My favorite line in the whole episode was Homelander saying he was going to go run lines with Noire. It was such a small throw away line but hilarious. Just goes to show the amazing dialogue this series has.

My two cents: Black Noir is the game changer as his loyalties are only to Vought. Homelander and Stormfront have made an apparent unstoppable duo. A-Train, The Deep and Queen Maeve, I predict joins The Boys resulting in all out civil war, and here comes Soldier Boy.
Well the seven will clearly break apart at the end of the season, unsure what the exact fallout will be or how, only the replaces by the Payback team led by Stormfront, which will ofc include Soldier Boy
John P the 7 will not be breaking up by the end of the season. We are only on season 2 so it’s way too early for them to disband. Homelander and Stormfront have started a strong alliance that will rely on each other to get what they want. Black Noir is Edgar’s pawn so he isn’t going anywhere. A-Train is being replaced which means there’s still an A-train. Starlight isn’t going anywhere because she is too important to the Boys and the storyline. It would be more exciting to see her have to choose at some point next season between the 7 or the Boys. She’s pivotal for storyline purposes as part of the 7. The Deep isn’t fully out of the 7 and the church needs him back in for whatever scheme they are up to. Only one person may be leaving. Meave can be killed but that’s not even certain. We’ll see how things go. Clearly the 7 isn’t going anywhere and if Meave is killed that leaves room for a new character. Meave’s storyline is weak af anyways and she’s annoying the shit out of me. They gotta get her out of here this season.
It really does look like they are building for some kind of Season 3 Civil War. It'd be awesome to see some actually appropriate damage when super powered humans are trying to murder each other.
To be honest, Love Sausage was the one character I thought least likely to make it to TV, and also the one I most wanted to see ☺ Bit of a shame we only get to see him briefly as a psychiatric inmate, but at least they gave him the best superpower ever, though I suppose Mister Fantastic could probably do the same, if Marvel ever completely lost their minds.
@@JTuanDoan thanks for the reminder, been a while since I read the comics and I mainly remember LS for his 'vodka' and his bond with Hughie. Now that TV stormfront is such a major character they could hopefully bring him back to help deal with her. They seem to be throwing in more and more comic references as they go so I'm still hopeful.

I think Episode 6 debunks the theory of Stormfront as Homelander's mother: Stormfront promised to never lie to Homelander ever again -- if she knows that she's Homelander's biological mother yet doesn't reveal that incredible fact to him while recounting her history to Homelander, that omission would be another lie. Also, if she was Homelander's biological mother, I don't think her Nazi beliefs would allow for her to profess romantic love for him and engage in incest.
@@Holthis if she were really Homelander's mother, telling him the truth and playing a maternal role for him would be the most compelling way for Stormfront to manipulate Homelander. Stormfront is too clever to miss an opportunity like that if it was available. Also, everything about Stormfront thus far suggests she's a "true believer" regarding Nazi ideals -- it seems like a huge reach to think that she'd have romantic and sexual feelings for her own son rather than genuine maternal instincts and pride that her son is the epitome of the Aryan ideal.

Interesting theories, but was hoping you would address a couple of things more closely: 1) What was keeping Cindy restrained in the first place given she could easily blow "The Bloody Doors Off"? 2) What does it mean for Annie's character now that she's killed an innocent civilian?
Lamplighter told Stormfront that Cindy supposedly got out because the doctor screwed up herf dose; I'm assuming her cell has a constant aerosolized sedative pumped through it. So breaking it open disperses the sedative and Cindy starts waking up, her slow gait out of her cell not just for intimidation.

I think Frenchie still has more to learn about his girlfriend, how much you want to bet sherry was paid to draw frenchie away by lamp lighter? ( another hiding story line for frenchie?). Sherry has already shown she has no Problem to betraying anyone for Money, even almost kill there best friend!!( then how he sunddly died ?). Something that i just raised my eye browe.

But Homelander (or at least Anthony Starr) doesn't really have blonde hair; you can see his dark roots and stubble (which they always emphasise when they want him to look really evil). But yeah, Stormfront loves his blue eyes,she made a point of mentioning them first time they met.
I have been thinking. It would be really fun if The Church of the Collective wasn’t trying to get The Deep and A-Train back into the 7. Instead they were trying to form their own 7 with members who are looking for payback. I haven’t read the comics but I’m somewhat familiar with them. In the comics the parody of the avengers is a team led by Stormfront called “Payback.” Looks like maybe we are looking at the beginning of this shows version of Payback. The show isn’t exactly the same as the comics so they could easily use that idea in a different way. Plus A-train is clearly looking for payback, and whether the deep knows it or not he’s helping Maeve get payback. Maybe the church along with The boys are going to be our only hope against an “Army of Supermen”
Yep, this video is wrong when it claims' the Church of the Collective have two member of the Seven in their cult. What they have are two ex-members of the Seven. With Annie dead set against the Deep rejoining the team he has no chance - Maeve's plans and promise to re-instate him are independent of the Church and are obviously ultimately going to go the shape of the pear. And with A-Train's clear inability to perform plus the fact the Seven are now run by Adolf & Eva means he ain't getting back in either. I believe the Church simply wants it's own team of supes, and even ex members f the Seven have a very high celebrity status and public profile. And what's with the Fresca?
Theory: I think that after the nazis lost the war, stormfront stayed hidden with the help of her husband and his company, but she decided that the world should be dominated by the supes and the normal humans should die (So she have a similar goal to magneto, but an opposite back story). Before she decided that, she began to create an army, it was small and its members were from a church: the idea was to bring the nazi ideology inside the US, but for some reason it didn't work and the church accepted non white members (that's why she calls the Deep an idiot for join the church, but says to A-train that once "it was a pure place, before they started to accept everyone") later that church became the church of the collective. After that, she started to think that the problem was the fact that normal humans are weak and supes (but mostly whites supes because she still a nazi after all) are the future, so she started to create her own army of supes with the help of Edgar: He is a black man, but since he have a lot of power and influence over the World, she will allow him become a super and have a place in her new world when the compound V becomes stable in adults (after all Frederick was accepted as an America "like Disney and Edison" so why not Edgar as a "pure super") she said her self she had to change a lot so she doesn't like Edgar but tolerates and works with him. After all, it would be very hard make a new economic system, so why not use the already existing one and only take over the government. Sorry for the English, not a native speaker and also I didn't know how to put the ideas in a good order :)
Is it just me or was Starlight quite casual and composed even after Howie was badly wounded ? Felt she would be more invested in trying to save him rather than make more conversation with Butcher! Hell , she is even the one that suggests - what about the others? Her character arc and overall motivation / morals seem a bit all over - dontcha think?
I think Homelander and stormfront are a mew/mewtwo situation. She didn't give birth to him but her dna was almost definitely used to create him. Maybe something in her blood was the key to stabilizing the formula.

Good work, very enjoyable watch! I noticed a discrepancy around the 8 minute mark. You say that Kimiko and her brother were given Compound V when they were young. They were both given it as adults. Kimiko was one of the survivors as an Adult with Compound V and her brother says something to the effect of "they only had one more dose, and they gave it to me, because they know that it worked for you, so they assumed it would also work for me" If I remember correctly this line is on the scene with the boat when they talk together, but maybe it was before that
I wonder if they are going to with Edgar being a straight up buisnessman, like he doesn't care if he's working with a literal Nazi he just wants the company to be as powerful as possible. I feel like it'd fit with the themes of the show pretty well.
I’m starting to wonder if Black Noir is Edgar’s secret son if Edgar doesn’t turn out to be Vought. Edgar has to know Stormfront is racist and what her plans are when she finds no further use for him. He would need a failsafe and it could be Black Noir (infused with the same DNA manipulation that Homelander received).
And I also don’t think storm front went “missing” for 40 years. Liberty went missing, but storm front was in Portland or wherever before the seven, and could of had a different name before that
I knew Starlight was going to have her first kill but I didn't think it would be this soon. I thought she would kill someone on the finale and that would be like her first taste of blood and set up a slow heel turn for her in future seasons. But this works too. I also Black Noir doesn't kill her because they fight in the trailer.
I was frustrated the first time I learned they were going to release episodes every week instead of releasing them all in one go, but now I actually appreciate looking forward to every Friday for a new one like some old tv show from yesteryear.
If Vought is close to making V for adults, maybe The Boys will inject themselves and gain their comic powers which could allow them to bash Stormfront in.
Can’t blame Maeve for bailing on the plane passengers. When it comes down to it she can’t fly, she couldn’t do shit. Nothing wrong with living to fight another day
I'm putting this everywhere cuz that's how much I believe it :D I have a theory that Compound V isn't normally transferable through genes, I think usually a Supe can't pass on his/her superpower abilities to his/her biological offspring. This makes Homelander's kid special and its the reason why the kid and Becca are in a non televised version of The Truman Show, he's possibly the first person to be BORN w/ Compound V in his genes. We see Stormfront's inability to age didn't pass on to her daughter, and I can't help but wonder if she's trying to get knocked up by Homelander in the hopes of producing a "Perfect Child" or something. I also think that maybe Mr. Edgar is actually Vought somehow; that he somehow used Compound V or maybe good old fashion cosmetic surgery to change his appearance. I got that feeling way back in episode 1 or 2 when he was explaining the 'real story' of Vought's life, not the autobio book version. It kinda fits w/ Stormfront the Neo-Nazi being of Jewish origin, perhaps he chose to do the reverse and change into an unassuming, complete opposite physical form to not only seem less intimidating but to hide the fact that he's still alive. It's tin foil I'll admit but it's a fun idea ya?

I think you got some things wrong: 1. Starlight didn't kill that man. Based on her expression when she checked his pulse, I think he's still alive. 2. Homelander didn't burn Stormfront trailer, he burned his own trailer. 3. Kimiko and her brother weren't given Compound V as infants, they were injected as adults. He said to her alone the line of "It worked on you, so they also injected me."
Agree with your points BUT i do think she left the man to die even though she did not kill him DIRECTLY. We saw him bleeding out slowly from the back of his head on the ground, yet she never thought of fixing his wounds like she did for Huey & there is a high chance that he died from slowly bleeding out with no one to save him, since he said b4 dying that they were in the middle of no where.
Regarding Edgar and Stormfront: I think people are overthinking it. I think it's as simple as this: Edgar is a businessman. A cold-blooded businessman, the epitome of soulless capitalism, money stripped of any meaning, justification, or ethos. The Boys serves as a critique of modern American culture, and business interests of *long* rallied behind white supremacist politicians and agendas, either passively or actively (see, Facebook), so long as it fit their bottom line. Edgar likely doesn't care for Stormfront's overt racism-- he likely doesn't care enough even give it thought. Stormfront might have her own agenda, but Edgar, arrogant businessman that he is, can't seem to fathom the importance of ideology at all, and thus sees her nature as an annoying burr on one of his tools. They're using each other, playing chicken with devastating consequences for the general public.

Stormfront thinks she's using Vought. One of them is right, and they're both too arrogant to get out of bed with one another. It's a perfectly plausible situation.
I like that the Boys are taking an Oedipal approach to Homelander's character. I mean, he literally killed his father, who for all intents and purposes was Dr. Vogelbaum, and slept with his mother, who I believe is probably StormFront.

When Stillwell slipped up about Becca and the baby, Homelander tells Stillwell, in the final episode before he kills her, that he went back to Vogelbaum and "squeezed the truth out of him". I assume that means Homelander killed him after the Dr. told him the truth, but I could be wrong. Given his track record with people who lie to him, I assume Homelander killed him.
the more I watch it, the more I can see this show going on for tons of seasons and stilling being great. similar to game of thrones, which characters switching allegiances and motives. very excited to see what comes next

No actual evidence on the show, just innuendo, especially the convo she has when she reveals the truth to homelander. It may also be the tie in with the comics Stormfront character.
It’s the way she’s gazing at him with maternal pride when she talks about how he’s exactly what they wanted and they’re so proud of how he turned out (I’m paraphrasing, but even the words she used in this scene we’re coded as “maternal”). Add that to the timeline of when she disappeared from public life and his “‘mommy” fetish, and you’ve got yourself a reasonably credible working theory.

Lamplighter gave the excuse to Stormfront that the dr screwed up Cindy's dosage, so to me that means they keep her drugged up so she can't concentrate. Then maybe having her door blown open snapped her out of it and she was finally able to use her full power. Just a thought. They also could have just completely overlooked it.
@@punisherhulk7031 exactly. The door wasn't there to keep her in physically but to help keep her calm mentally(along with drugs). It fits the shows theme of mental weakness being far more important than any physical weakness
I'm sure it's been said, but the fact that Iceman from X-men is now a knock-off version of his arch nemisis, Pyro, down to the fidgeting Zippo lighter, is pure irony.
What I personally find interesting is that more than one of the super-terrorists we see on-screen has had some form of telekinetic power. First Kenji, then the super Homelander killed, then the test-subject Lamplighter incinerated, then Cindy, then the patient that incidentally injured Hughie with that shockwave. It could simply be coincidental that the power resurfaces in both the super-terrorists and Sage Grove test subjects
Thats not almost every super terrorist. One could explode, kimko has strength speed and healing, the African man seems like he could generate wind not move things with his mind, and cindy and the guy lamplight killed were no more terrorists then love sausage or acid vomit guy

I think some if not all the time that Stormfornt has been missing is she took care of her daughter Claire because of her condition of having Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is a very slow working disease and Stormfront may have wanted to spend as many good years as possible with Clarie . Plus when the disease did get worst not have her daughter being in some kind of home and so decided to take care of her child.
Everyone thought Stormfront was Homelander's mom, back in Episode 5. But this episode disproves that, otherwise, she would've said so during her tell-all.
i think maybe cindy suppose to be silver kincaid from the comic, her power is crushing things. Also in the comic homelander is made from stormfronts DNA so in a way stormfront was his father, so in the show i am gonna guess they used her egg to make him.
I find it intresting that the deep seems to be legitmly remorseful for his actions. He also is trying to do good things with his sexual harasment and enviormental psas. Though the world seems to be draging him down with them. While his goal of returning to the seven means he is not being full selfless in his actions. Though he is trying to legitmly help others and better himself. Brings him in closer to his comic counter part being one of the least awful supes.

It's way out of character for Annie to react like that to killing someone. Also, why did Butcher even even need a ruse? Why not accept a lift to the hospital instead of trying to steal his car. And why do I get the feeling that's Vaz's one and only appearance?
My top 3 powers from when I was a kid and to this day are luck, immortality(with this you don’t feel pain or age after a certain age) and time manipulation 1)if your ‘lucky’ enough you could find a green lantern ring or batman makes you his sidekick 2)yes everyone around you dies but your basically deadpool, you can do whatever the hell you want 3)time power is best power. I don't think it was Cindy that Stormfront and Lamplighter were talking about on the phone. I re-watched episode 5 and they definitely refer to whoever they're talking about as "he" and "him."
My theory is that Stormfront and Edgar are working together to make Compound V stable either 1) to sell, 2) to produce more heroes, or 3) to produce more terrorists. This being said, I think Stormfront will try and betray Vought by using the supes to enact the coupe from the comics. Starlight will be the one to kill Stormfront.

A-Train is being replaced which means there’s still an A-train. Starlight isn’t going anywhere because she is too important to the Boys and the storyline. It would be more exciting to see her have to choose at some point next season between the 7 or the Boys. She’s pivotal for storyline purposes as part of the 7. The Deep isn’t fully out of the 7 and the church needs him back in for whatever scheme they are up to.
Only one person may be leaving. Meave can be killed but that’s not even certain. We’ll see how things go. Clearly the 7 isn’t going anywhere and if Meave is killed that leaves room for a new character. Meave’s storyline is weak af anyways and she’s annoying the shit out of me. They gotta get her out of here this season.

It really does look like they are building for some kind of Season 3 Civil War. It'd be awesome to see some actually appropriate damage when super powered humans are trying to murder each other.
To be honest, Love Sausage was the one character I thought least likely to make it to TV, and also the one I most wanted to see ☺ Bit of a shame we only get to see him briefly as a psychiatric inmate, but at least they gave him the best superpower ever, though I suppose Mister Fantastic could probably do the same, if Marvel ever completely lost their minds.

Now that TV stormfront is such a major character they could hopefully bring him back to help deal with her. They seem to be throwing in more and more comic references as they go so I'm still hopeful.

I think Episode 6 debunks the theory of Stormfront as Homelander's mother: Stormfront promised to never lie to Homelander ever again -- if she knows that she's Homelander's biological mother yet doesn't reveal that incredible fact to him while recounting her history to Homelander, that omission would be another lie. Also, if she was Homelander's biological mother, I don't think her Nazi beliefs would allow for her to profess romantic love for him and engage in incest.
I think them being two of the strongest supes to ever exist supercedes incest concerns for Stormfront
@@Holthis if she were really Homelander's mother, telling him the truth and playing a maternal role for him would be the most compelling way for Stormfront to manipulate Homelander. Stormfront is too clever to miss an opportunity like that if it was available. Also, everything about Stormfront thus far suggests she's a "true believer" regarding Nazi ideals -- it seems like a huge reach to think that she'd have romantic and sexual feelings for her own son rather than genuine maternal instincts and pride that her son is the epitome of the Aryan ideal.

Interesting theories, but was hoping you would address a couple of things more closely:
1) What was keeping Cindy restrained in the first place given she could easily blow "The Bloody Doors Off"?
2) What does it mean for Annie's character now that she's killed an innocent civilian?
Lamplighter told Stormfront that Cindy supposedly got out because the doctor screwed up herf dose; I'm assuming her cell has a constant aerosolized sedative pumped through it. So breaking it open disperses the sedative and Cindy starts waking up, her slow gait out of her cell not just for intimidation.

I have been thinking. It would be really fun if The Church of the Collective wasn’t trying to get The Deep and A-Train back into the 7. Instead they were trying to form their own 7 with members who are looking for payback. I haven’t read the comics but I’m somewhat familiar with them. In the comics the parody of the avengers is a team led by Stormfront called “Payback.” Looks like maybe we are looking at the beginning of this shows version of Payback. The show isn’t exactly the same as the comics so they could easily use that idea in a different way. Plus A-train is clearly looking for payback, and whether the deep knows it or not he’s helping Maeve get payback. Maybe the church along with The boys are going to be our only hope against an “Army of Supermen”
Yep, this video is wrong when it claims' the Church of the Collective have two member of the Seven in their cult. What they have are two ex-members of the Seven. With Annie dead set against the Deep rejoining the team he has no chance - Maeve's plans and promise to re-instate him are independent of the Church and are obviously ultimately going to go the shape of the pear. And with A-Train's clear inability to perform plus the fact the Seven are now run by Adolf & Eva means he ain't getting back in either. I believe the Church simply wants it's own team of supes, and even ex members f the Seven have a very high celebrity status and public profile. And what's with the Fresca?
Theory: I think that after the nazis lost the war, stormfront stayed hidden with the help of her husband and his company, but she decided that the world should be dominated by the supes and the normal humans should die (So she have a similar goal to magneto, but an opposite back story). Before she decided that, she began to create an army, it was small and its members were from a church: the idea was to bring the nazi ideology inside the US, but for some reason it didn't work and the church accepted non white members (that's why she calls the Deep an idiot for join the church, but says to A-train that once "it was a pure place, before they started to accept everyone") later that church became the church of the collective.
After that, she started to think that the problem was the fact that normal humans are weak and supes (but mostly whites supes because she still a nazi after all) are the future, so she started to create her own army of supes with the help of Edgar: He is a black man, but since he have a lot of power and influence over the World, she will allow him become a super and have a place in her new world when the compound V becomes stable in adults (after all Frederick was accepted as an America "like Disney and Edison" so why not Edgar as a "pure super") she said her self she had to change a lot so she doesn't like Edgar but tolerates and works with him. After all, it would be very hard make a new economic system, so why not use the already existing one and only take over the government.

Is it just me or was Starlight quite casual and composed even after Howie was badly wounded ? Felt she would be more invested in trying to save him rather than make more conversation with Butcher! Hell , she is even the one that suggests - what about the others? Her character arc and overall motivation / morals seem a bit all over - dontcha think?
I think Stormfront is operating her own version of Hydra inside of Vought. I'm pretty sure Edgar is just using her as a pawn and see what she's doing.
I think Homelander and stormfront are a mew/mewtwo situation. She didn't give birth to him but her dna was almost definitely used to create him. Maybe something in her blood was the key to stabilizing the formula.

They were both given it as adults. Kimiko was one of the survivors as an Adult with Compound V and her brother says something to the effect of "they only had one more dose, and they gave it to me, because they know that it worked for you, so they assumed it would also work for me"
If I remember correctly this line is on the scene with the boat when they talk together, but maybe it was before that

I thought she would kill someone on the finale and that would be like her first taste of blood and set up a slow heel turn for her in future seasons. But this works too. I also Black Noir doesn't kill her because they fight in the trailer.

I have a theory that Compound V isn't normally transferable through genes, I think usually a Supe can't pass on his/her superpower abilities to his/her biological offspring. This makes Homelander's kid special and its the reason why the kid and Becca are in a non televised version of The Truman Show, he's possibly the first person to be BORN w/ Compound V in his genes.
We see Stormfront's inability to age didn't pass on to her daughter, and I can't help but wonder if she's trying to get knocked up by Homelander in the hopes of producing a "Perfect Child" or something.
I also think that maybe Mr. Edgar is actually Vought somehow; that he somehow used Compound V or maybe good old fashion cosmetic surgery to change his appearance.
I got that feeling way back in episode 1 or 2 when he was explaining the 'real story' of Vought's life, not the autobio book version.
It kinda fits w/ Stormfront the Neo-Nazi being of Jewish origin, perhaps he chose to do the reverse and change into an unassuming, complete opposite physical form to not only seem less intimidating but to hide the fact that he's still alive. It's tin foil I'll admit but it's a fun idea ya?

2. Homelander didn't burn Stormfront trailer, he burned his own trailer.

Agree with your points BUT i do think she left the man to die even though she did not kill him DIRECTLY. We saw him bleeding out slowly from the back of his head on the ground, yet she never thought of fixing his wounds like she did for Huey & there is a high chance that he died from slowly bleeding out with no one to save him, since he said b4 dying that they were in the middle of no where.
Regarding Edgar and Stormfront: I think people are overthinking it. I think it's as simple as this: Edgar is a businessman. A cold-blooded businessman, the epitome of soulless capitalism, money stripped of any meaning, justification, or ethos. The Boys serves as a critique of modern American culture, and business interests of *long* rallied behind white supremacist politicians and agendas, either passively or actively (see, Facebook), so long as it fit their bottom line. Edgar likely doesn't care for Stormfront's overt racism-- he likely doesn't care enough even give it thought. Stormfront might have her own agenda, but Edgar, arrogant businessman that he is, can't seem to fathom the importance of ideology at all, and thus sees her nature as an annoying burr on one of his tools. They're using each other, playing chicken with devastating consequences for the general public.
Cold businessman or not.... how can you work with someone who will kill you when they get what they want?

I like that the Boys are taking an Oedipal approach to Homelander's character. I mean, he literally killed his father, who for all intents and purposes was Dr. Vogelbaum, and slept with his mother, who I believe is probably StormFront.

When Stillwell slipped up about Becca and the baby, Homelander tells Stillwell, in the final episode before he kills her, that he went back to Vogelbaum and "squeezed the truth out of him". I assume that means Homelander killed him after the Dr. told him the truth, but I could be wrong. Given his track record with people who lie to him, I assume Homelander killed him.

No actual evidence on the show, just innuendo, especially the convo she has when she reveals the truth to homelander. It may also be the tie in with the comics Stormfront character.
It’s the way she’s gazing at him with maternal pride when she talks about how he’s exactly what they wanted and they’re so proud of how he turned out (I’m paraphrasing, but even the words she used in this scene we’re coded as “maternal”).
Add that to the timeline of when she disappeared from public life and his “‘mommy” fetish, and you’ve got yourself a reasonably credible working theory.

Lamplighter gave the excuse to Stormfront that the dr screwed up Cindy's dosage, so to me that means they keep her drugged up so she can't concentrate. Then maybe having her door blown open snapped her out of it and she was finally able to use her full power. Just a thought. They also could have just completely overlooked it.

I'm sure it's been said, but the fact that Iceman from X-men is now a knock-off version of his arch nemisis, Pyro, down to the fidgeting Zippo lighter, is pure irony.
What I personally find interesting is that more than one of the super-terrorists we see on-screen has had some form of telekinetic power. First Kenji, then the super Homelander killed, then the test-subject Lamplighter incinerated, then Cindy, then the patient that incidentally injured Hughie with that shockwave. It could simply be coincidental that the power resurfaces in both the super-terrorists and Sage Grove test subjects

I think some if not all the time that Stormfornt has been missing is she took care of her daughter Claire because of her condition of having Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's is a very slow working disease and Stormfront may have wanted to spend as many good years as possible with Clarie . Plus when the disease did get worst not have her daughter being in some kind of home and so decided to take care of her child.
Notice how in the hospital bed scene, Hughie's nose is made to look really pointed like Black Noir's...

I don't think it was Cindy that Stormfront and Lamplighter were talking about on the phone. I re-watched episode 5 and they definitely refer to whoever they're talking about as "he" and "him."
My theory is that Stormfront and Edgar are working together to make Compound V stable either 1) to sell, 2) to produce more heroes, or 3) to produce more terrorists. This being said, I think Stormfront will try and betray Vought by using the supes to enact the coupe from the comics. Starlight will be the one to kill Stormfront.
Kind of ironic that Mr. Iceman from X-men took on the role of Lamp Lighter and even uses the cigarette lighter like his enemy from X-men
