2:51 I just got “What People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” & “AM” on vinyl yesterday. Both are great albums and will definitely introduce my girlfriend to this band. My favorite songs are “A Certain Romance,” “505,” & “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” I was introduced to the Arctic Monkeys after I watched “Submarine” over a month ago. I will be getting that soundtrack (which my girlfriend liked) on vinyl soon.
looove & love Submarine too!! I watched it a couple of months ago & really enjoyed it. I've recently bought the soundtrack on vinyl & would also recommend! I hope your girlfriend is also a fan. 😊
Hi Jemima, really nice collection! A lot of iconic and classic albums, and anyone who has more than one album by the Strokes and Radiohead is cool in my book
I saw In Rainbows on the thumbnail so I clicked. I saw The Stranger in the video so I stayed. I saw Songs From the Big Chair so I subbed. On a serious note though, Elijah Hewson of Inhaler is the son of Bono from U2. I have no idea if you'd like U2 or not but growing up in the UK the chances are you would've heard some of their hits (Vertigo, Beautiful Day, With Or Without You) on the radio at some point or if you have an iPhone you probably have Songs of Innocence on your Apple Music. Just wanted to suggest them in case you do end up liking them. In terms of full albums their most popular are probably The Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby or The Unforgettable Fire. Enjoyed the video overall though it's a neat collection you have.
i'm sorry that it's taken me so long to get back to your comment! i wanted to give it the proper time of day... growing up, my older brother was a big U2 fan so i am familiar with some of their more popular tunes. since receiving this message i have made it my goal to listen to their entire discography!! i am only about 4 albums in but very much enjoying my time so far & have you to thank for this experience. 😊 i'm glad you enjoyed the rest of the video too!
Great collection and enjoyable video---I watched this one and your recent update. I also have and enjoy Rumours, Is This It, AM, In Rainbows, A Moon Shaped Pool, Songs from the Big Chair, and Tapestry.
Hi Jemima. great video, I love the variety of Vinyl Lps you own, i will certainly look into the music of Julie Byrne. I would say Sting Lps are more rarer than the Police Lps.
Great selection of wax! .. star treatment & sculptures of anything goes from arctic monkeys + ode to the mets from the strokes are all bangers- agreed!
That Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown album is superb. Give it a listen! If you like Françoise Hardy, try to track down her first LP (Vogue LD 600-30). I have an original copy and love the track 'Le Temps de L'amour'.
we love the peanuts christmas album! we listen to it every holiday. i would like as much françoise hardy on vinyl as i can get so i’m picking it up whenever i can. 😊 thanks for your recommendation!
Hi Jemima - The TH-cam algorithm led me here & I liked 👍 & subscribed. That Mazzy Star is one of my favorite 90's albums. Hope Sandoval has such a beautiful voice. Love a track she did with Massive Attack called Paradise Circus. I think In Rainbows is the best Radiohead album with OK Computer a close second. Look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thanks 😊
Interesting collection...surprised no Taylor Swift or Olivia Rodrigo...and you don't have Lana's latest, Do You Know There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard...not a Strokes fan though, sorry...
i’m not the biggest fan of either of those two… i have vague interest in buying folklore & evermore. i like olivia rodrigo’s debut album but i don’t think i’d need it on vinyl when i only buy my favourite albums on this format. i do have lana’s latest album but it hadn’t released when i filmed this video. shame about the strokes!
@@JemimaRose well regarding the Strokes, I have to hate em on principle, they were the worst of the crop of bands that came out of downtown NYC's scene at the beginning of the 00s...I know cuz I was there...the better bands were the Everyothers, Fictura, the Star Spangles, Lava Baby & more, but the Strokes got the glory & publicity...to be honest I thought they were kinda terrible, Is This It was kinda OK though & that cover was pretty iconic, the song "NYC Cops" was pretty controversial with 9/11 having happened, it was removed off the US version...and lastly, in 2004, there was a great festival called Little Steven's Underground Garage Festival with an amazing lineup, old & new, and the Strokes were sandwiched between the New York Dolls & Iggy and the Stooges...well, the Strokes just killed the mood and atmosphere after the Dolls, they got booed and then proceeded to act like spoiled brat punks who were thrown out of a bar & whined about it & tried to get back in...both laughable & pathetic...then the fest picked back up with a killer final set by Iggy Pop and his merry band of miscreants...so yeah, not a Strokes fan but I have my reasons...and with Lana, I have everything, but on CD, even the debut before Born To Die, and the one vinyl I have of her's is the Urban Outfitters exclusive of Norman Fucking Rockwell with the alternate cover, unedited titles of songs & album and pretty in pink vinyl...I will get 1 coloured variant of the others, including Chemtrails, the alternate cover of the night image & blue vinyl for Record Store Day...I also have the German CD boxset of Born To Die (The Paradise Edition) with BTD & Paradise together in a lovely cardboard gatefold CD wallet, a disc of remixes, a DVD of videos, 4 photo prints & picture 7 inch vinyl of her cover of Blue Velvet...it's a stunning piece...and with Ocean Boulevard I have 3 different CD variants/covers, will prob get the Target vinyl if to choose 1, with the black & white cover, red lettering & "dark pink" vinyl...which wouldn't that be ummm, red?? LOL...as for Taylor, I collect her stuff, same with now Olivia...
@@JemimaRose lastly, SOUR is quite good but GUTS is way superior, more balanced with catchy loud bubblegrunge rockers...SOUR was a little too ballad-heavy IMO
@@abzzzfabzzz7149Hahaha little man I am not exactly one who you would say 'acts on his feelings'. But I guess I'm not simping after her to get her attention. What about you?
I think that person was saying that there are nicer ways of telling me that! but I’m sorry that you found it irritating. I have had this comment a couple of times already on this video & have recommended that others watch on 0.75x instead so maybe that would work for you too! anyway, thank you for watching. 😊
I am someone who understands basic human decency. You don’t know what people might be going through behind closed doors; mean, unnecessary comments can truly ruin someone’s day. I’m just trying to make you aware that yes, you might have issues with the way someone speaks but that does not mean that you need to tell them that. It’s cruel and immature. I’m sure you have better things to be doing with your time than ruining someone’s day.
@@abzzzfabzzz7149 no😀, you're simping. If a TH-cam channel has faults you are doing them a favor pointing them out, and you are doing them a disservice by not doing so. Some of us didn't slide through life with participation trophies, we actually got grades.

i have! they actually arrived in the mail on the day i filmed this video.
thank you for the new music
Good stuff. I recommend Francoise Hardys Message Personnel if you can find it. Its a little different from her earlier work but still awesome.

Very cool collection! But why are you suddenly in my recommendation?)
if you thought it was cool then i guess youtube was right in recommending it to you. 😉
is it ridiculous for me to pay $60 for an iconic smiths album? Also great video❤❤
some of these cost around that so who am i to say that’s too expensive! 😂 go for it if you can afford it!! & thank you! 🤍

no punk? That's a cryin' shame.
