- In this graphite tutorial I'll show how to draw short fur in graphite when drawing this French Bulldog. I show the importance of layering, pencil technique and the use of various erasers to achieve maximum depth when drawing realistic fur in graphite.

Beautiful portrait! Can I ask which Strathmore paper do you usually use?
Usually the vellum =)
I've noticed in a couple of your videos now that you have an eraser guide with tape on it. Can you tell me what that is and how you use it? I have those same eraser guides. Are you using the tape to lift graphite off?
It's an erasing shield with tape on which can then be used to remove graphite =)

What value graphite powder dp you use? Ihave graphite blocks i can sand into powder, but im not sure if i should use HB, 2B OR 4B. THX
It depends on how dark you need the graphite powder layer. I use ones similar to a HB and 7B.
Can you add all your graphics pet portraits you have on here to your patreon?
Which ones? I'm not sure whether I have the footage as some of the portraits were drawn a while ago. This French Bulldog is up on Patreon.

@@aaymjen I'd go back through TH-cam and check. I may not have the original clips because some of these were done years ago.
