F100 has good performance, just not on par with the Mig19. However, getting guns on target is much easier in the F100 when compared to the Mig19. That's why I'd say that the F100 is slightly more effective against subsonics than the Mig19, but the Mig19 counters the F100.
Mixed match filled with premium jets, and my team seems to get the ground pounding ones. Should be fun!

Just wanted to let you know that i in my nearly stock TA 152 H1 used all the knowledge you taught me and decimated two F4Us by using MER knowledge and baiting them into a turn fight. I kept turning in circles, did a very shallow spiral climb knowing how bad the Corsairs are in the vertical they lost energy, while I started at low energy, on the deck when they dove on me. Reversed the odds and killed them both. It was all because of you, Adam.

In some cases it's good to bleed speed, but you can do that with throttle/flaps. Better MER gives you the option of conserving energy.

they’re about even honestly, just different fighting styles. Mig-19 is a interceptor and F-100 is a fighter-bomber.
They are different so it's harder to say for certain, but still.
Air RB meta has always tended towards interceptors ever since the game came out.

Like Gay-jin hopes you failed to notice they gave us the (F100D) cas ground attack version of the F100 instead of the (F100F) fighter version, they have many loopholes and excuses to purposely put U.S pilots in a handicap, their spineless and biased
The comment about being strafed on the runway and getting a good amount of kills earned you a sub. I felt that pain having experienced similar matches recently (albeit with less kills).

Weeeeell, there are currently only 2 supersonics so "worst" supersonic isn't saying much. It's better for the people who can't aim the MiG-19, at least. Also, 1440p!! I was facing this thing in a custom battle and it actually seemed to turn pretty well. At least better than the mig-19. Can you see the local host as you are playing?
P.S. I figured out how to play the P-80 and it's actually pretty good at energy traps, with those great flaps it has. I also think I'm pretty good at tapping the airbrake, if I do say so myself. So that's a pretty big advantage, when done right. Currently the high-speed roll rate SUCKS but hopefully that improves with boosters.
Haha you figured it out! I'm just saying I think it's worse than the Mig19! F100 is probably more noob friendly for the aim, while Mig19 is more noob friendly for the performance.
Mig19 has a noticeable turn advantage over the F100 in my experience and tests.

The P-80 benefits greatly from new boosters, makes it fly so much better, you'll love it.

When I realized that carrying was a possibility I started being more conservative with my ammo, but alas it was too late.
My grandfather is a grand master in chess(not me exagratting...he really is ranked as a grand master) and he always talked about thinking of any move the opponent could even think of making. However until I watched videos from @Adam514 I never understood how somebody could do that. This Man's game IQ is beyond reason.

The f100d is good in his way , but i wouldnt play it because it is turning slow ,it is huge for a jet and it has a bad accelaration.But in your hands , every plane is good .Nice video mate!

Actually, in my experience the F-100 usually out turns the MiG-19, it can't turn with something like a MiG-15. But it is the second fastest turning tier VI jet. (Behind the javelin)
I tested both, Mig19 wins by a noticeable margin.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Odd, because usually in my combat experience, it's very easy to dogfight a MiG-19 in the F-100. Probably due to a combination of the high AoA capabilities of the aircraft at low and high speeds, large wing area giving superb lift, and the powerful engine.

Over 900 it might be close, but under that is Mig19 territory.

Some people ground pound as they have a stock aircraft, I'mma just gonna say that cause ground pounding helped me through the hellish grind of the f9f-8 banshee when I first got it, head ons where a waist of ammo as the spread of the 20mm is about a 5-7degree angle so you can only hit targets effectively at .3 to .5 I'm away, but since the f9f-8 is slow...
Your not gonna be close enough to shoot them unless they are stalling, so going for light targets until you get an upgrade like better guns helps.))
I know why they ground pound, I'm just saying it's useless to the team, and wasted time since you aren't getting a good feel of how the aircraft stacks up against other fighters.

Wikipedia says it is indeed subsonic, though it can pass the sound barrier in a slight dive.
Even in a 45 degree dive at high alt it didn't come close to supersonic.

I'm not a bad pilot But i ground pound all the time... why? because it is fun and i can 100% get more ground kills ever match to equal a few kills i cant always get 2-4 kills to match that research and lions. but ya it is also boring lot of times.
Ground pounding makes your team lose, just like in this match.
@@AdamTheEnginerd warthunder is by design an entirely selfish game. if he ground pounds every match he can get the guaranteed rewards of, say, between 1-3 plane kills every time. orrrrrrr he could try to dogfight and if he gets shot down first, he's just wasted another 10-15 minutes while he has to join a new battle and fly into the field.

One thing I've noticed messing around with voidmei/localhost is the "efficiency" metric, and "effpower." I assume this is propeller efficiency? It's an interesting metric, since aircraft with more efficient propellers get 10% extra effective power or more compared to aircraft with less efficient propellers.
Also, aircraft with larger propellers avoid the stall thrust problem because the propeller doesn't have to spin as fast to generate the same impulse, right?
The one to look at to strictly see propeller efficiency is "efficiency" on the local host. Void Mei shows Power and EffPower IIRC, so it doesn't show prop efficiency directly. Yeah the P/W ratio can be significantly different to the effective P/W when taking into account efficiency. High tier Bf109s typically have relatively low prop efficiency (75%), while the Tempests have around 90%. The prop efficiency also drastically lowers for some aircraft at high speed as the prop spins so fast that transonic drag affects it significantly.
That's partly right. Bigger props (as well as more blades or more blade area) can take in more engine power before stalling, and in aircraft with a sufficient prop size the engine doesn't have enough power to stall the prop even at 0 airspeed.

I’m somewhat “new” to wt and I bought the jet bundle and a lot of the stuff u talked about in this video is almost the same stuff the runs threw my head when ever I’m in a dogfight of some sort but the only problem for me is that I struggle aiming and can’t seem to hit anything. Any tips for aiming better?
If you're new I highly recommend flying tier 1-2, it's much more forgiving and the basics of aim do apply to the other tiers. Aim comes mostly from experience.

It's just mouse with keyboard input to make it smoother, and tapping negative elevator key during turns to lose less energy.

Btw, how do I tell the missile optimal range? It says a lock range much longer than 3km but you release the missile below to 2km
Lock on range is greater than the actual range of the missile. Range also depends on altitude. You need to learn how the different missile variants perform.

Ground pounding is when you go to kill ground targets, instead of killing the enemy planes.
Maneuvering Energy Retention. Essentially it's a measure of how much energy (speed) an aircraft loses when maneuvering. Different aircraft will lose speed at different rates depending on their power, weight, wing, geometry, etc. I did some tests and made a video explaining it if you're interested: th-cam.com/video/wLA8cspXbbE/w-d-xo.html

Adam I have a question, when you go head-on at such close ranges, why not fire the missile, I doubt they could dodge it below 1km.
Missiles can't lock on from the front, they need to have line of sight with the engines. Also even if I could fire them, missiles travel straight for around 0.5km before maneuvering, so it would be easy to dodge.
Worst supersonic? The F100-D is way more versatile than the Mig by a longshot. The F100-D can hold a large amount of bombs, rockets, and missles. The F100-D has loads more ammo than a Mig, and the Mig doesn't have as many options for that ammo either.
I'm talking strictly for air RB. Belt would be Air Targets for both.

G56 turns significantly better, I'd say G56.
I found that turning with the combat flaps don’t help at all, in fact they make you turn worse.
I think that's just your impression. If they truly make you turn worse, then there's an issue.
How do you display aditional info from localhost:8111/ (TaS, IaS, Vy etc.)? Is it displayed during game or somehow added for extra info to video?
What I do is I have it open on my laptop next to me and I record it at the same time as the gameplay, and combine them during editing. There is a way of overlaying the local host information over the game, but I've never done it.

It's called the "local host".
How to access the "local host":
You need to be running War Thunder or it won't work!
Option 1: on the same computer that is running WT:
-Type localhost:8111/ in the address bar and press enter and voila.
Option 2 (which also works on the computer that runs WT):
-Type Your_IP_Address:8111/ where you replace "Your_IP_Address" by your IP Address (192.168.X.XXX) in the address bar and press enter and voila, you can look at the characteristics on another device while flying.
do you know why i have map bug wehn i press M on some desert maps where map grid lines are buged and doesnt show corect location of my vehicle and when i zoom in with my mouse scroll its just zoom curent position and not whole map please help me i cant see my location on those maps.
I get that too, I don't know how to fix it.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Oh bro i thought its only on my end, its so anoying i dont know where i am, even and on heli tunisia battles. But seems not everyone have this problem idk what cause it. Thanks for fast replies
