We were always Epcot resort are fans. We finally stayed at Contemporary last year and fell in love with it. We love the monorail loop. I wish it wasn’t so expensive.
I’ve always dreamed of staying at the Contemporary. I love that monorail comes through the tower. And I’ve always loved hotel that rooms overlook an atrium.
Don’t have to dream! U can put $200 down and book when they have a discounted rate or rent dvc points . You can save monthly up to 30 of your vaca! I saved a whole 8 months straight for a 7 night vaca here and I’m not rich at all matter fact quite the opposite but I spoil myself and son when I can
My first ever trip to WDW back in the mid-1980's, we stayed in the Garden Wing (it was MUCH more affordable back then) and one of the best perks of staying at the Contemporary Resort was the Fiesta Fun Room (the arcade which included a shooting gallery) and a free movie theatre for resort guests. Even if it rained, we had a place to play, eat, watch movies, etc. Thank you for the overview of one of my most nostalgic Disney stays. (And as an addendum...I think Fry has a second career in being a voiceover for those relaxation CDs/videos!)
Stayed at the Contemporary in the late 80s. It was just okay - the Monorail was the biggest selling point. Will go for some of the restaurants (Steakhouse ‘71!) but not to stay.
Stayed here all throughout my childhood. Taking my husband in August for our late honeymoon married 8 years ago lol it’ll be his first visit to WDW and had to splurge for contemporary and theme park view
I originally booked our upcoming trip here but changed it to Beach Club because I’m not sold. The pool area doesn’t scream $600+ per night to me at all.
My favorite hotel! (I guess because we are the same age - LOL) Also, I stayed here as a child (this one and the Polynesian). My daughter loves it because it is easy access to MK. Love the walkway to the park.
I just had to stay at the contemporary. The beginning of December and It was my 52nd year of visiting Disney. My 1st day was at the contemporary. And I try to stay there at least once a year. I flip-flop between there and will derness. But I was club level back in December. And although I'm not a fan of the rooms cause, I think they should have made some especially club level that are more themed for the adults who are traveling without children. I can still remember what are sweet look like from 1971. But one thing for sure has not changed about that hotel. The nostalgia the service and the location. I always have a fantastic stay from the front desk. People the bellman all the cast members. I always feel like I'm home. I feel safe. I've never had a bad meal. I actually already have a reservation to go in April. I realize this hotel isn't for everybody. But it really is a fun hotel. So if you can't stay there, at least go visit steakhouse 71 fabulous food if you sit at the bar. And Michael is working you're in good hands. The quick service restaurant the little bar next to chef mickeys. The shops fabulous highly recommend. Just the resort hop, but if you get to stay there, you won't forget it. Especially if you go back-and-forth to magic Kingdom. Thanks for this great video you guys always do a great job.
I'm not sure why The Incredibles is so controversial. You've already chosen to visit DW. It's all themed. The Incredibles is probably one of the most "adult" animated universes with a "contemporary" esthetic. Other than the beds being just the right height for anyone 6'4" and above, i found the theming matched the feel of the building.
I was just at the Contemporary for 4 days, dragged there by my wife. I researched nothing. Steakhouse 71 looks like the most reasonably priced restaurant in the whole park. I wish i had looked that one up.
CR is my least favorite deluxe resort, I'm not a fan of the theming. I don't normally let theming come into my choice but that one just gets me, not in a good way. I'm also not a fan of the monorail and since you have to take it to get to Epcot, which I like better than MK it goes off my list. For that matter, all the MK resorts come of my list unless I'm doing a split stay for that reason. MK is a half day park for us, although we do hop in and out for a hour or two other days so staying close is just not a draw. I have stayed at all of them, Poly more than a few times but that was before the Epcot resorts opened.
My heart says Contemporary, but my bank account says All Star Sports
😂😂😂

Spending a few nights in an MK view room, hitting up the parks then headed to the port for a cruise to Lookout Cay. Can't wait. Thanks for the vid!
Such a great pair of resorts for anyone who loves the easy accessibility to the Magic Kingdom!

Can you still hear the fireworks music if you go up a few floors from the concourse?

Reasons to go: you have the money. Reasons not to go: you don’t have the money.
exactly
😂😂😂😂😂😂, is so true.
I'm finally going to be staying there due to having some rather-specific travel credits. @@luisbperez368
Sadly true and what we are dealing with right now
Will I see the water pageant from the non resort side of the tower
Poor Fry you sound a bit sick in your voice. If you’re not feeling well I hope you get well soon! ❤️🩹🍟🪣

Do an all ears disney bound challenge video

davids rental soesnt list the contemporary resort on it
Can u hear the noise from inside the room?
You can hear the louder noises in the room.

Once they put the incredibles cheap mcm retheme in it was a hard no from me. Does not look upscale.
"I am not a crook."
Tried David’s. Gave specific dates. She said no availability, she did not offer Any options. Sooo.. not much help
Why is Fry doing a Quincy video?
My worst resort. It really needs an overhaul. It’s dated and grubby throughout the main lobby and dining areas.
I've been in a lot of grubby places and The Contemporary is not one of them.
I like the contemporary so I'm away from the Poors
voice is completely not matched up with the video lol it’s so confusing to watch
