Hunter and the Hunted , Big Sleep, and Someone Somewhere in Summer Time...the keyboards in New Gold Dream are great... i liked this band since i was 4 years old 1984....

For me personally the best track by a mile on "Sparkle". Like every other fan the 12" of this is just quite simply unbeatable! Really like this 4k version. Superb! Thanks Gordon. 🚀💚
At their zenith for sure! It was downhill from here sadly. Mind you when I first heard Sparkle In The Rain I couldn't believe my ears, so it would be hard for any band to match that. Don't get me wrong, I don't think SMs have ever done a bad album, it's just that those early albums were incredible.

Watched them in concert at the London 02 last night. Sadly they didn't sing this epic tune. Jim Kerr's still got a great voice but he was visibly knackered....

One of my favourite Simple Minds tunes, with simple but effective visuals.👍My only wish is that Forbes' bass & McNeill's keyboards were just a smidgen more forward in the mix.🙏I know that Gaynors kick & toms are an important part of the song & take up a lot of space in this tune, but...well, it's just a wish. 😎

@@el_wumberino I never criticized the song, just the mix. As far as the visuals, one has to judge them in context of the times & the technology available....
@@derekbaker3279 You are absolutely right. I judge it by the temporary context, yet I feel that the visuals do not correspond to the content of the song. I just find it very generic. And I am aware that you didn't criticise the song; I hope you did not feel offended by my comment, but if so I do apologise, I didn't mean to be rude.

One of my favourite SM tunes, but Jim is as uncomfortable in front of the camera then as he is now.
He rarely watches footage of the band and did not view the live at the Hydro Glasgow DVD
