I'm here after finding out Helen McCrory passed away. I can't believe she's gone. Her roles are most certainly iconic and Peaky Blinders won't be the same without Polly. May she rest in peace. So heartbreaking 💔
I love Helen McCrory! She is as ballsy as her character. The strong women in this show are amazing. Cillian.......those eyes, those cheeks, WOW, oh, and his acting too. From The US, your series is on fire here! Best thing on Netflix!
Helen looks very different when she is not acting! PB will not be the same without her character, and most certainty the only actress that can play her well!
LOVE Carynn Mandabach. She is a smart, prolific woman, i could listen to her for hours! Funny, and really knows her craft of what it takes to make a movie!! Great Stuff!
My father was born in 1899, my mother in 1909, so in a way I share the time span, if not the location of Steven Knight's brilliant (and brilliantly acted) drama. Now (having seen 5i & 5ii) i wonder the followng: Is Tomy Shelby going to be invited down to Chartwell? Now we have Mosley, are we going to meet the Mitford sisters - and even Hitler? Did Alfie Solomons die in 4,vi - and if not how might that connect to Mosely's blackshirts? Where is Charles Shelby going to go to school? - And one (with a wink) for Mr Knight: Have you ever been to Grimsby? If so, I hope you visited the fishing museum where Ewan McColl can be heard "Singing the Fishing." - They don't come much more working class than Ewan!
My grandparents were born in 1905 and 1907 so more Finn's age I guess, but my grandmother's wedding dress was almost identical to Ada's. He wore a newsboy cap in some photos, spats, plus fours, he had the haircut but not quite so severe. My grandpa was born in Leicester and met my nannan in Coventry. She never lost her accent even after leaving for the East Midlands. I totally understand!
I love all the Peaky Blinders series, but Series 3 was my favourite... "Sometimes, assassins hide their allegiances behind the balls... " Class as fuck !
@@yvettemoore1228 Also writing. In most shows the creator usually leads a writersroom to figure out where the series is heading and then people from the room write different episodes, the creator usually the first and the last episode. In this case Knight developes the whole plot and writes every episode so you can imagine that takes time. Let's say there is a season a year and 6-10 writers working on it versus this show where it's just him, it's not going to finish up so quickly. Also many shows write episodes while they are already filming finished ones, in Peaky Blinders cast gets the final drafts of the six episodes month before filming to prepare well for the complicated filming schedule where they jump let's say scene from episode 2 into filming a scene from episode 5 to save money that they don't have.
It's a good show, no question, but what ruins it for me are the multiple appalling attempts at doing a Brummie accent. They're a million miles away. Considering Steven Knight is a Brummie himself, surely he could advise? Cillian Murphy actually does a decent job, but most of them are horrendous. The only natural accents I've seen in this series are Tommy's two little kids. Why not just employ Brummie actors?
Brummie actors might not be able to get into the characters as good, it'd be better to sacrifice a true accent over good acting rather than poor acting but they sound right
@@paulmaudsley8817 of course, it's a fair point, but for a city of over a million people, and the Black Country next door also having a million odd, I'm sure there'd be plenty of talent knocking about locally.
Cillian and Helen actually both address this in an interview, and laugh about how many different takes on the Birmingham accent there are on one set. It is a difficult accent, but I agree that you would assume someone would be there to try and pull their accents together a bit more. That being said, they do such a fantastic job of portraying their characters and sucking you in, that I think the accents can be forgiven.
Very true I say this , and I just get f laughed at , Tom is ok , but Arthur is terribly bad , like Paul Anderson a lot , , then tom hardy , I just don't get him at all ,
Helen was a fabulous actress, excellent in every role she played. Sorry for her loving family, it must hurt like hell to lose this gorgeous woman.

Arthur’s late for the fookin’ meeting again
I wanted to see Arthur and Tommy......

Sharon Mullins Helen is boring
Her Brummie accent is all over the place tho
Series five isn’t on Netflix your talking shite
Rest in peace , inimitable brilliant Helen McCrory.
Why is there no interviews with the Shelby family together 😭😭
Listening to Helen's answer on "what else can her character go through" question broke my heart, broke my fucking heart!! 😭😭
i wish they'd get michael fassbender or james mcavoy into the series, even if its for a few episodes
This!
Sprezza tura I could see Michael fassbender . It would be cool if fassbender was a lost Shelby brother and mcavoy obviously another Shelby rival
oh my god YES PLEASE
Fassbender should be a new and terrifying ally to the Shelby’s!!!!! He should work among Hardy and Murphy, I would be flabbergasted
Gosh Helen was so delightful...it's really quite tragic that she died...
Love Helen’s hair.
I'm going to have to watch this again. Love The Peaky Blinders and was feeling like I was left in limbo when it ended.
Helen was so wise. What a painful loss.
Weren't Harry and Finn there? Weird they weren't on stage. Though, if they're in the room I think they are, the 'stage-space' is pretty cramped.
Helen looks very different when she is not acting! PB will not be the same without her character, and most certainty the only actress that can play her well!
Turned up to conduct a BFI interview on one of the biggest shows on TV in a pair of shorts!
god forbid
I know I was thinking that too smh
I LOVE listening to Carynn!! Nice sounding voice and so smart about what she does and says’…
We're missing someone.
GREAT interviewer! I can NOT wait for it to come on Netflix - I'm trying to avoid ANY spoilers!
Arthur gets killed by Aberama 👀
Rest in power queen Helen

Where tf was Cillian?
He is very busy actor, and at the moment is filming in the states.
Interviews are always a different mix of actors
Gggg oh yeah,I didn’t think about that
Filming A Quiet Place 2 ?
Gggg Men wrestling in wetsuit
Helen is the bomb!
He's dead - Narcissa Malfoy
Grace and Tommy are never on the interviews :(
We are watching the inside workings of Steven Knights mind!!!!! WOW

I love this show it is wicked and most of it is shot in my hometown Bradford 😆✌
Stephen made a great series and. Hopefully a film!!! Fantastic!
Came for Sophie
Am I really dumb or when Helen was first speaking she looked like she only had 1 arm 😂😂
Be so much better with Tommy and Arthur!! Where are they??
Busy Blast out their fooking enemy togather obviously
These panels only have four or five people usually, so I guess it's whoever had the time. 'Old Blue Eyes' 😂😂
Helen McCrory was a high class woman, a strong woman
I wish they put Jack O’Connell in the series
been waiting for this :-)
I love all the Peaky Blinders series, but Series 3 was my favourite... "Sometimes, assassins hide their allegiances behind the balls... " Class as fuck !
for me, season 4 is the best
Darn you publicity shy Cillian! 😍
Im look forward to see peaky blinders only to see sam
Sam calvin 🙈💕
Rip helen
people say Cillian is never there because he's busy, and I'm like, is Sam Caflin THAT out of a job...?
Cill is a famous film and stage actor, Sam is not.
I got mrs. malfoy and finnick odair here
Why only 6 episodes 😠 lol
Because that's the same length as every other fucking season
Because they don't stretch out plots and character arcs just because the show is more popular now. Quality over quantity
@@notxvexorr4379 I think the production process is quite intense as well. There's a lot of setting up and it takes time.

Are those women's leggings he's wearing?
Love Peaky blinders...
Not gonna lie, season 5 was good but definitely the weakest of the series
Yes... Was feel the same... Something missing at the season 5 , a very different sensation from all the rest,
This series is a mess. It's just one long pop video. It used to be unmissable but now it's nonsense. Me thinks they've let success go to their heads.
Yeah it needs to finish up fast I think
Season 4 was amazing. Season 5 is meh
Harsh, but if that's how you feel 🤷
Wrong - it’s excellent
You lost me at “me thinks”. 😐
