Nice work Antonio. I shouldn’t be surprised considering where you are but snow in August ?! Those huts look so cosy, I don’t know how you managed to summon the willpower to go outside again. I would have stayed till I ran out of food. That’s the first time I’ve seen you use an inner net, is it an AliExpress one ? I have a couple from them and they’re OK but hang in my face a bit. I got a “real” one from MLD and it fits like a glove - very happy. Cheers.
Hey James! It was exactly 31st August and 1st September. And yes, given the latitudes where l was, it shouldn't surprise you 😅 You actually never know what to expect when you go there (so better plan for the worst). At times, leaving the cabins and go back in the cold (and snow or rain) was just as you put it: truly demanding. What gave me the strength was thinking that either l continued the journey or the winter would get to me and prevent me from finishing the trail. "I would have stayed till I ran out of food." 😂😂 That made me laugh! l listened to the advise of a fellow TH-camr (whom l respect) on the Duomid innertent. l regreat l did. Now, either l deal with the flaws or (like you) l buy the one from MLD. We say in Spanish that "buying cheap is expensive"... The Germans say, "We are too poor to buy cheap"... My experience with this inner is just as you described yours (OK, but hangs on my face, doens't fit properly, etc.)... You never saw the inner because l had never used it before (that was actually the first time). Looking forward to seen the one from MLD 😊
