  • This is a 9 minute walk through the Franklin High building to show existing conditions, and why we are looking to renovate or replace the facility.

There are no signs for the boys locker room, I've never seen the first generation apple computers used, most of the dented lockers are from kids purposely smashing them, many tiles in the building are very loose, our 'language lab' is terribly outdated using cassette tapes and old headphones, and the indoor track is falling apart.

It is too bad that a beautiful historical building should be torn down and just not remodeled inside and keeping the exterior. I drive by and am amazed how beautiful the history looks. You can get modern anywhere but not anything that looks as grand as it does now, It will not be Franklin looking modern and taking the outside that is so grand. My dad went to Franklin and this will not be the grand Franklin it was.Your taking away history of awe when anyone sees it. This is very sad.

90% of the issues this video points out are very superficial; lab equipment, ceiling/floor tiles, lockers- a major renovation would be much better suited than demolition of a perfectly good building.
The "typical hallway" shown is the basement hallway that used to lead to the woodshop (before it was determined they didnt have funds to support it, along with other art electives). It is not a typical hallway, and if we have enough money for a new school why are we getting rid of these programs?

i dont get why the discussion of building a new school is such a big deal....just do it already....built in 1971(38 years ago), the school is in poor condition and needs repairs
