My family still has connections to our farm in the "Land of Warriors" Hadland Norway. Which is just north of Oslo. (My mother's cousin went there during WWII on a mission for the OSS, and met & married another cousin, and stayed. So we still go back to the family farm.) I can see where the strength comes from they had a harsh, sharsh existence during the cold ice age. So, after the lands warmed the population boomed. These subsistence farmers just survived during most of the year, they lived in a dark winter -- living off stored food, stored fats, and fasting. They had a couple months in the summer to make everything. It makes a person tough.

Majority of the population during the Viking Age WEREN'T VIKINGS. They were farmers and traders. @Sigtrygg Ironside Agreed. We are living in a new pagan era, where pretty well everything Jesus ever taught or stood for, is being discarded even by many who call themselves Christians out of sheer hubris and ignorance... and who vote for folks who have absolutely NO moral principles or Christ-like attributes at all. These are Perilous Times indeed.
@@altareggo Christianity is the only religion that can be discriminated against, and nobody will say a thing. Christians are being harassed and murdered around the world at alarming rates, and the Bible is being banned by many countries. Many people will call this a good thing. We live in a messed up time...

Marvelous post, and great coverage of the Polish-Scandinavian connection. You are truly gifted.
Just to add, genetic analysis of the remains of warriors from the Trelleborg fortress in Denmark show that a great amount of them hailed from Slavic tribes in modern day Poland and East Germany
Manx is revived, it is no longer extinct!
It is spoken as a second-language by around 500 Manx people

@@thedarquibus Welsh and Cornish are not Gaelic/Goidelic, they are Brittonic/Brythonic. Very distinct.
Cornish, Welsh and Bretton and Cumbric are Brythonic while Irish, Scottish and Manx are Goidelic.

Yes! Definitely. What eras would you like to see covered?
@@HistoryTime a tour of the crusader states at their height maybe?
