bought this game at the end of 2006 thank god no touch screen mini game for placing bosses in seals. this game is great and i still play it? its after bloodlines but europe knows that game as castlevania: the new generation. because bloodlines takes place during world war 1 and this epic title is at the end of world war II. mis the days. so are games never made anymore
Same. I got it for christmas when I was only 7. I was never able to beat it back then, but using an action replay I was able to enjoy it quite a bit, at least, for a 7 year old. Eventually I got to the level where I could play through it properly and it's honestly one of my favorite games still.
Konami based the gameplay on other previously released game for the MSX system back in the 80s: The Maze of Galious. It is an early example of "metroidvania" game and feature both a male and a female character that you have to alternate to succeed in the game.
Order of Ecclesia still the king :D but PoR is hella dope too, too bad it's kinda easy and full of recycled assets (not to mention the disappointing anime style, yikes)

Ofc its all opinions and all but id say Design is less a reason why the game didnt end up as a classic over the story which is ultimately ultra generic by that point, with many reused assets that worked best with the other games

Having played all the Metroid style Castlevanias recently, I think I can say this one might have the best soundtrack in the series. There are so many bangers it's crazy!
Wasn't so difficult. Just equip the armor which makes any damage dealing only 10% of your health (and if you saved previous food and potions from already complete runs you don't have to worry)
