There are several kinds. Commonly, you'll see ones that go on the top of the motor and integrate with the intake manifold. These are roots/twin screw types. This kit has a centrifugal type, which is nearly a belt driven turbo. I think they are using a Vortech centrifugal s/c in this application.
I'm not trying to be a smart ass but It's actually a vortech supercharger and i was confused to when i started seen superchargers with the turbo housing.
I got a stock V6, and if it was about 5K installed with warranty, I'd think about it. There are a few advantages of a s.c. v6 over a stock v8, weight, gas milage, insurance, etc.
1st off.. DOES NOT MATTER IF IT'S ON A V6 or V8.. What matters is if it's 1 of the main 3. Intake mounted super charger(2 main,(1 sits on top on intake like GT500 & the lower clearance by Edelbroc that sits directly in the Vally like LS6. 2nd is also belt driven in the shape/for'm of a turbo that also forces air via a belt. Also referred to as a ProCharger & w/ stronger inner components can & will make HUGE A HP, & 3rd) good ole' turbo which is forced induction via- exhaust pressure which is f
I was thinking of putting a 2017 3.6 with a 8 speed in my 35 coupe. I can not find a aftermarket computor and harness for this transplant they have v8 set ups but no v6 does any body know how i can get this engine to run? This engine is 8000 dollars cheaper than the 2017 6.2 ss. The 3.6 is light powerful and good fuel mileage
Hey bro I have a 2015 Camaro V6 any suggestions I’ve been looking around and I can’t even get a closed box airbox but you know I’d like to either super charge it or turbo if possible let me know any suggestions I heard 14 and 15 I can’t really do anything
So, you made the V6 just a bit quicker than a stock V8? Why not just go for the V8. Couple mods on that for far less money will get you better sound, better performance, reliability, and just as fast. Think this through people!
So essentially what this is saying is that a V6 Camaro with 380 to the wheels is still slower than a V8 with 340-360 to the wheels ( stock ). Kind of disappointing I was hoping the forced induction V6's would push through a little more power even at low boost, I clearly understand this is not its max potential but still kind of disappointing.
Im sorry, but the reaction times are garbage to whoever is driving the V6, and I would NEED a better suspension if I considered this supercharger. It looks like the boarderline stall new stick drivers have when he launches....
The Camaro V6 has about 13~16% more weigth than the 3.7L Mustang eventhou the have the same torque so the mustang should be faster. The Stock Mustang V6 makes the 1/4 mile in 13.7s while Stock Camaro V6 does it in 14.2s. The supercharged version does the 1/4 mile in 13.0s (0.7s faster than the stock Mustang). The Camaros on these videos claim to be stock, meaning the have OEM fuel injectors, Exhaust and cams. In other words, they run on a lean mixture. The only reason they don't blow up is because they have GDI systems. If these had a better setup (atleast intake, exhaust and fuel intectors), both the power and time should improve greatly. With this setup, gas milleage should be greatly affected. I'm still worried on durability tho' since leam mixture means these Camaros are running dry...
Kill that annoying looping music when you show actual video of the Camaro, so we can hear the engine and squealing tires. Just a suggestion for future videos. I hate when people make videos and add unnecessary music...
Nice work, glad someone could bring a supercharger to the market.
Finally someone showing some numbers...and good ones, too! Good work!
V6 in the newer camaros is so powerful, that the V8 isn't that necessary anymore. I remember when the V6 Camaro was weak...but not the 2010+ models
V8 is very much necessary. Everyone loves a V8 rumble. Especially out of a LS engine
Trying to hear what the engine sounds like and the exhaust and why you have the music playing loud at the same time is beyond me!!

I am interested in supercharging a traverse because it has the same engine and make it a sleeper
Nice video. Impressive for sure, but $5900???
i have a 2012 impala and it has the same engine as the v6 camaro will the turbo charger work on mine?
If I am not mistaken all forced induction void's GM's warranty.
I told my friend about this and said that some superchargers look like turbos. I'm just used to seeing the ones on the V8 and not on the 6. My bad.
i miss speedworld!
get on camaro5 its a forum for 5th gen camaro owners IPF is a forum sponsor just ask them on there
Its a procharger thats why it looks like a turbo. Its belt driven=supercharger

They said I can only get Nas and I’m trying to gain at least 100 horse I got 323 with a standard transmission
what are they trying to prove burning out tires>>>?cant we do the same with our stock v6 s????

what was the gain on the 2012 V6 camaro?
Will this work on 2015 camaro?
does this supercharger voids the warranty ?

what u guys fixed in v6 turbo or a Supercharger?? confused or both/??
why all 4 tires spinning on the dyno?
dude thats a super charger turbos are metal and link to exhaust
4 wheel drive?

Hopefully it can be modified for the v6 srx lol
Were can I get a supercharger for a Camaro 15 v6 ?
marz Marzzz maybe they'll answer in 2018
Lol i have a 2016 v6 camaro and am interested too
marz Marzzz Overkill motorsports, Will Overkill
They don’t make the turbo kits anymore for the v6 the ones I seen were like $6000
What clutch and fly wheel are you running?
Umadbro? Its obvious its a manual the way its shifting gears.
isn't that a turbocharger??
i tried to buy the supercharger on the website but it didnt let me :(
You're too broke
These are no longer made. The Overkill (Google search) is a much better design and shipping now.
Where can I buy a tuner/programmer for my 2013 2LS???
So, you made the V6 just a bit quicker than a stock V8? Why not just go for the V8. Couple mods on that for far less money will get you better sound, better performance, reliability, and just as fast. Think this through people!
I would rather have an Twin-Turbocharged DOCH Dual VVT V6 than a Stock OHV V8... Better engine technology, better gas milleage, and more power
***** that's over 50k lol
Andres Perez the stock v6 is a very weak engine that has a shitty track record of breaking.
This is an AWD Camaro? I didn't knew Camaros came AWD...
its not an all wheel drive car.......... the dyno is an all wheel drive dyno machine, so they have to put all four wheels on it......
how many pounds of boost???
Will this fit my 2010 1ls?
Shame it needs that kind of power to BARELY touch the 12 sec mark. Looked like it was hooking just fine so the traction is there.
why a centrifugal supercharger ? instead of roots or twin screw?...:( i think it would be better....!!!!
I have a stock v6 2011 Camaro that will do 15.1 in a 1/4 mile. supercharged you only get in the 13s??? for 6k???
You say supercharger yet I see turbo. WTFM8?!
Can't check out the video for this annoying ass music! But genuinely interested in your product we need more info please!
Lol Seth 2 sec off in 1/4 mile is a lot you must not drag race and not bad for 6 grand. You want cheap do nitrous.
If whoever driving didn’t have a half second reaction time could’ve been a 12.9 or lower easy
id rather spend the same money to get the ss since it runs that stock. plus it sounds good with exhaust
Same engine so yeah lol
Can this work on an "09 caddy cts v6?
seems expensive for only trapping 106
13.13...bad luck
Probably to get the electronic nanny to not pull power. *ZOMG wheelspin cut fuel! and apply rear brakes!*

anyone know if it will work for an automatic?

Not as good or as fast.... It incresed torque. Look at a few v8 anything videos compared to a v6. Time the smoke.
whats funny is 3.7 mustangs NA running faster in the 1/4, glad I didnt buy one of these

Andres Perez "gas milleage should not be greatly affected"
Andres Perez Do you think fuel injectors will make a difference on the Camaro SS? Are the stock ones restrictive like the intake and exhaust?
