It definitely seems to have taken away the red, dark marks on your cheeks! Maybe minimized breakouts too. Thanks for taking the time to test for a few weeks. I just got this today.
Girl, don't forget to moisturize! Aha acids are extremely drying. When you dry out your face like that your skin will produce extra oil to make up for it, so just remember to use a light moisturizer after putting on exfoliating masks. :)

for anyone else that came here to watch a review, and decided to buy it; please remember to only use this ONCE a week! and don't make the dropper come in contact with your face when you're applying it. two drops is enough for each section of your face. ideally, you can just drip it on the palm of your hands first and then apply it all over your face. if you're very new to chemical exfoliant, or you just have very sensitive skin, you can apply it less than 10 minutes! (NEVER more than 10 minutes though) the steps are:- cleanse, pat your face DRY, and then use the peeling solution. afterwards you might want to just minimize your skincare routine by just hydrating your face and then moisturize. I usually just use the ordinary's marine hyaluronics for hydration.
@@WhereisYunoGasai yes, absolutely! for serum I just use the Niacinamide and I recommend using toners that only hydrates and has no harsh ingredients like salicylic acid.

I really love this product as well, it leaves my skin so smooth to the touch. ⚠️ But be careful! You have to use sunscreen (spf 30 MINIMUM) while using any acids/AHA/BHA while using this and a week after you stop using it!⚠️ And in general, always wear sunscreen even if you have dark skin or you’re not using any acids because the sun really damages the skin and make you look older.
Hii maam i am actually going to buy this but the problem is I am studying agriculture so i need to work in sun especially peak hours so can you please tell can i use it
Smcriti Mishra keep your sunscreen on hand and be prepared to reapply during your day. Recommended to reapply your sunscreen every two hours, but since you are hard at work just do it when you remember.
Smcriti Mishra You can ofc, but make sure that you’re using SPF 50 (with broad spectrum protection, UVA and UVB) and remember to reapply like every 2-4h. Protect your self in the best way you can from the sun. Like wearing a hat and sunglasses that creates shade for your face, or staying in the shade if possible.
You don't supposed to touch your face with the suspender(dispenser) because it gets infected over time allowing the bacteria to spread and make the chemicals in the container cancel out and malfunction after a while!
⚠️Guys disclaimer!!⚠️ this is an amazing peel and acne scar mask but please use this modesty, it is a very powerful product and using as much as she did is not the best for your skin! A little goes a long way since it is so powerful. As well as only using it twice a week. PLEASE DONT USE THIS EVERY NIGHT.
@@pavitkaursra6504 yea that’s fine! Just don’t apply glycolic acid or hyaluronic acid after this mask, I know a lot of people buy that pack of all three just don’t use them on the same nights. But what u said is perfectly fine!
I use this once a week and the SLMD regimen for everyday and both Together made a huuuge difference, definitely recommend the SLMD (dr pimple popper’s) brand!
I am 59 and this is great for older skin as well. My skin felt better after the first use. It stings just a little, but not bad compared to others. The more you use it the more you will notice a bright and shiny look to your skin. Dont for get the neck and chest area. The peeling is very gradual and barely noticeable, but you can see it in a magnified mirror. So dont worry about it drying out your skin or big hunks of skin peeling off your face. Your skin does look better, but I think if you combine this with some of the other ordinary products, you will see even more of an improvement. They have several products for acne prone skin.
I love this product! It got rid of most of the tiny forehead bumps that I had for most of my life and the pores on my cheeks have become alot less noticeable. I do have to make sure that I moisturize though. Also helped fade some mild scars. My results were over maybe 2-3 months I believe.
AHA is best for adding luminosity to the skin and fading dark spots while BHA (salicylic acid + others) is best for acne. I would suggest using a BHA acid more frequently and only use this this serum 1 once a week or once every 2 weeks. This level of AHA (30%) is strong and will help fade your acne scarring but you need to TREAT the problem first. the ordinary makes a nice salicylic acid serum (BHA’s work best when left on the skin) but there are also toner wipes and other options
Hi Jennifer. I'm 33. Struggled w/acne since I was about 13. I have combo skin, but the oiliness is excessive. Just wanted to share with you what has been keeping me clear as of late; 2 Vitamin A tablets and 1 Zinc tab a day, the ordinary salicylic acid in conjunction with neutrogena 2% benzoyl peroxide. Lastly, washing my face twice a day, using African black soap at night, and neutrogena salicylic acid wash in the morning, using the 60 sec rule minimum for each wash. (It is drying so please use a good moisturizer... I'm still trying to find one that won't break me out.) I've only had one new pimple in about 2 weeks, whereas before I had a new bump every other day if not more. Please be advised: I AM NOT LICENSED IN ANYTHING! Lol. Just wanted to share some things that have helped me when 4 different dermatologist couldn't. Best of luck to you beautiful! Sorry this was so long.

A very common thing with clearing acne is that it all comes out first. For the first month, your skin just kind of pushes everything to the surface so then it can clear up. If you keep up with this routine for another month, you should see much clearer skin! Edit: all information from my dermatologist, who recommended a chemical peel like this one that helped clear my skin
Nice video, but please don't put the dropper on your skin and then back in the bottle. You transfer the bacteria from your skin in the product. I wash my hands, I put the peeling solution in the palm of my hand (without touching the dropper) and with the other hand i spread it on my face.
I suggest you to use, the ordinary alpha arbutin then niacinamide after washing your face. Putting toner before these products will also help your skin. This combination works well for me. They are affordable too. Alpha arbutin will brighten and lessen the blemishes on your skin, while niacinamide is known to fade blemishes too and to lessen the breakouts. Hope this helps.

True! Arbutin is one of the brightening "agent" ingredient. Hence it will help with your complexion.... Niacinamide is also somehow a "thin" layer of spf in a way because it can also protect our skin from sunrays and also prevent wrinkles etc. also it helps in minimise the pores!

Definitely gave an improvement, i guess it's your other products your skin had problems with, I am acne prone but my pimples don't last 4 weeks with my current routine, the PIH is the struggle, tho
The results are good (you can't expect miracles from a product). If your acne persists and it is still active, do something that will target the sebaceous glands like phototherapy + using a retinoid (epiduo, differin or something with prescription because the active ingredient concentration will be higher). Although salicylic and glycolic acid are awesome they don't have an impact on the sebaceous glands which are the main problem when it comes to acne.

I just watched this youtuber name Hyram and he's very honest on reviewing products, and he's super informative and he go deep in every ingredients in a product and he loves this product! I'm totally gonna try this out and your skin looks glowyyyyyy its so smooth
i love this stuff! i use it two-three times a week and even after 2 weeks my skin is so much clearer! i have used it for a month now and my skin is almost completely clear!
Great video! I like that you did it over the span of 4 weeks to get accurate results. Thorough and well made. Also you have such a nice face shape and symmetry! :)
it takes like 4-6 weeks to notice a change for daily use but since we’re only allowed to use it 2x a week it may take longer, i’ve used it and my skin feels better than ever
For those who are planning to buy this product you can also watch Hyram's video about THE ORDINARY Products. He gives clear instructions as to how often you should this. You also need to apply sunscreen and do a patch test. If you're skin is super sensitive, you should only use this once a week.
Daisy lopez she asked for recommendations on what to use not a clarification? Also that makes no sense. The people who gravitate towards this the most aren’t gonna be people with already clear skin who just want clearer skin to to maintain clear skin. Since it’s meant to give you clear skin in the first place. To me that’s like saying a type of soap isn’t meant to be used on dirty skin. It’s just to keep already clean skin clean. Especially since some the actives in this product there are literally meant, made, and frequently used for breakouts like salicylic acid.
When I was a teenager I had acne and I am embarrassed that people saw me, so I decided to get a treatment online. Today I have 2 months with a treatment and the acne that I had disappeared.
i really love this product. i have acne scarring (not really any active pimples because i’m on medication from my dermatologist and it’s working pretty well lol). however, i called my derm before trying this and she advised me to do it once every two weeks, once a week MAX. and you really shouldn’t use this if your skin is not used to acid products. I have been using acids in my skincare for years so i’ve built up a bit of a tolerance which is why this wasn’t that damaging. this is a chemical peel that literally removes layers of your skin. you have to take extreme caution and make sure to wear sunscreen!!!!! also on the ordinary website it says under the product directions that they DONT recommend using chemical peels long term. (i would say they mean for years). that being said, this product really works for me. my skin is so smooth (considering it’s peeling off layers, that’s to be expected). and i think it really worked for her in this video too. obviously any product you need to use for a while to get the real benefits. there’s a lot of hype around this particular chemical peel and if anyone wants to try it go for it, but please please please follow directions and patch test before using.
Wow I can definitely see a difference in you're skin! I appreciate this video so much and how real this is! You put time and effort into it and I love that thank you 🥰
Im actually using it for 1 week now, there are no such difference but my face kinda glows. I happy it worked on u and i hope it would work on me too. I'll update if it worked on me. Hehe
I have so much respect for people whom actually give the recommended (AT LEAST) 1 month of use for a product before coming to a verdict or reviewing. That is what you're supposed to do. Yet, so many people will review or come to a verdict after just a few days. So frustrating lol.
@@randomperson-de1rs dermatologists. Peels usually consist of potent ingredients so any active acne, i.e. broken skin, is at risk for sensitization and irritation
I just checked and the directions say to use it on "unbroken skin" . So the way I understand it is that if you have a really bad active breakout you should not put the solution directly onto that spot. I did notice it burns quite a bit, when I put it over really bad pimples (the ones that kinda hurt anyways).
I'm already a big fan of The Ordinary's Niacinamide + Zinc. Tonight is the first time I used this AHA BHA one. I didn't used a lot like what she did, I just tried to apply small drops and spread them thinly on my face just cause I'm not that comfortable using too much on my first time as I don't know how my skin would react. I didn't really experienced any tingling (prolly because I only used a little). I will be documenting my Before and After pictures (for the duration of the first 2 months that I will be using this) and see if there will be any changes. I hope there is 😊
Same... I just used it for the first time and I didn't apply much of it on my face. I was really not sure how much I was supposed to put it on and afraid that It could burn my skin.
I agree with what some are saying, When you use a product and you break out it’s not a bad thing. My face is very delicate, all my years no product ever worked for me, it just made my skin turn red. When I used this product it caused me to breakout bad, not as bad as her but I did start to get new pimples, I thought it was bad but after some time they started to disappear and my face felt free, it felt like it could breathe again. After that I stopped messing with my skin, stopped using products and just started to wash it carefully with a bar of soap and I used to make myself a mask with aloha Vera . That’s another tip, if you do not have pimples, if your skin is not bad, if you only have 1 pimple don’t go and buy stuff like this. DONT go buy a bunch of products, these products are strong and can mess up your face. My cousins face used to be so beautiful, it was so clean and smooth. She had what many called “Glossy skin”. Her skin was goals, I was always jealous of her skin, she never used makeup cause she looked good without it. I wanted my skin to look like that. Then she got like 2 pimples on her face and lets just say she fucked her whole face up. She started using products from left to right and now her face is full of breakouts and they don’t go away, they damaged her skin. It has been almost 5 years and her face did clear up a little but it’s not the same. Therefore I advise you, if you don’t have that many breakouts don’t use too many products. Sometimes people breakout because they might not be eating healthy, because they are not cleaning their face, sweating too much, etc. You don’t need to buy a bunch of products. Now these products do work and if you feel your skin getting irritated, or start to peal off. I suggest you stop using it because that could mean you’re using it too much. So use it less. You have to take precautions when it comes to handling your skin specially your face. Just cause you popped one or two pimples doesn’t mean you have to buy a product and put it all over your face. It can just make things worst
It appeared to me that the product attained great improvement on your skin. Results were fabulous, and I am DEFINITELY going to try this. Thanks so much!
I think its more effective when u combine it with other product after using the exfoliator. such as niacinamide or mycin@clyndamycin (topical treatment for acne) . as i use clyndamycn ( i got from pharmacyst store ) my acne similar as yours conditions, gone within 1 month and scars are gone as my white head. its very effective with me . i used it daily as a primer before applyng compact powder with wet sponge ( useful for oily & sweaty skin like me) . i dont use foundation due to difficulties finding the right 1 for my skin so i just use pixy compact powder. ive tried other exfoliator before and it makes my skin thicker and hurt as it burns . but, even my acnes are gone im strugling with my pores which im tryng to find out the ordinary product can do/review.
Definitely your skin was more glowy after the month! P.S. the whole way through this video I was feeling so uncomfortable until I realised it was the music, so sinister and scary :(
Make sure you’re moisturizing after using strong stripping products on the skin. It’s important to replenish the skin natural oils. If not, it will cause your skin to produce more sebum which can clog your pores. Which would be counterproductive. Best of luck 🙂. You should try their Hyaluronic Acid. It’ll give you a boost of moisture.
i love chicken wings XO I suggest you use another product of The Ordinary line on your neck (which can also be used on the face), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% give it a try. 🚨Please make sure you’re using sun screen. You can cause more damage to the skin by not using SPF while using these products. 🚨Another tip: when using the AHA BHA use it once a week at first. If your still breaking out after several weeks of use. That might be a sign your over exfoliating your skin which can make you break out more. If your skin responds well then you can bump it up to using it twice a week. Good luck 👍🏼
I use this. You must follow directions. No longer than 10 mins on. It works. My skin peeled the following day. Try to avoid other active ingredients until peeling is finished, otherwise; Lizard Face! I moisturize until peeling is over. Must say, my skin looked amazing following morning. Use twice a week and guide by how your own skin reacts.
Omg please do not use it that often. This mask is super abrasive and harsh on the skin and will ruin your skin in the long run. You should only use is it once a week, 2 times at the max but it’s really not recommended. Also your skin is extra extra furnerable for sun exposure, so make sure you use sunscreen!

I really love this product as well, it leaves my skin so smooth to the touch.
⚠️ But be careful! You have to use sunscreen (spf 30 MINIMUM) while using any acids/AHA/BHA while using this and a week after you stop using it!⚠️
And in general, always wear sunscreen even if you have dark skin or you’re not using any acids because the sun really damages the skin and make you look older.
Smcriti Mishra You can use it! But seriously don’t slack off on sunscreen, if you do you’re skin can get worse 😳 because it’s being damaged
Everyone here gave great advice! My own personal advice would be to just do it at night. It eliminates the risk of sun damage! 🧡
You don't supposed to touch your face with the suspender(dispenser) because it gets infected over time allowing the bacteria to spread and make the chemicals in the container cancel out and malfunction after a while!
Jaime Alvarez true true ,you can’t touch your skin with the suspenders and this is available for any type of recipients with suspenders!
wouldn't the acids in the solution killl any bacteria on the suspender?
What’s a suspender?
Jaime Alvarez what if it doesn’t touch your face? Like you drop it on without touching
Stella Allen now that’s ok, it’s ok. The product should be on your face , never touch your face with pipette.

Imene Says hi I still use this 1x a week or every 2 weeks for the exfoliation it gives and to maintain clear skin.
hii did it help with the red marks??
I am 59 and this is great for older skin as well. My skin felt better after the first use. It stings just a little, but not bad compared to others. The more you use it the more you will notice a bright and shiny look to your skin. Dont for get the neck and chest area. The peeling is very gradual and barely noticeable, but you can see it in a magnified mirror. So dont worry about it drying out your skin or big hunks of skin peeling off your face. Your skin does look better, but I think if you combine this with some of the other ordinary products, you will see even more of an improvement. They have several products for acne prone skin.
Would you recommend any other products from the ordinary for acne?

You can't fade acne scars through AHA. And also, BHA doesn't always work for everyone's skin.
Omg I really wanna try these products 😭 but I'll have to wait some months til I can afford the shipping to my country

Lol.

You're not supposed to be using it on active breakouts and inflamed skin. Also this can be said towards all different types of acids.
What do you suggest using on active breakouts and inflame skin?
@@Rashmisoo that's what I said.
Especially since some the actives in this product there are literally meant, made, and frequently used for breakouts like salicylic acid.
i use this too! it gets rid of my texture. it looks like for you it faded some spots. your skin looks bouncy and juicy!!!

When I was a teenager I had acne and I am embarrassed that people saw me, so I decided to get a treatment online. Today I have 2 months with a treatment and the acne that I had disappeared.
What's your skin care products?
i really love this product. i have acne scarring (not really any active pimples because i’m on medication from my dermatologist and it’s working pretty well lol). however, i called my derm before trying this and she advised me to do it once every two weeks, once a week MAX. and you really shouldn’t use this if your skin is not used to acid products.
Your skin looks radiant and glowing in the end result I think this product is good for you skin!😍

Peels are usually for persons without active acne. Hope you’re seeing a dermatologist
Sarge who said ?
@@randomperson-de1rs dermatologists. Peels usually consist of potent ingredients so any active acne, i.e. broken skin, is at risk for sensitization and irritation
no its not, they're some of peels that were used specially to acne prone skin, and thats okay
I just checked and the directions say to use it on "unbroken skin" . Whenever something has a dropper you should not touch the surface of your skin with it because you're putting the bacteria into the container.
should i drop it onto my fingers or how? i’ just got it but haven’t used it yet for the reason that idk how i should apply it.
P.S. the whole way through this video I was feeling so uncomfortable until I realised it was the music, so sinister and scary :(
I ordered this the other day. I have pretty good skin but a little acne scarring so hopefully it helps
It’ll give you a boost of moisture.
should i apply this product on my neck as well? cause im afraid if my face getting bright yet my neck still the same 😭🤣
i love chicken wings XO I suggest you use another product of The Ordinary line on your neck (which can also be used on the face), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% give it a try.
