'You haven't grrr once' 💀
I almost spit out my chips at that. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
The “almost as dark as you” is a shared experience for all brown and black kids in white spaces😂. We all just let a collective groan
The wayyyy I would get it from Asians sooo often. Basically any group the prides themselves in having lighter skin tones. Traumatizing
On god!! So fnk disrespectful n annoying
Adults too. I've heard this in every office and school I've worked in.
Facts!
"For someone who smells so bananery...!"
WHAT?! 😂😂😂😂
Now I can't unhear that! Lol!
@@kellystigger9318 See yeah! 🤣
Shoooot ..
“ I love that for you” is something I use pretty often, and I’ve always been sincere 😂 and now I’m just wondering if everyone else has thought I meant it as a backhanded compliment 😂
Same!!! But it just takes one mean girl to turn any phrase to shit lol
Right I feel like multiple of these are actual compliments it just depends on the situation it's used in
Problem with that is also, the nicer you say it, the more sarcastic it sounds🤣
"Smells so bananery"😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
The funniest thing he has ever said, i had to take a lap around my apartment
I CAN'T with him😭😭🤣
FAM what the hell bananas oh my
Ok ok 😂
Wilddddddd! 🤣🤣🤣
James has litteraly said "I love that for you" to Ellis multiple times on the pod bro 😂
James went crazy here he had the whole club crackin up the whole time
0:29 Rem with the COMPLETE ick from the statement 😭
"You're so well spoken" definitely triggered me. Growing up, that's all I heard from Caucasian people in the US south. I was also considered an Oreo to my own people. Not using slang but using proper grammar and enunciation was considered negative. 🤦🏾♀️
SAME!! It was always the teachers! I used to hate that shit.
This is going on my list of "How to explain Crabs in a Barrel to my non black friends"
Same thing in South Africa when I go to visit family. Ironic thing is a lot of my family members who have never stepped out of South Africa are a LOT more articulate than me 🫠
I use to get that alot working at a call centre dealing with people in the US, they would be so shocked when I say I’m from South Africa. “Like wtf they teach us english here as well.” 🙄
I grew up in SA too, they used to say i had an American accent.
If I had a dime for every time I've heard, "You look better without your glasses."! Problem is, I can't see without them.
I also wear glasses and I saw this comeback once: You also look better without my glasses on.
Thai is literally the reason I switched to contacts cuz atp I gotta change sum😂
So you don’t actually look at all without your glasses
@@Katja-xy5zt No, I can't. Everything is blurry. The only way I can see is if the print is 100x bigger.
My glasses serve as protection from accidentally giving my number to someone unattractive. I'd only wear contacts for the baddies. Average looking can humbly accept glasses
4:21 bruhh Ellis' facial expressions 😭😭😭🤣🤣
😂😂 "How could they"
Yeah hahahH
Lil bro was shook.
They forgot "Oh, you're one of the good ones". I'm still speechless about that...
You’re about to set off so many triggers within me 😂 The unmitigated gall…
The high pitched “yeah” 😂😂
That bananery line had me cracking up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
For someone who smells so bananary😂😂😂
“You look good today or you smell good today” 😭
That 'Today'
James was cooking this episode 😂
That line "for someone who smells so banana-ery" Has me smiling like the joker! That's a try Jay-Sus not me!!
5:22 - listen to it. I fell off my chair LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"For someone who smells so bananary" is the wildest comment this century 😭😭🤣
I love how gassed James gets when Fuhad laughs hard at his jokes
“I love that for you,” the funniest 😂
I’m literally shaking after “for someone who looks so bananery” 😂
As a music producer, the 'music thing' hit me hard💀😂
james says the most unpredictable thingd ever lol
“Look I’m almost as dark as yo-“
*unrolling whip*
People always say 1:59 that to me “I wish I had your confidence” or I get “I love how you can wear that style of clothes so confidently” lol
James absolutely ripped this one 😂🤣
Yeah I’ve had that “I’m almost as dark as you” a lot too 🤦♂️ jarring 😂 I’m brown af so no Karen you aren’t even close 😂
Yup has that too, I just tell them at least mine don’t fade away and go about my day
What if... James comes up with same convo to Fuhad after Tenerife?
@@Caz8142 yo why do you sound so offended by that. Absolutely no person who would be willing to come up to you and say that means it in an offensive way. You find it offensive because you are deciding to take it that way.
I'm white - in Thailand a monk sat beside me on a train, held his arm next mine and pointed how I'm lighter than he is and proceeded to laugh. A monk, bro. Full outfit and everything.
Of course I saw him about an hour later playing on his phone. It's was a funny experience - also something funny to bring up when you talk about traveling
@@iliilliliiliilliliiliillil9137Yes, for YOU 🤣 you can’t be jarred about how other people feel, that’s YOUR experience. Come on chief this is not science hao. You typed a paragraph for what hhayi 🤣🤣🤣
You can come if you want. Like no I'm not going. You don't seem interested enough for effort😂😂😂
You're so well spoken. Watch how I hold my utensils. It's crazy!😅
I know Ellis be BEET RED in the face from holding in his laughter.
I nearly choked while laughing during this vid!
8:42 🤣🤣🤣🤣 this yeah was too perfect
Ha! I had a guy I was dating who told me I had this doppelganger who worked at the pizza shop near his house. Of course I had to check it out. I met her and told her someone thought we looked alike, and I could see the resemblance (but she was years younger than me) and she says, "that's sweet". Aww way to break it to me😂. I could feel her thinking wtf..
‘You look better without glasses’ like wow, I’m just trying to see
So well spoken 😭😭😭😭felt that
I am loving these clips .. if I don’t want to watch the whole episode again I come here because you guys are funny as hell 😂lol 😂I love you guys
"you look so good on dat pic, i didnt think it was you" 💀
Oh man the music thing, that one SENDS ME. I hate it when people belittle a hobby of mine.
5:22 why did it take me a second!! 😂😂😂😂
daddy fuhad is definitely having a sugar crash in this ep🤣🤣
When someone says, "You look better without makeup." What they mean is "your makeup application game is trash."
Some girls are really good at it and make it look natural. Others not so much. I mean, they don't necessarily look like clowns, but I hate that obvious makeup look. Like reds being too red, and the contrast with other lighter parts just isn't right.
You're smarter than you look. A genius even.
James was too good on this video😂😂😂😂
1:31 no when someone asks me do i think their partner is attractive. if don’t think so i always say “they are cute for u”
James I’m literally living my school years with you.. also I got you’re so pretty for a black girl🤣🤣
James went 3/3 on jokes in this clip🤣🤣🤣
My manager said that to me after returning from beach trip “look I’m almost as dark as you” 👀👀
I wouldn’t know whether I should laugh or feel disrespected 😂😂😂
Oh no... I've been an "i love that for you" girl 😂
4:37, ffs Katherine. Whyyy? Thou are your name not worthy! 😂
😂😂😂
How 'bout....... "Wish you all the best"
James nailed that passive aggressive “yea!” 😂
This lady at my job talked proper and her pronunciation were good as well i said " You're very well spoken " she was offended 😂
You look better in person … so my pictures are butters?
yes
I need some of what James was having that day. My man was COOKING this episode.
"You can come if you want" is literally my life lmao, whats so funny is they never asked me to go with them on their own, they only said "you can come if you want" if i asked them if i should come too. I always knew no one liked me in school ever and i never had friends, but i still wanted to go out sometimes so i went anyways. Even though i knew they dont like me.
Nah if they actually didn’t like you they wouldn’t have said that! They like you don’t worry!
Maybe they get the vibes that you don’t feel comfortable and it makes them feel awkward, so they want to extend the invite but not make you uncomfortable by doing so. Maybe have a smoke or drink before you go next time and enjoy being there. I’m sure you’re a ball of fun once you relax and come out of your shell. 😘❤️
There’s something about me that you know that I don’t 😂😂😂 when you in denial lmao
James is a problem! 😂😅😂😅😂 & I freaking love it!!!
This episode is 1 of the funniest I've seen James been back to back
Twin isnt an insult where I live. I call my best friend "twin" and she calls me that as well. Its just because we love each other.
"For someone who smells so bananerry"
I want to see Elissp's reaction 😂😂😂
A 26yr old black guy told me i was the first black girl he had ever been with and sorry but i could not process what he said. It was too much pressure 😂
Heres another 😂
My sons dad said he got with a girl because she reminded him of me ... When i found out who it was 😩😤 i haven't spoken to him since, its been 3yrs 🤣🤣🤣 it was a whole insult even my mama was pissed 😂😂
Girl 🤣🤣
"You're fr a angel fallen from heaven" so y'all just casually calling people Satan now okay 😭
6:27 my 6th grade teacher, was convinced i was nigerian, i called her out once cos she said ,”u speak so well ,u must be nigerian”… i was like bro have u heard nigerians speak, just say im dark and leave me tf alone😭😭
I am Nigerian, and when I left for Ghana I never heard the end of, oh are you from America. I honestly tried to think of what they thought Nigerians sounded like 😅. Whatever it was, wasn't me, but I sound Nigerian to me and Nigerians around me sound like me.
Also note😂😂😂I came back home after years to hear NIGERIANS ask me if I was from Ghana. I was ready to punch walls because what in the world is going on 😂😂
Abt 18yrs old I wore cheetah print suede leggings, chilling on the dance floor cuz another band was setting up, this girl tells me I could never wear those pants😭😭not picking up on the shade I said ofc u can….
Like I watched the pod already but the grrr spun me again 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I LOVE these gents❤😂
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, i am a muslim woman so i wear the headscarf. I work at a pharmacy, and when i help clients they literally sometimes say; your dutch is really good. Imlike: yea.. thank you.. i guess :)
I love this😂❤ thanks for the laugh
Fuhads watch game tho 🔥🔥🔥
My side hurts so bad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
“I’m almost as dark as u”
“Oh no shit I’m almost as white as u”
😂😂
In South Africa its "You speak English so well "...... I swear I'd be holding back a hot backhand🤬
lol my friend from there can barely speak Afrikaans. 😂 He always speaks English.
Fuhad's jaw just stayed open (pause) when James said, for someone who "smells like a banana"
No, because the "I'm almost as dark as you" was out of HAND in school. One girl did it to her friend, and I visibly cringed and said ew no. Pissed her all the way off. I'm glad I could make the guy laugh, though.
now I'm rethinking every "compliment" I've gotten
"ur house is surprisingly alot cleaner than I thought it was gonna be" I COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE SAID THIS RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GIRL WHO LIVES IN SAID HOUSE 🤯🫣 My jaw hit the floor and the home owner smiled and loved it like a compliment. Who says that? Ppl weren't raised right.
James really a comedian 😂😂
That dress is so cute but would look better on me...
That’s fight talk 😂😂
8:42 just 😂😂😂
I've had the opposite experience of "look im almost as pale as you!" like bro shut up like actually 🤣
The worst I’ve ever gotten is “I respect your bravery” when talking about my career choices. I’d much rather be told someone doesn’t like my choice of career. I don’t want to have to hear that from someone and have to act like it’s a compliment when I know they’re just waiting on my downfall to say ‘I told you so.’.
Wish i had your confidence
Cool thankyou wish i had your bliss 😂
Looking for the little girl who said 'yeah'😂😂
James your mixed tho 🤣
bananery was brazy brudda. that shit was big brazy yo...
I don't think that last one was intended to be a compliment 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The "you look better without makeup" from me is literally a compliment. I dont care what anyone says. If i tell a girl she looks better without makeup all im saying is she has natural beauty and doesnt need any of them chemicals on her beautiful face... I understand how it can sound like an insult, but it is NOT.
It doesnt matter how you intended it to sound like it isn't an insult, it still is. What you feel about that backhanded compliment isn't the general perception and knowing that, and still telling women that, is knowingly letting them feel like they've been insulted regardless of what you think of it.
Because everything James said about that haircut is exactly how it feels to receive it. You're telling them all the time, care and effort they gave to put into their appearance was a waste.
And as a woman who's received this before and know other women who've received this before, collectively we all agree 'literally who asked?' every single time.
The only time a compliment of this nature is fine, is if you're compliment a woman that isn't already wearing make up and you want to make her feel beautiful in her natural skin, not when someone already went through effort to look a certain way.
@@Cajun_Seasoning that's on them then. Not on me. With all due respect that's just being insecure
I thought I was the only one that didn’t care for the “ I love that for you” saying. It gives mean girls vibes. Idk
I went to a comedy show once and my brother was sat next to one wham geezer who turned his rotund self round and fully stared my bro out any time he laughed at a fat joke 😂😂😂😂
10:43 when i first got my glasses at 15 my classmate told me that and i have never regretted not hitting someone like i have with him
"I LOVE THAT FOR YOU" can be both good or bad.
I had a black friend. I came back from holiday and a mutual friend said, in front of both of us, "You're almost as black as him". I knew it was wrong, my black friend knew it was wrong, we looked at each other, none of us said anything. We still laugh about it.
"you got that mia"
I have seen a conversation happen where "you look better without makeup" was said to someone. And to be fair, it was true, but it was because the other person just didn't know how to properly do makeup.
8:28 I say “if you want” just to give them the option because I don’t want them to feel like they HAVE to come, I want them to come to have fun. If I ask someone if they want to come, I do want them there but I just wanna give them the freedom to choose. Should probably avoid that now 💀 in case I insult them
Jaaaaamess😂😂😂 first bananery then grrr
James yourself esteem was low back then to stay with a girl that said that to you. We love to see the growth
getting youre so well spoken from teachers in school in 2024 is actually beyond me speaking as a black kid
