- Five years (of 35 years) after my ascent of Perfecto Mundo, I wanted to show you all the details and secret behind the ascent of my first 9b+, Perfecto Mundo in Margalef, sharing moments with Alex Megos and Chris Sharma during the siege of this iconic route.

I know it gets mentioned fairly often, but I love to see the camaraderie with Stefano and Megos and Sharma and Ondra and Bosi and all the other S-tier legends. Instead of cutting each other down, like you see in so many professional sports, these guys support each other and build each other up and are equally stoked no matter who gets the send. Just pure badassery all around 🔥🔥🔥
You saw the same thing when Will Bosi did the send of Burden, and Shawn was just genuinely happy that Will got the second ascend, even though he was "competing" with him for the SA.

Such a pity that we haven't seen Megos joing forces with the other top tier climbers like Stefano and Ondra for a long time. Would be so cool to have him back with these guys.

Old Stefano has a Bishop bouldering guidebook, that must meen he’s been there quite a bit. Looking forward to the Old Stefano episode talking about him polishing off all the classic Bishop highballs during the 2024 bouldering season. Slabby top outs high above pads are the best!

I can't imagine how disheartening it must be spending multiple whole trips failing at one spot. The mental game of top climbers is absolutely incredible

Conspiracy theory: the celebratory scream here does not match with his scream in the North Face video. Either it's all a lie or these sends occurred in different parts of the Ghisolfiverse.
You're right! You cannot hear Sara in the North Face video at all. Besides that he's also clearly wearing blue pants in this video (on the send-go) and black pants in the other video. I'm guessing they just fooled us with the other video and came back after the send to record some shots pretending that that was the send-go. Kind of awkward to have to pretend the screams after having already sending it hahah
I love the implication that stefano is able to time travel in the future, what other secrets does he possess?

Since Megos climbed this way faster, do you think at the time you climbed with him, he was considerably stronger than you?
I think it was the belayer, who made the difference.
Megos just seems to be an absolute genetic freak for climbing. If you look at specific routes he's shared with other top climbers, he almost always outperforms everyone for effort, even Ondra. He'd probably be climbing 10a's if he pushed himself like Adam, but it seems like he prefers chilling and onsighting 8c's all the time.
Bibliographie was just him being dumb about the beta, if he had it right he'd probably give it 9b like his other recent FA's on hard projects lol
Ghisolfi did Bibliographie quite quickly, I think quicker than Megos. Megos is strong, but I don't like his climbing style. I think, at the moment I am writing, in this order, there are: Bouin, Bosi (I am confident he will send Excalibur), Ghisolfi, Schubert, Ondra, Megos. Adam is not at his best. Megos is a training freak, I do not think is genetic. Sharma has a superior genetic.@@La0bouchere

Why didn't anyone even try to climb La Dura Dura after Adam and Chris? Ten years gone!
Janja tried it about a year or so ago, but I haven't read anything about further activities on her part. It would be super cool if this, as well as other top routes (Silence, DNA, BIG, …) were to receive further ascents.
