Awesome set of cars at the track, FTO is slept on it deserves way more credit than it gets. Great driving too man I was on the edge of my seat the entire video. Can't wait to get my vr4 on the road, I've been loving my 4g63T eagle talon.

@@BeybladeNewZealand Yeah I have done a POV drive video on my talon on my channel, I'm planning on doing one on the 3000gt once its fully fixed (typical 3000gt always under repair). I bought it a year ago and at the time it was abandoned for nearly 12 years and since then I have been restoring almost everything on the car.

Thanks! The GTO Non Turbos - especially the SRs are no slouch even though they weight 1,610 kgs. That black GTO you see there was actually my very first car that I sold to a friend. I miss it. You can see it in this video: th-cam.com/video/czGLcpnox5A/w-d-xo.html
And no, my FTO is a GP Version R 2000.

I highly recommend you do!
The GPX is like the touring version with all the creature comforts like climate control, electronic windows, sound deadening some have traction control etc.
The Version R is the Track Version made to compete with the Honda Integra Type R - it dosen't have the luxury features but it has the more aggressive suspension set up and an incredible Torsen/Mechanical LSD from factory. They are super rare though with only 400 - 500 made and they were mostly automatic.

Nice car, we have a Caldina GT-FOUR btw. Love it.
I use the phone app called TrackAddict and use the company's desk top editing Software called RaceRender 3 Ultimate.
You can see my phone recording the video and track data using GPS. I didn't use the video recorded by my phone but instead used the GoPro footage on my helmet and overlayed the data.
And then also overlayed the Go-Pro footage pointing at my feet.

I consider myself a normal person.
Maybe my response made it sound complicated - it is not I can assure you. I recommend try downloading the app first and give it a go. Everything is already pre-set and GPS is used to record your time and positioning on the track.
@@paologarcia8541 I just paritcullaryly like how u made this look like a game ... coz I know Australians have been doing this with their gear provided on track, wondering why we are not doing it while we have way better stuff than what they got over there :P

Wow the FTO surprised me there for the price you can pick these up compared to the gto there not bad
Yes they are amazing Machines. That black GTO there is my old GTO SR (non Turbo) it is very fast for a heavy N/A car.
@@paologarcia8541 was just about to ask that is that gto in front a turbo but you already answered it , I currently have a gto tt , but even tho it's a na like you said it did a good job to hold it's own against a car so light when its so chunky , will have to pick up and FTO at some point when I have some room in garage to give one a try !

I highly recommend getting your hands on an FTO before they become extinct and you'll have to import them from Japan. The America's have bumper prices up the Japan auctions
No I'm from the UK , theres still a alot of then over here and there stupidly cheap can pick up a mvec one for about £600 here GTOs have recently started increasing in price though.
@@SirPigeonThe3rdOfDunecaster Ah yes, very popular there in the UK. A shame insurance and MOT is so expensive for these cars.. They are dying though. Hope you get one soon, these cars feel like AWDs around corners.
What mods have you done to your FTO? I noticed the engine temperature gauge was always well below half way, wish that was the case for my FTO when on track. After 15 minutes or so I start to get heat soak and the needle goes past half way. I've changed the rad for a new one and done a complete flush, but no difference.
Hey ive got no engine mods apart from a K&N air filter.
Sounds like you need to do a collikg system overhaul.. car temps should not be going above halfway line
Need to seriously look into that, the fto is designed to be driven hard and not overheat at all
just watched that japanese video of it racing a silvia k , they thrashed it ! its about the same as the silvia
That was also only pre facelift FTO GPX they used. The Silvia will not be able to keep up with a FTO Version R ;)

Heya,
GP Version R is the highest performance , track/race oriented FTO made and very limited in numbers. If you want absolute best performing FTO and rarity go for the GPvR. GPX has a less aggressive suspension set up, climate control, traction control etc to make it more a comfy touring sports car.
What kind of oil did you fill in and the viscosity?
I used Penrite Racing 10 (10w40) why do you ask?
@@paologarcia8541 Because, a long session on 5w30 oil, the car could not withstand such a long race, I pour idemitsu zepro racing 5w40.

The FTO can't keep speed and run fast without using MIVEC better.
