
      @phoenix402 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      not sure if you're still looking for an answer, since it's been a month. but i personally like going for the indonesian spice trade, while setting up a CN in australia to help defend it (a well developed CN can field quite a decent sized navy, which will help fend off europeans). after that i try to set up CNs in alaska, western us and mexico.
      i personally don't bother with the western half of the world much early to mid game, but that's just personal preference, you can make a rush for the cape and hop from there if you really want to.
      oh, also, even though it doesn't really count as colonising, i'd still suggest buying/conquering a couple of provinces in india too while you're working on the above. doing so can massively boost your income. that way going over your colonist cap becomes that much more affordable.
