You have no idea how long and hard I have been searching for how to remove the window aluminum trim on an E30 convertible! THANK YOU!
I am planning on trying to recondition the trim myself, rather than buying new trim (which I have not been able to find - especially that little 3 inch piece at the rear!).

Hi.Great videos,do you know how to remove the 2 folding top covering trims flaps (left and right part numbers:51431945355 and 51431945356.Thanks!!!
Good question, I will be actually taking the convertible top apart soon but I think in order to remove it you must take the rear door panel as it surrounds those pieces. If you see in the close up pictures in real oem there are like two clips on each of the plastics (that will remove the covers first), maybe try prying those out those things first.
