Avoiding your ex isn't always easy...
Based on the book by Benjamin Myers, Shane Meadows fictionalises the remarkable true story of the rise of David Hartley and the Cragg Vale Coiners - a gang of weavers and land-workers in 18th Century Yorkshire who embarked upon a revolutionary criminal enterprise that would capsize the economy and become one of the biggest frauds in British history.

One of the best things I've ever watched. Bloody amazing acting and writing and filming .. just so good
This is England 1760! :-)
Loved this show only gripe was only 3 shows could've and should've been a lot longer.
Shane said it was COVID that cut it short
Michael Sorcha is fabulous. he made this drama .
His voice is lovely .she was slightly grating .
Love love love it .. this scene was brilliant .. 😂👍🏻
My uncle plays Billy Vardy in this show
I'm not even British but I live in Britain and love their unique language
Absolutely loved the writing in this. Dialogue was perfect, made me feel like I was back home in Calderdale
Can we have more Michael Sorcha dramas please BBC
Guess she forgot her hairpins @ the Abbey?
Love these two 😂😂💞👏🏻
Brilliant
Yeah.
Life is so sad.
Nobody gets what they
want.
It's utterly sad.
Life must be destroyed.
I’m 12 and this is deep

Yeah.
First, I don't care about
how many you are.
If it's important to you
then go the h@ll away.
If it's not, then why
would you mention that.
Second, the number 12
is especially painful
to me.
That's a k@ll@r number
responsible for many
lives.
And third, when finally
life will be destroyed
I'll think of you 12
times.
Can you make a BBC five that is my dream
Yep. It's been a while
Yep. 2005 at Bar Loui Downtown Nashville 0:04
18 years yep. The strange part of it is nothing 0:04
I have a wife in Birmingham. UTV!
Lol
Disappointed in this, should have been great, but it really wasn't.
“I can hear ya breathing “
The dialogue sounds like an eoisode of GoggleBox
Well I'm 13 minutes in. Someone said 'Are you OK? which if I'm not mistaken wasn't a word existing in the 1800's. The dialogue is all wrong. The opening scene dragged on for ever. I'm done. It's not for me.
They didn't have digital cameras either, can't believe they used digital cameras to record this, disgusting. 😡😡😡😡😡😡
@@CalicoAidan 🤣🤣🤣
Modern dialogue always puts me off too in historical pieces.
It's not meant to be a documentary
@@CalicoAidan You're confusing realism with reality. It's not clever or funny. It's just sad.
I can see why she's his ex!
