Welcome back! We are giving our bedroom a much-needed refresh today with a new coat of paint and of course some DIYs. I told myself that this year, I would challenge myself more design-wise and I just want to play with colors and patterns and have fun with it, so let's make some design magic happen and bring this room to life!!

As someone who lives in an older apartment with lath and plaster walls, please make sure that your walls will accept these claws. Mine do not. If you can't hammer a nail into your wall without problems, if you try to nail into your wall and hear plaster falling behind the wall, then you probably can't use them. Just a head's up.

Great job on this with just a few crucial changes. Wall is very nice and flowy. Like the contrast between the new art piece and the flowered duvet cover. Somehow it all works together really nicely.
I would’ve commented sooner but I just had to find those claws. I love them. I found them on Walmart in a pack containing three weights. I’m excited about this makeover

We’ve been using those claws for hanging up things in our new place because anchors just weren’t cutting it. Wish I had known about them sooner! They are so easy to use and I love that they come in various sizes to hold different weights.

I absolutely love those claws & have been using them for a while now while we were renting. They're the only way I'll hang heavy items because they don't leave huge holes in the wall. Now that we own, I still use them! They're amazing!

I think your checkerboard artwork needs a frame or at least paint the edge black. It just needs delineation from the wall.

Maybe this is a weird suggestion, but for some reason I feel like the art would look more at home being off center. Idk something about the whole thing says asymmetrical to me. Maybe to add more visual weight to the right and balance out the little tree in the corner? Maybe to contrast the exact grid in the art itself? Like I said, idk lol

I love the new room design but the only thing that concerns me is the wood picture resting on the headboard. In a California earthquake that will hurt when it falls on you in the middle of the night. Is there a way to anchor it to the wall for safety?

What is the wall color you used?
How'd you get the crisp paint lines?? I've always seen where you can paint the base color to avoid bleed through but thar wouldn't work in this case
Use the Scotch blue sharp lines painters tape - it works super well to prevent bleed through!
Where did you get the picture frames?
Where did the vase you painted rust go?
The bedroom looks beautiful but what's with no pictures in the frames😊

Sorry, I’m not feeling it at all. You’re very talented but since your move to LA, your content and style have radically changed. I get you’re trying to have interesting, innovative content. And you’re brave to experiment. But aesthetically I’m not connecting with it.
I totally agree with you. I was a huge fan of Tinas Projects before. But I think the new style does not match this modern home. It would really look good in an older home/farm house/cottage.
I love the wall with the wall sconces and the bed frame, but the rest of the pieces, although interesting on their own, did not scream harmony to my eyes. All the decor elements on the bed frame and the walls appear very busy and haphazardly placed. The floral bedding would have looked great with a less pattern-charged baseline decor. I would have implemented some unified mustard or green or same stain wood as the bed frame elements. It seems you're in your multi-pattern-texture era (I first noticed it with your guest bathroom and office makeovers). I feel less inspired personally by what you do in your home, but it's good to see you embrace this side of you, especially when it brings you joy.
How do ya’ll have such weak walls that you can push a hole in to?!😱 We need a whole ass machine that looks like I’m going to war to just drill one tiny hole, lol
Ohhhhh😮 I'm not feeling it, either. I've loved your enthusiasm and know it's fun to experiment, but the print above your headboard is now the focal point which just jumps out and hits me in the face - it takes over everything. And, the lamps are so small that they almost disappear. The headboard is pretty, though. Still like your channel 😊!
I'd be annoyed if I were the next tenant to live there. Or would the owners require Tina to undo all her work?
I always find it funny when DIYErs label their videos making their “dream room.” Cause we all know you are on iteration like 7 of this room by now and there will continue to be updated probably until you move. No shade cause I’m the same way with my rooms, I just find the advertising funny. Guess that’s part of the TH-cam algorithm tho
