    I am so grateful for your wonderful tutorial of making mod canes, and am happy that they can also be used to make very complex looking lentil beads! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise with newbies like me and others who want to refine their skills with polymer clay! I would never have guessed that one could use the clay extruder this way--how awesome that the white, etc... will wrap around the extruded clay so easily!!! Your tutorials are so clear! I will definitely go into search out your full house of tutorials!!! I hope you will have a great day, and I wish you very well! Have a great Summer and Fall 2023!! Sincerely, Laurie from Daffodil Golden Trumpets Ministry 🤩💓🐢🦋🌲🍁🌟🎀🍀🦀🌞🌈

    Thank you so much. Sucha a clear explanation! I really appreciate your tutorials. Could you please tell us where you bought this square extruder disk? It is larger than the one I have and am wondering if this disk comes with your extruder or if you bought it separately. I don´t have your make of extruder- I have a Makin´s extruder so am looking for a large square disk to use with that. Thanks in advance.

    Ok, I am kind of new to using fimos and such and I see you well organized drawers..my question is are the all wrapped in plastic before putting them in the drawers so they do not dry out ??

    • @CindyLietz
      @CindyLietz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Deby, No, they are not wrapped in anything. The clay can for directly into the drawers. Oven baked polymer clay doesn't dry out.

    Hi Cindy, I purchased a LucyClay extruder that was just received. Haven't used it yet. But, I saw today that Walnut Hollow has a disk pattern extender set for their extruder, one of which is in the shape of a butterfly which would be nice to work with. Do you know if the Walnut Hollow Disks would work with the LucyClay CzExtruder? Your reply is appreciated. Thanks. Chris

    I love making these canes, but I have a problem with tiny gaps where the cane edges meet. Since the canes are small to start with, I can't reduce them much to squeeze everything together tightly. Do you have this problem? Any suggestions?

    • @PolymerClayTutor
      @PolymerClayTutor  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Terry Imbach Are you using a round die or a square die? The square will help with that.

    • @TeeBird910
      @TeeBird910 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      PolymerClayTutor I am using a square die. But I'll just try it again and really focus on making sure they're as tight as possible. Thanks, Cindy!

    • @JaneDoe-xl5be
      @JaneDoe-xl5be 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +PolymerClayTutor this discussion is a bit old, but maybe you'll still see this. I have the same problem with my extruder canes, even the square extruded clay canes have little gaps that I can't get rid of without ruining the shape. I have given up on any other shape as the gaps are even worse than with the square. I don't know that this matters, but I see you used Soufflé in this video, but I try to use Premo exclusively.

    You really, really need to invest in some lighting and video camera setup.... perhaps just a boom arms with the camera above your head pointing down.... with another small camera for close up work off to the side. Better lighting so everything is equally bright. Just a thought.
