Fall Trout Fishing Jackson Lake | Angeles National Forest

- In this video, I take a trip to the Angeles National Forest to chase some Fall Rainbow Trout at Jackson Lake. This lake was stocked a week before, so I wanted to give it a shot in hopes of finding some holdover trout. I never fished this lake before, so it was a fun experience learning a new lake. The water was more murky than I expected for a mountain lake. As a result, I had to use a bright color mini jig rather than a natural color jig. Therefore, it would be easier for the trout to find it. Despite the lake being stocked a week prior to this trip, there were plenty of trout left for people to catch from shore or on float tube. Thanks for watching and stay tune for more videos to be released soon.

I saw they were stocking today, or do they stock the week of 8/04 ?? Is there anyway to know if they stocked it ??
@@rubenalvarez6862 DFW has their schedule, but they will stock typically any day between Monday through Friday. Once in great while they’ll stock Saturday (but very uncommon). You can try calling Mohave or Fillmore hatchery to see if they’ll give specific date, but is unlikely.
@@SaTanBaits the website said 8/04 1200 am, but I doubt they stocking on a Sunday night, calling them tomorrow to double check
@@rubenalvarez6862any word bro ?
@@rubenalvarez6862hey did you figure it out?
@@Chris-ly2lh I called them but they couldn’t tell me the exact date for poaching reasons but someday during that week.. going Sunday since I don’t know when exactly the stock was
Cool video...Ive been there once along time ago...the lake was really small though....After all that rain we had in the past few yrs the lake looks great..I was thinking that place looks like a good crappie lake ...then you ended up catching one....good to know they are in there too.
