- Two pieces of music played at opening and closing of CRI broadcasts (signing on and off on shortwave), recorded in 2001/2002 near Warsaw, Poland.
Info from you, the viewers, in the comments: The outro is from a traditional melody called "Jasmine".
The opener is for the Polish service - "Chińskie Radio Międzynarodowe - mówi Pekin". - เพลง
I love this music, it reminds me of my childhood when I used to listen to CRI🥰

Thank you for posting this - I've just picked this up on my 1970s East German radio and couldn't think of the station signal. Your video helped me remember :)
I picked it too with a cheap chinese radio in Portugal.
I used to listen to this radio, in shortwave, in Vietnamese and Cambodian, I remember listening this particular shortwave with the inetiary as follows (+8 UCT) (around 918 kHz)
1. China Radio International in Chinese - 1830-1930
2. Dead silence for 30 minutes
3. China Radio international in Cambodian - 2000-2100
4. French 24 Radio (i assumed) - 2100-2200
3. China Radio International in Cambodian - 2200-2300
4. China Radio International in Vietnamese - 2300-0100
5. End of Broadcasting
I used to listen to China Radio International via Radio Luxembourg on 1440 kHz MW in North West England when the English programme went out at 21.00 UK / 22.00 CET
I listen to the Hungarian programme at 10:00 UTC at 15220 kHz
@ALEX GAMING FR Yes CRI leased airtime on Radio Luxembourg 1440 kHz MW for a while with the English programme then later on abandoned English for German only after the power was reduced to 300kW from 600kW and the UK night antenna was demolished.
Esta radio la escuché por onda corta y este intro el año 2002 que recuerdos radio China internacional !
Beauty of CRI
I listening în EVERY evening Radio China International on Romainian on 6090 kHz 19:00 to 20:00 GMT
Sadly I can't hear its Bengali service anymore :(
The outro is from a traditional melody called "Jasmine". I only found it out 15 years later.
Thank you so much
Jasmine riceeeeeeeeee
do you have youtube video link??? i want it
@@chinmoyprakashgogoi2121 OK. Here you are: th-cam.com/video/9qqrIgYaVZ4/w-d-xo.html
You may want to skip to 1:00. From 1:05 to 1:28 you will definitely notice the similarity between the CRI's altered version and the original "Jasmine Flower". CRI did a good job altering a segment of the original melody by implementing a different harmony with more instruments apart from the guzheng (popular music usually calls this technique "remixing").
Memorable
Ten sygnał jest do dziś. :) Fale krótkie i średnie a szczególnie Polskie programy przypominają mi czas, gdy miałem 4, 5, 6 lat.
This had Bengali service heard from Dhaka at 102.0 MHz from 06:00-00:00 GMT+06:00. Now it is closed
Nostalgic..
nostalgia
China Radio Int, Radio Being,Peking
Also in CNR 1. Chris Kadlec and JZ Alvarez are getting DX that station
In Europe RTL Relayed China On 1440 KHz
Listening occasionally to the CRI english programming on shortwave. such as "Chinaplus Radio News" , "EZFM" , "The Bejing hour" , "LanguageCafe" , "Takeaway chinese" , "RoundTable" , and more. traditional stories. A special host for me at CRI is Mrs. Man-Ling, when it comes to chinese traditional content. A former program hosted by her was "heartbeat", in which traditional customs throughout the chinese culture were presented.
Nostalgic memories!!! I am also a listener to the show, love RoundTable so much!!! Miss the days when I can catch it live at 1 PM Beijing time.
By the time I grab camera I always miss outro and get the intro of the next block of programming. Usually switching languages.
