I never realized the rounded square between the tool size bar and opacity bar was for color sampling (or eyedropper?). I always press & hold and it samples the color that way. I also didn't realize my drawings were at 173 dpi? Now I know how to change that - thanks!

I find the help tool inside procreate is a so good if you search for any how to’s it’ll be there. I’m not a pro at it at all and still learning, need the screen cover as I hate the ice skatie screen 🙃

Thanks for watching! Do you have a favourite brush pack for Procreate? I feel like I should stop being so basic and try some more brushes, 😆 (thank yooo)

That was so useful, thank you! Interesting that you mentioned you use the studio pen brush - I tried it the other day and it immediately made me think of your illustrations! So maybe limiting brushes can be a good thing as it makes your work more recognisable? Just my thoughts anyway 😊 can't wait to see the next vid! 🤓

Thanks Elizabeth! That's a good point re: brushes - it's just like using a certain pencil IRL and your work being recognised too. Limiting brushes saves indecision time if anything, haha. x

Great video for people dipping a toe in! For brushes, I really like the 6B pencil and the artist crayon. I like the texture of them, just struggle with vectorizing them or finding a brush in Illustrator that is comparable. Ah well. I do have a question for you though. How do you like to store your work once you're done? These files do add up.

Ooooh yes I forgot about 6B pencil - I also love that one :) The vector thing is a pain. The closest thing I've found is tracing the Procreate work in Adobe Illustrator but it's not ideal. One daaaay we'll get the easiness of Procreate + the versatility of vector graphics! One daaaay.

Such a great video, thanks Katie! I have one question regarding the paper-like screen protector. I really like it but I see that my apple pencil tip is getting smaller because of the friction. Do you have the same problem? Any tips?

Thanks Emma! No tips but I’ve noticed the same thing here. I recently bought replacement Apple Pencil tips but if you’re pressing hard / drawing a lot maybe the pen tips would work better rather than a paperlike screen protector - let me know how you get on!

Thanks Katie, only just installed Procreate so trying to figure it all out and some excellent pointers here! Still not sure how to fill… 🫥🙄🤔
