Aww, you cut out one of my favorite parts of the Tywin-Arya moment. "They say he can't be killed." "And do you believe them?" "No, my lord... anyone can be killed." *glares at Tywin*
Agreed, that part at the end was the whole point of the exchange. Of course, we've all seen it, but when the reactors talk over it, we don't know if they heard it or not.
Fun fact: The actor playing Hallyne the Pyromancer(that old dude showing the wildfire) Roy Dotrice is the narrator for all of the audiobooks in Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. He currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most characters voiced in a single audiobook, for tackling a whopping 224 characters in Martin's first ASOIAF novel, A Game of Thrones, which runs 33 hours and 36 minutes long in its narrated form. Sadly he passed away at age 94 last October.
Jesse Pinkman, I will say it is very uncomfortable to have him read the sex scenes to me. I'm just like "oh thanks, someone's Grandpa, for giving me that very juicy sex scene." I think I have like 15 hours left in the third book. I have an hour drive to work and back everyday so I just listen to it and I've slowly been finishing the whole series.
I hate when people say "don't get too attached to anyone", the whole point of a great show is to get attached so that when those characters are taken from us it's meaningful. It also overhypes expectations that main characters will by dying left and right, but it's not that bad really.
Besides, they'll learn soon enough not to get attached if they haven't already. I agree, though. If you don't fall in love with the characters, the show isn't doing its job.
Nikki, love the reaction to Brienne swearing loyalty to Caitlyn. I am a 63 year old man and the times in GoT's when my eyes watered up were scenes like this, when out of all the darkness, the light shines through. Love what you two are doing and am enjoying your journey as much as I enjoyed my own.
That "negative Nancy" guy is named Eddison Tollett but they call him Dolorous Edd precisely because he's such a downer all the time. He's funny, though, so they like him.
I forgot how good this episode is! The assassin's name is Jaqen H'Ghar (pronounced JACK-in HA-gar). I love all the interaction between Arya and Tywin. All that stuff was never in the books and completely written for the show, and I'm so glad they did that! Their conversations are still some of my favorites of the whole series. Another awesome reaction, guys!
Not a spoiler. He already told Arya his name and where he is from. It was in episode 2x02 when she freed him from the cage. On top of that, Nikki said she wanted to know his name. It doesn't spoil anything.
Marcusinmilw just used the word “spoiler” to highlight for the moderators to determine. Maybe better to point out where the name was spoken to the reactors to help!😉
Do yourselves a favor, and try to skip the "previously on" parts. I understand they're convenient, but especially in the later seasons they can spoil some surprises. For example, they might remind you of a long-absent character or plotline, and you'll immediately know they will be returning in that episode.
The „Previously on“ from the later episodes of S2 of Westworld were pretty good though and didn’t really spoil much. Pretty sure they changed how they do them after fans complaining about spoilers in mid season.
A little tip in this season the characters have these ages: Cersei and Jaime are 37 years old (don't forget that they are twins) Tyrion is 32 years old Jon is 18 years old Robb is 18 years old Dany is 17 years old Joffrey is 17 years old Sansa is 14 years old Arya is 12 years old Brann is 11 years old Rickon is 7 years old In this season it is 299 A.C (after the conquest) In the books they are younger..

14 seasons should’ve been the move gives characters to develop and solve more of these plot holes in the show. Like the history of the lord of light, the warlock and Dany after she escaped what happened?, so many plot holes left untouched that needs to be resolved. It’s like the game Assassins Creed. There’s the main plot and side quest. You do the side quest so you can understand the main plot more.
This series spawned 10000 endgame theory videos, blog posts, essays, & articles. Nikki is barely into S2 & predicts the end with 100% accuracy See also: Steven's offhanded comment from nowhere in early S5 about Jon Snow having "king's blood"

You can put it out with sand or dirt, though. The Pyromancer guild uses that in case of emergency, flooding the chambers with sand/dirt in case it gets ignited, it supposedly extinguishes the fire.
historically, there's something called Greek fire that floated on water and it's still a mystery how did Romans made it, you should check it out, i believe that was an inspiration
Well, it eventually burns out because everything runs out of energy. Otherwise King's Landing would pretty much be eternally on fire since the reign of the Mad King.
Tywin was the guy w/ the Fake eye on Last action hero, awesome movie. Also Jaquen was in the cage with two mean guys who were scared of him. Rorge and Biter
Halfway done with the season guys! You're burning through these! Loved your reactions and genuine surprise. "...front pocket." LMAO So many Nikki eyerolls this episode! Could've been a drinking game to rival "Winter is coming!" "Demon monkey?" 😕 Love Tyrion! lol 😂 Arya/Tywin scenes are the BEST! Very few people can share scenes with Charles Dance and not be completely overshadowed. Gives testament to Maisie's talents. Mysterious dude is Jaquen H'ghar. Finally as an aside, this show really proves just how underused Gwendolyn Christie was in The new star wars flicks. Such a wasted opportunity!
Renley did have some good qualities as a leader, but he lacked moral strength and was ambitious. He had the same flaws as Robert, but lacked his grit and physical prowess. He talked the talk, not sure he would ever have walked the walk. I mean he always knew he had no claim to the throne, but was prepared to kill his brother for something he had no right to; at least Stannis and Joffrey think it is lawfully there's. Any way his death means that around half the forces that were following him have gone over to Stannis, (the mean from the Baratheon controlled Storm lands), as Stannis is their rightful liege lord anyway (The last surviving Baratheon Lord, and the rightful king). However the Highgarden soldiers; those under the command of the Tyrells have not gone over to Stannis, they have withdrawn back to the Reach.
Moral strength? Stannis is the one willing to commit kinslaying to gain power. Renly had the morality to care for people below him and want to do right by them. Stannis only cared about the law...when it suited him. Kinslaying is a crime in Westeros.
Renley was also willing to commit kinslaying, the only difference was he would have done it in battle. Yes Renley did show compassion for the people below him, but he was also willing to have thousands of them die so that he could be king, when he knew he didn't have any lawful claim to the throne. There is a line in the books that sums them up: Robert was the true steel, Stannis is iron; he will break before he bends, Renley is bronze he looks good but is soft. (Obviously I'm paraphrasing due to a poor memory). When he has to make tough moral choices (like whether Danerys and her child should be killed) he sides with the likes of Littlefinger and Pycelle, a true political animal just like them.
New subby I literally binge watched all of your GOT reactions from season 1 lastnight and woke up to a brand new reaction from you guys? You guys are the best, Keep them coming.
Yes! The actor who plays Tywin Lannister plays in the movie Last Action Hero and his real name is Charles Dance. Btw, my favorite band made two songs for the soundtrack for Last Action Hero. Alice In Chains made “What the Hell Have I” and “A Little Bitter”
loved it! i've been meaning to get back into game of thrones for a while (i think i've watched up to the beginning episode of season 6) and this is an awesome way for me to get refreshed on the show and see your reactions.
Awesome video, as always. I was going to buy the season 1-7 box set, but read reviews that said there were picture and audio problems on both DVD and blu ray sets. I am going to start watching this, eventually. I may have to buy the seasons separately. From your videos, I am really excited to see this in its entirety. Thank You again for the awesome video ☺
Boyd Crowder You probably are better off buying the seasons separately. You'll get a lot more than just the episodes, more content especially in blu-ray edition!
