I've been watching her work for a few years now, and what always strikes me about this song is it looks like she felt it. She sings so many song...but this one, it feels like watching someone living lyrics not just singing a song.

When someone sings a different part of the brain is activated than when they speak, that's why a lot of people with stutters or other speech impediments will sound normal when singing

It is because singing can be done without thinking about words. When you're a "foreigner" you can learn a song in any language just by the sounds not even knowing what it means and if you're a pro singer you will sound just the same. Then you can try to actually learn the language and fail at pronouncing things right. It's just a different approach to speach.
I heard her speak English before, it took me awhile to realize that she’s not an American. But then again, Europeans especially Dutch, Swedish, and Norwegians can speak English very well. I wouldn’t be surprised if some even speak better English than some people where I live (which is Tennessee).
