Perhaps the bulk of the reason Dennis was not given a contract was due to David's passive position on it. The Aimtron negotiators would likely look to David, their API head, to up-sell or quash the necessity of keeping Dennis around. Without a doubt, David does not have Dennis's back. Everyone who has been terminated or laid-off from API will likely live a better existence working elsewhere.
I still don't get why they would have stopped Dennis next project if it was further along. I would have though Whitewater 2 would have been a priority versus BBq
