In this tutorial, I demonstrate three possible ways to fix the Blue Screen of Death Error in Windows 10. These three methods correspond to three of the possible causes of this error. The error message says Recovery, Your PC or Device needs to be repaired, a required device isn’t connected or can’t be accessed, and the error code is 0xc000000f.
1. Verify that the drive where you have your Windows operating system is properly connected and accessible. Especially if you’re using multiple storage drives, you should ensure that all the drives present at the time you installed windows are all properly connected and accessible.
2. Run a system restore. To apply this fix you will need to have a bootable USB stick with Windows 10 installation files stored in it. Boot from the USB and run a system restore or recovery as shown in the video.
3. Using the Bootrec utility tool provided by Microsoft for troubleshooting and potentially fixing errors that are preventing your computer from booting up.

Facing the same problem but i wanted to know if I could get the hard drive out of my laptop and use it as a external drive and get the files off it??

This helped me get to my Windows 10 PC, BUT when I restart I still have same issues. Once you are able to boot to your Windows 10 pc bring up Command Prompt in admin mode. Then type in "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes) and Enter. It will scan your Windows install and fix any corrupt files it finds. Once I did that then it completely fixed my issue. But I needed the instructions from this vid just to get to boot up to my Windows 10. Thanks!

IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM TO THE 3RD COMAND " bcdedit /export c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s", DO ALL THE PROCESES WITH "D" INTEAD OF "C" THAT WORKED FOR ME.
1.- bootrec /fixmbr
2.-bcdedit /export D:\bcdcopy
3.-attrib D:\boot\bcd -h -r -s

For people that aren't aware, there's a solid chance it's a hard drive malfunction. i got the same error, tried all I could and nothing worked. I checked the bios to see if the driver was detected or not. Had to buy a new one.
I have to much issue of trust on TH-cam while watching this type of repair toturials but man you just saved my time and made my PC back to normal

That last sequence of command prompts solved it for me! The way my problem was cause was my impatient self overclocking my GPU too quickly and it crashed then threw me into the boot loop. Thank the lord I didn't have to mess with a bootable drive and all that.

Thank you so much! I use both an SSD (for Windows) and an HDD (for storage). It turns out the HDD was set as the secondary boot device. I had to change the settings to make the SSD the priority and the HDD the last of all devices. IT WORKED!!
Lesson: When you add an extra drive for Windows, make sure you set it as the secondary boot device.
Optional: Don't just delete the Windows partition on the previous disk if you no longer need it for Windows. Also, delete the other system and recovery partitions created by Windows.

You saved my laptop dude..... HDD hard drive probably died (was already making bad noises) and because of that my ssd (C) wouldn't work as well because of the spreaded windows installation. files. Every video i saw didnt suggest taking out the hard drives one by one. I've have clicked windows restore in the repair loop and it wouldn't work and after i took the bad HDD out it started installing. It even worked as a hard reset for my SSD forcing it to work. It still needed the CMD portion of your video but i managed to fix it cause of everything. Thank you so much.

My issue is specific with a Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10. The device remains in the Windows blue screen showing "Setup is starting" at the bottom, and does not continue to complete a Windows boot. With the methods described here work the same for a Surface device? Can these or other methods of be used to accomplish a Windows repair without a keyboard or does the system automatically allow the use of the touchscreen, perhaps including an onscreen keypad? Also, would not having a keyboard connected during Windows boot cause or result in this Windows boot issue? Can an automatic repair be done or initiated without a keyboard? Can any USB keyboard be attached to accomplish the Windows fix and repair methods?

Thanks so much for the feedback, it means a lot and I will consider your suggestion strongly. Most viewers usually just want to solve their problems not so much to understand how the technology works, also ´considering the need to make the videos as short as possible. Just had to resort to the last method and it sorta worked... I did all your codes and got to the end and it just gave me the same set up windows screen so I went for it and unfortunately had like 5 gigs available out of a terabyte so I had to clear the entire thing to get enough space but in the end it worked and logged into my windows account and it saved my background and pictures and all google tabs just have to re install every app and game and dlc...

Your "boot" folder is probably on a different partition. try D:\
You need to check if C is the letter assigned to your usb, for exaple mine would be E, so I would replace it with E

My PC states: Total Identified Windows Installations: 0 Literally it is gone. What could cause this? All I did was routinely restart my PC in this morning and it did not. It kept looping in the blue screen, trying to diagnose. I usually power it down and restart it after putting it in sleep mode after a few days. However, when I type in the command attrib c: \boot\bcd -h -r -s it says file not found - C:\boot\bcd and for the command ren c: \boot\ bcd bcd.copy it says the system cannot find the file specified. It didn't work for me but I did something that worked. I reset my Bios settings then I didn't get the Blue Screen next boot. Hopefully it works for some of you

If you run Windows 10 and 11 on the same PC, and you removed one of the operating systems by taking out the storage device this also pops up because it's trying to boot in the operating system that you've removed

I watched 2 of of tour videos and none of the methods work.mine wont let me boot into window at all and keeps making me restart into the blue screen of death pls HELP😭😭

Check that your boot drive containing your operating system is connected correctly. I did all this diagnostics just today and found out only after trying to reinstall windows 10 that my SSD wasn't being read at all. I check all the cables and found out definitively that the problem lay with the SSD itself. I am going to a repair shop tomorrow to make certain and hopefully they can recover my data including the OS to a new SSD.

I figured out the drive my bootable USB was connected to but all that just for it to show me "the system cannot find the path specified" at the very end :( any fixes?
