Grew up on the North End in the 70s and 80s Old Town Rd. near Trumbull line. Beautiful homes and nice safe area. Glad I didn't have to spend my childhood growing up in those "hood" areas. Graduated from Central High School in 1986.
Came from Newport News Va and moved up here in tower 6... I honestly don't know how our crime rate is twice as much than it is here Bridgeport is in waaaay worst condition with little to no career opportunities than my city.
I was stationed in Portsmouth Virginia and as soon as you walked out of the naval shipyard you will find yourself right smack in the middle of the hood and they had everything from prostitution to hard drugs going on there kind of like being in Harlem.
Yeah I never noticed how fucked up VA was until I moved to other cities like bridgeport. Idk why mostly everybody that moves out of NYC come down to Va but we're definitely overcrowded with NY people
Bridgeport is my childhood.. I remember when I was in 6th grade. I got lost by Central High School. I walked into a store to ask for directions and there was a cop. I didnt tell him i was lost. But just asked for directions and he definitely helped me out. I shook his hand and then went on about my way.
I’m from NYC have many family and friends in Bridgeport they are dying for me to relocate to Bridgeport I refuse to I never lived in the hoods in NYC and I definitely don’t want to live in the hood in Bridgeport
I was doing doordash and i had to deliver to building 4 the minute i pulled in to park up 1# to memtion its about 9pm everyone was outside bumping and smokin next thing i hear is how nice my vehicle is 😆😆 i had to dip outta there bud
Back in the day Bridgeport had terrible projects but they tore them down because the crime was just too much. Murder capital of 1986. The projects you see here are one of the few that are still up. It’s called Greene’s and then there’s PT
Yo bro good looks on shooting tha video on tha greens that’s my hood tha hollow, just be careful wit tha way you pulling up like that.. niggas out there real grimey when cars like that pull up.. niggas start to get suspicious and lit em up. You should get P.T Barnum on tha west, marina village on tha south and Trumbull gardens from tha north next
100%, I grew up in the Terrace 60 year's ago and the Green's was always a dark place, drugs,. crime and violence was something we had to live with, heroin was the God that enslaved us but Jesus Christ set me free from a 200 dollar a day habit, a habit that I couldn't shake. The point is this, "as people in Christ we can rise above anything life sends our way by recreating our lifestyle and world around us; when we learn to walk in the light of God's commandments. Walk in the Light and trust Him who Died to Free Us from the consequences of our sins and bad choices...
Yes welcome to Bridgeport that's all you can ever get and if you really don't know if I live you search a 389 Atlantic Street and you find it on Google maps and with the red stairs you find my house okay now bye bye
Thank you for this. Bridgeport my home town.

Loved it back then. Cops walked the beat and knew everyone just about in the neighborhood. And you knew who they were too.
