- In these last days, the first crux of Silence made very clear to me what it means to climb 9c. This 5 meters section of the route is full of powerful, precise and weird moves. Tackling them one by one appeared to be a very slow and consuming process.
Thankfully, it's a pleasure to have Adam Ondra here in Flatanger, with whom I can share thoughts and suggestions about the route he climbed 5 years ago.

I think overall the commentary is absolutely beautifully put together in this video.

Pete also tried out the jamming part of Silence, so I guess Stefano was specifically asking for the beta he used.

The added humor, in-the-moment commentary, awkward cuts, and Kubrick reference takes these short climbing videos to high quality entertainment. I love pure, hard climbing, but these videos are getting better and better every time. Thanks to everyone putting it out there!

Shout out to the people filming and editing: the sound design, the colours, the pacing, just everything about the video quality is beyond anything I’ve seen such a small crew do!
Adam's crew are very talented people in cinematografy to me it looks like they had theirs part in this :D

Adam is like an accomplished, wise master selflessly sharing wisdom to the up-and-coming successor so he can be surpassed.
Stefano is 13 days younger than Adam. I think this makes it even more epic of a journey, because Stefano started on plastic while Adam was a full blown rock expert since he was a kid. Stefano is just catching up, and hes catching up fast.

The successor would have to be a whole generation younger while still crushing the limits of rock climbing (Redpoint, Flash, Onsight, Boulder, Comp, etc.), so that after surpassing them being young enough to expand them. Like Adam was to Chris. Perhaps a youngling out there will be...

After he visited the cellar, silence will be cracked. He will do it even easier than adam. Maybe some brand will also design a shoe so he can jam and climb the rest pretty nicely

Stefano, one of the things I love about the way you're documenting this is your humility and acknowledging that this is a team process.
Most of climbing media is focused on only the climber. Even when other people are interviewed, they're talking about the climber. And that's okay--not everyone even wants to be in the public eye.
But the reality is that nobody climbs alone. And it's awesome that you're showing Adam Ondra and Pete Whittaker's contributions to your process publicly--not just showing them as hype men for your achievement, but also showing how their insights are helping you make progress.
How lucky we are as climbers to be represented by people like Stefano Ghisolfi and Adam Ondra. Such amazing ambassadors for the sport. Two of the nicest and most genuine seeming people out there.
What surprises me every time is that every move seems to take maximum effort. And then you have to do them all. In one go. Perfectly. And somehow, it does!
Thus far, I am not worried about a downgrade :D
finally pete gets a litte bit more appreciation for his incredible easy looking send of the first crux :D I am really looking forward to these videos every thursday ;)

@@lucaa4480 that’s right! I recall him saying about the first part leading up to the beginning of the first crux: “there were some holds I didn’t think any human being could hold “ or something like that..
Those last few minutes of try really sets in that “holy shit this route is a level up from everything else”

The videos realization is really going insane : picture visual, sponsors presentation, intro, climbing sequences, music, littteraly everything is going ham, that's crazy.

Wow, just one of the very few most exciting climbing videos ever created... I waited all week for thursday.. turned the light down.. full screen.. and then this, it couldn't have been any better. Interview with Pete about his beta, best and most detailed comments on Silence that Adam was ever giving, a possible new beta, that, luckily, includes the a fair bit of jamming.. all of which edited into breathtaking story telling. So fckn hyped!!!

Amazing video, it feels like when a video game you loved gets a perfect expanded remake. And you even see the main character from the original game, the O dog himself, to give opinion on what you do. And the production quality, music, amazing, I love it!
When I first saw the title of the video, I was thinking that you broke the beta and silence might end up getting downgraded. After seeing your new beta, that still looks like a 9c! Linking those that route together is going to be tough. Good luck stefano!

Stefano i started watching you immediately when you got your youtube channel and you consistently over deliver. This is one of the best climbing videos I've seen in a long time. I love seeing the multiple falls on every move interspersed with both Stefano and Adam describing them. It helps put into perspective how out this world the route is.

It seems to me that if Adam says crux 1 is possibly his hardest boulder, then he is possibly the only climber currently alive who can climb the boulder exactly as he did, then this complete boulder alone will possibly earn more than 8c, crazy!
