I don't usually say that a review is good. But I would say this is incredibly great. Very spontaneous and straight to the point. I give a thumbs up!
Hey mike, great vid, but I think a VERY big deal missing on the vid was the ability to use MIDI gear with the iPad. I think that's a huge deal and advantage the iPad has over most of tablets, and even computers, since it is such a powerful machine.
this video is so helpful
This video resolved all the problems I've had for several weeks! Definitely worth subscribing!
Thanks for the hub tip, saved me from returning my brand new Lightning to USB camera adapter because I thought I’d bought the wrong thing because Apple’s own website is quite confusing. Now it’s working like a dream. 👍🏻😁
Great video, you showed every aspect of these accessories well. Keep up the good work!
We miss you, DetroitBorg!
neat video
one of my friends just bought the 4th gen iPad and I am sure she would like to see this video as it is informative of what the iPad can do with the usb and cardreader adapters
this adapter does NOT work, bought 2 diff ones, diff ipad minis....STILL doesnt work
guy who ones one said same, had to return it, doesnt Fing work
It's good to know the lightening adapter -> old camera connection kit method works. I was wondering about that. Though I have no plan to buy a new CCK (I have the old one), I might someday pick up the adapter. In the long run it should be cheaper, since the new CCK is being sold as two separate units.
I believe you explored this on early iPad but I have explored these options as well on Android tablets they work much easier with less peripherals great vid
Thanks, Mike! Very helpful. Thumbs way up & saved to my favorites.
Take care,
Tim
thats pretty sick... im getting an ipad mini for Christmas! cant wait!
Very short but comprehensive video, thank you👍🏻
It works! Just imported a beautiful picture taken in Venice with my GoProHero3 in my iPad Pro, using Aukey USB 3.0 Hub (model CB-H18)!
Mike you are the best unboxer and reviewer ever!!!!!!!!!! You are the best!!!!!!
Thanks for the useful demo! :)
This is very nice review!
Great video.... answered all my questions about transferring images to iPad, old and newer generations... Thank you
Thanks for this video. It was very helpful with my new ipad.

C'mone man
i desperately wait to see more videos

mike you are the best tech reviewer ever! ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video, really comprehensive and professional. Thanks so much
Thanks for clearing up about other documents not being supported. I know they are camera connects but it would have been nice to be able to upload word/pages documents.. might have to screenshot the document to get around this. Thanks big help.
i like your reviews very much for any unboxing or review video i will search in your channel first
and one more think i am planning to buy iPhone 5 which colour is best option according to your preference
Awesome video. Very informative and very fast.
Good to know. I have the old camera connection kit and may replace my ipad next year. I would just need the 30 pin to lightning adapter and I would then have a connection kit that would work with my old iPad 2 and ipad 5.
This video is what i really need ! thanks for your efforts, really helpful
Thank you! What about the large compact flash cards with large raw files do you have connection for this and could an i Pad cope with lots and lots large files out in the field. I thank you in advance with your time. Recently we we were out with our Camera Club shooting Street Photography in raw files, very soon I used all my memory up in my my Canon 5D3 camera. I then had to delete files to make way for others. What advice would you give me please????
Great, everything I needed to know - thanks!
Will it work with with my external drive that has external powersupply?
Great videos! Keep it up!
Wow, your CX160 is very similar to my SX45, although yours is much better.
Hey great video! I have a couple of questions:
Have you tried transferring RAW files from your camera with this? I've heard the card reader reduces file size, is that true?
Thanks in advance!
Wonderful video, can I also shoot photos on my iPad with this USB camera adapter connection?
pretty cool video man very useful
This is a great video. Thanks. Though have some clarifications -- can I also transfer audio, an mp3 file from USB flash/thumb drive w/ the use of a powered hub and not just pics? Or simply, all file from USB thumb drive can be accessed and transferred to ipad mini w/ the use of powered USB hub?
Wow.. Loving the expanded cable useage.. I may not need to bring a laptop to CES.. LOL
Can you sync photos and videos from iPad to an SD card?
Thanks for the info, like always :)
This device solves a lot of problems! Thank you so much! Life saver!
Go to 3:46 in the video
Definitely very helpful, thanks!!

Great video very informative!
That was very helpful. Thanks!
Thank for you awesome work!
Thanks for the informative video. One question: can i use a micro sd card with these connectors. Regards
great job! how do u buy all of these items?
It was helpful to see it!
Hey can you do a iPad mini full review? Thanks
still helpful even in 2020 😅 thanks
Thank you so much for this video that helped me alot
Hey Mike will you be doing an unboxing of the new ChromeCast? Cos i noticed you had one in your last video! I want one hope i can get one soon!
Will Apple update the Universal dock and iPad dock to support the new lightning cable?
super and very clear video.....thanks
great informative video!
Mike, you are the best!!!
I had that and it woks perfectly with my new iPad and iPhone 7
Is this device compatible with the new iPad Air ('Ipad 5' with IOS 7)?
And which is more fast in importing photos, a SD card or an USB adapter? I find that an SD adapter is more comfortable to use because the camera doesn't need to lay around the iPad, but what is about speed?
I was hoping it would work with my microphone. And now I know... it will work!
Mike. show your setup in your home to us. We would so love it!!!!!!!
Cool, last question. could you attach a regular usb SD card adapter in conjunction with the Lightning to USB Camera Adapter to avoid buying both?
it is amzing i really like but i have 1 question can we connect internet dongle to ipad 4 and use internet
oh it's so helpful video :) Thank you
Great video!
Very helpfully just subscribed
can it work on a usb memory stick with any information(digital books)
You made my day !! Gracias
Hey can you review the ipod touch defender series when it comes out i would really appreciate it. Thumbs up if you agree.
Thanks for your help
Mike when you make your videos could you say when your next video is coming out please!
Cool feature
there is a tons of adapters for android devices and they allow you to upload and download files from your android devices without any restrictions out of the box, not only photos and videos.
Search for micro usb OTG for micro usb. Or whatever connector you have on your android device if it's not micro USB.
thats pretty kool man. still contemplating selling my ipad 3 32gb for ipad mini 64gb. not sure about the screen though
very informative thanks
Why would you want to transfer photos or videos to ipad? Id export to the SD to put them on a computer.. doesnt make sense. Editing pics or videos on ipad doesnt make sense.
Thank you soooooo much . Keep on !
Would I be able to to use the USB adapter to transfer movies from the USB to the adapter? Would I have to use the hub? Great video
If you are traveling, or otherwise don't have your computer close by, and just want to show people the photos you just took on a larger screen than your camera's LCD, this would do the job. Editing photos on the iPad would probably be better than on the camera, but yes, the computer would be the best option if it's handy.
I want one of these adapters, but SoftwareHome below says it doesn't work in iOS 7. Will have to check on that.
With iOS 13 These devices have moved such a long distance........... incredible!!!
i don't know about this, until me saw ipad pro 2018 with usb type-c port .. I think the ipad with linghtning port can't do read and import file from extend storage (USB, HDD, SD carrd)
@@ninhluyen8675 the devices with lightening port when used with the appropriate dongle could do everything like iPad pro with usb-C...Already videos available on TH-cam...just search...Ty...TC...
@@AbidKhan-lr5wb Thanks you ! I have a idea buy combo IPad pro 12inch 2017 , Apple pencil version 1. I was considering about compatibility of lightning cable with another accessories like SD, USB .
really niiice video!
Thanks dude
So helpful!!
Thank you !
Thank you, but how do I transfer files the other way? from iPad/iphone to SD card?
I have an ipad air 2 and iphone 6 plus. I just wanted to know if the USB adapter would works well with these 2 devices? thank you so much
really helpful vid
dose it work on iphone
Solid Video Sir - You have many videos. Is there a technology for MicroSD card and Iphones? All the best
is there no way of connecting like a usb with films on it to watch on your ipad or do u need to save them on the ipad before watching them? would be good just to plug and watch your saved movies.
Cool man Borg
does the SD connector works with the IPhone 6 ?
Thanks again. It seems Apple has to make further progress on documents transfer to iPad or iPhone or iPod.
what i want to do is to dwnld pic or vidz from ipad to the SD card or to the flash drive. can that be done ? so i believe it will be "exporting" files to the drives. please advise.. thanks ! very clear vidieo !
thanks really helpful ;)
Not supporting documents and other file type transfer is a big bummer here. As much as I enjoy using my ipad, my old nexus 7 tablet was really handy when I could just attach a thumb drive to the USB adapter and copy PDF's, spread sheets, word docs, etc to use on the tablet on the go.
I feel like apple is making me jump through numerous hoops for me to achieve what should otherwise be a very simple task :\
Requiring me to install Itunes and manually sync files that way is a pain, especially when the person I'm getting files from may not have itunes installed on their computer.
Only other way I've seen is to do something like a google drive or drop box upload and then download the file on the ipad that way.
Android devices may have their fair share of headaches but easy file manipulation isn't one.
I agree fully. Apple is behind on this issue.
+FastRedPonyCar Yes, I am not happy either. I love photography and like to use my dSLR camera to take pictures, and would sometimes like to upload them to Facebook through my iPhone. However they have specifically made it so that I cannot download pictures to the iphone. I guess if I really wanted to I would have to also lug around an iPad just to transfer pictures from my camera to the ipad, then I can transfer the pictures from the ipad to my iphone. Just so I can upload pictures to social media. Or I can pay for a data plan for an ipad and upload directly from the iPad. I bought the more expensive apple products because it seemed like they were designed to work very well with few issues, but there seems to be no technical reason for this to not work on an iPhone, other than for maybe business reasons maybe--making you have to own both an iPad and an iPhone instead of just one. I'm sure Android would have a much simpler solution, but why would Apple make things easier for its customers when they make such a ridiculous amount of money off of them.
Another thing--they make it very impractical to use an iPad as a shared device within one household--you are basically set up with all your login info for email, facebook etc. pertinent for that device only. So apparently they expect everyone in the family to have their own $600 tablet. First world problems huh!
+E Ray I ended up getting a nexus 6p and the file transfer problem is a breeze now (and the phone is outstanding as well)
I have a transcend card reader that terminates to a micro usb plug and then use a little micro usb to type C adapter, plug into the phone and then just use android's file browser to copy the files I need from the SD card (I can preview them before copying) and then put them into specific folders wherever I need to on the nexus's internal storage.

I want to thank you for your video, I am not a pro I but I understood everything that you explained. A question. I am having problems with my iPhone 4S for some reason it shows that I can't back up at all. Not enough iCloud to get it done. Everybody are saying something different, what should I do ? I posted your video in Face Book so people ck. Your tutorials. Thanks again. Merry Christmas
Can you explain, the way how you connect a USB to your iPad in special Video? I mean with different USB hubs.
