I was back at it last night. Had a hell of a time trying to get the DAW out back to the headphones from the SC. No luck yet. Will try again. It's not easy!!
You tha Man, they could have made a preset for reaper in the 'shows' they could not have made this harder... Thanks a mill for you patience and time you put in just to figure this web of spaghetti mindf?%k... I wished we could simply output all the playback from Reaper to the left and right master as does any other io such as my dumb M-audio 2x2r... Can we ?
Hi RC, to be fair, it's that much of a headache for every DAW :D. But I'm glad you found this video helpful! To answer your question, You can't output it right to the master, but you can send it to a set of stereo channels. Any two output channels you want. And then you can patch those two channels to any of the Soundcraft faders that you want. I tend to use LINE IN L/R for this purpose. So reaper master output patched to whatever output channels you want (i use 31/32) Then set the soundcraft faders for Line in Left to be DAW 31 and Right to be 32 then just turn up those faders and all your reaper output goes to your main soundcraft output. Hope you find that answer helpful too. Thanks for watching and happy mixing!
Hi Scott, sounds like you have the wrong channel patched, or the gain on the channel is so low you're not seeing signal. If your routing is correct and you have a decent amount of gain, you should see signal as soon as you arm the channel without having to do any other magic or witchcraft. Feel free to talk me through your patching and if I can catch an issue I'll point it out.
If you're getting signal into garage band but not into reaper, then it's almost assuredly your reaper settings. If you feel so inclined, send me a couple of photos or a video of your reaper settings and I'll see if I notice any issues. email@quickez.ca
Hi, I got some success, but, the only thing is... I can not pan in reaper. Panning only lowers the volume on the sides and full volume on center...... I can pan on the ui24's channel pan sliders, but, not in reaper and even playing a left right video from youtube (Mac-Brave browser to ui24 to speakers) also does not work... so I beieve I did something wrong on the Mac side... This ui sounds great !!!Your videos are a must for my noobness..
Hi RC, You need to have signal inside a stereo bus to be able to pan, if your channels are mono in reaper and not playing to a stereo bus, then the non-panning make sense. However, your browser audio not being able to pan doesn't make sense. Drop me a line here: email@quickez.ca and I'll get you sorted. email allows us to share screenshots unlike this comment section.

Hey I did everything you did step for step, and it went great until... you armed the track and input showed in the meter. I don't have that!

Thank u4 reply. 90 mins on phone with Harman didn't fix either! Ui into GarageBand NO PROBLEM

do you need to install a driver on the macbook for reaper to see the ui24r?
Hi Jeffrey,
No you don’t need a driver.
Mac’s core audio recognizes the mixer automatically.
@@QuickEZ I figured it out last night after! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The ui24r is a beast!
I wholeheartedly agree Jeffrey!
Thanks for watching, happy mixing!
