    The year is 2032, Stefano Ghisolfi after years of training has successfully used his propriety Re-Onsight™ technology to onsight and downgrade Silence. He renames it Loudness 9b/+.

      The year is 2031, after leveraging Alzheimer's research Stefano Ghisolfi has patented a technology that utilizes targeted memory loss to remove all prior information about the route, allowing a climber to give multiple onsight attempts. This controversial technological revolution has sparked large scale riots and major division between the camps of " onsight purists" and new "Church of Retro-Onsight"

    Very curious how Stefano with describe the crux of Silence vs Burden of Dreams. Adam and Stefano have both called the Silence crux "8C" but it seems unlikely that Stefano would fail to send an 8C in a 10 day trip given his recent bouldering performance. He arrived prepared for elite bouldering and with the beta already solved from last year's trip. If he doesn't send the crux 1 this trip, could it be harder than 8C? Adam also called the crux 1 of silence "for sure one of the hardest boulders I have ever done" and he's done several 8C+ before which throws the difficulty into question. Adam later established Taurus which he described as "definitely 8C+ boulder problem" but he gave the grade 9b. Stefano, does Silence contain the hardest moves of any sport climb, or are there some other factors that give it the highest grade?

    • @TrackpadProductions
      @TrackpadProductions ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is worth noting, Adam has only ever climbed 4 boulders graded 8C+, according to his 8a page. He could definitely have done more if he wanted, but his achievements mostly lie in sport climbing. _"One of the hardest boulders I've ever done",_ in Adam's case, could certainly apply to a really stiff 8C. And I'm pretty sure Stefano's hardest boulder ascent is 8B+ - considering how unusual Silence's climbing style is, 8C isn't that hard to believe, IMO

    • @La0bouchere
      @La0bouchere ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrackpadProductionsAlso the Silence crux looks like it benefits a lot from reach, which would cause it to be harder for Stefano.

    • @fawkes__
      @fawkes__ ปีที่แล้ว +4

      how would it even be possible? just one climber once managed to get through the V14 (?) crux from the bottom after 5 years of effort. And 2 climbers made it on burden after being rested. It is so far from reality that you couldn't even consider a grade because it is far off scale. Imo :)
