I'm new to collecting boutique blu rays (started New Year's Eve), and this video was awesome. I'd love to see a more in-depth review of the Mill Creek VHS blu rays. After seeing them here earlier today, I immediately went and ordered a handful.
You have very good taste in classic movies. Your collection is the closest to the collection that I have. In regard's to the Warner Archive titles the majority are MOD burned now and I look for the older pressed ones. So many of the older pressed ones are OOP. But I would rather pay a premium and get them pressed.. I just shy away from burned discs. I think the pressed ones would have a longer shelf life.
You're not wrong. Pressed is definitely better. However even if all they're doing is MOD burned discs I'm not going to complain too much because at least we're still getting these movies that would otherwise be forgotten.
As far as resolution the difference won't really be noticeable to most people (unless you have a very big screen and know what to look for). The advantage a 4K blu-ray would have is the added HDR and in most cases a better audio track.
