Bird moms can be very violent and protective, I've seen little birds fighting with other birds because of that, strangers are not allowed at all at their nests not even near, honestly I think these men were really lucky that the mom didn't attack them, just look how she stares at them like "Ok humans I'll give you 5 seconds to leave my home or otherwise you all will regret it!". Such a beautiful creature and she deserves all the respect ❤

People dont know that but Harpy eagles are very gentle to be an Eagle If the mother was really interested in attack they probably will be in serious shit haha I speak by personal experience I Live in Panama my backyard is nearby a nest and we play under the tree, the mother is actually calm other birds are hella territorial when they have babies, sometimes we let them chickens so they can eat properly :)

We went buy birds in Tanzania, Ca and this guy had 2 or 3 of these birds. He wouldn't let us into the aviary b/c "they would rip you apart- they are kinda mean". He said he was always on alert in there. He fed them live chickens. The aviary was mainly expanded steel grate due to their strength. I saw that they had shredded the 18 wheeler tire that enclosed the water tubs in there.

Did she end up swooping down on them or were they all allowed to leave peacefully. And what does that guy do up in the nest normally? I'm sure he checks on the baby but what specifically does he do? But really, I want to know what the mom did. I'm sure she could easily get the men to fall right out of that nest all bloodied up.
i saw the latter part and yes, she did attack the camera man, probably wondering what that is. That's also why there's no more footage cuz the camera is damaged. Luckily all crew had ropes and bullet vest to protect them.
